I sat and watched this guy show how he secures his loads. This is the 1st video where I was not irritated by the person in the video. He was very straightforward and calm throughout the entirety of the video. I felt for the first time that I will be able to secure my loads when chains are required. I have subscribed with a thumbs up!!!
Placing binder on the trailer pocket puts stress on the binder chain link . Place binder on skid steer boom . The binder will be on a straight pull without interference , secure chain to pocket .Good video .
I couldn’t tell which side of the chain link you hooked the ratchet to but never hook it to the welded side always hook to the backside I deliver tractors for Larry Stovesand Equipment out of Nashville and I’ve learned a lot from watching videos like this. Keep up the good work and be safe out there
I’m towing a loader 600 miles to my property tomorrow. I’ve got it covered but I wish I had seen your video first. I’m traveling from Florida to Georgia. I have separate 3/8 70 chains and ratchet binders for all four corners. I didn’t know one chain could be used for two points. You sir have a new sub. Great video.
Hey, thanks for watching. Yes, I was showed in California from a trucker because cali is strick on 4 points. As long as the points are independent of each other.
Howdy, new subscriber from Texas. I watch several hotshot channels, thought I would check out yours. I see that you are just getting started on TH-cam. I like the fact that you show more than just driving the roads - most viewers enjoy seeing the pickups, strapping, drop offs and maintenance also. And of course, the occasional drama and traumas... 😵 Good luck!
FYI: Should of had 3 straps on that truck body (1 strap every 4'). Put at least 1 twist in each strap to keep them from thunder flapping during highway speeds. And believe it or not I've received a equipment violation warning for straps that had minor fraying possibly less that that 1 strap of yours is showing. Guess it all depends on the DOT cop. Always carry emergency donuts !!!
Grab hooks on the Bobcat loader lift arms? looks like they are being pulled is such a manner that they could be spread at the hook bend, I was under the influence You shouldn't put that spreading pull on a GRAB hook?
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I took the minimum 3 points as contact as being per connection from unit to trailer. Those three points haft to be touching the trailer in securing load to it. So basically you have a 2 points of contact on the excavator with 4 (2) point contacts.
hey in the beginning of the video you said cool rock formation, lol it’s not a rock formation it was a mountain that was blasted with dynamite so that a road can be built through it it was cut that way by man with dynamiteTo prevent avalanches in the future.

Yep I second that.
I was thinking the same thing.. So many times people give good info but are so annoying to listen too but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this guy..
You know sometimes I think that TH-cam is the greatest Invention on earth I learned so much from this platform and from this particular channel

You just taught me so much…thanks

Not necessarily true, the weld must always be equal or stronger than the material is bonding to.
@@truckeralvarez5932 not necessarily true for a weld is also the weakest point, in theory…the weld is always the breaking point

Hello I'm new here and I'm wondering what do u mean by donut?
I guess he means extra Rolled up straps.
He means donuts for the cops... 😄
Yes.. at the time I was wondering too. Thanks Positively Negative.
Muchas gracias y gran video mucha información necesaria
Thats the Cumberland gap in the intro, driven through many times
can u do more securing loads in a hot shot trucking, please?
You are placing undo pressure on the link of the chain binder as it passes through the chain pocket .
Do you know why the roll of straps were on that side of your truck??
Grab hooks on the Bobcat loader lift arms? looks like they are being pulled is such a manner that they could be spread at the hook bend, I was under the influence You shouldn't put that spreading pull on a GRAB hook?
I'll have to check that out.
Thanks bruce.
Good job buddy
More vids !!!!!
Thanks!!
Thanks
Question: I new to hot shot.. But been a CDL driver for 22 yrs. Is it different other that the lack of a sleeper..
If fthis skid steer is over 10,000 pounds its considered a heavy load and needs four chains and 4 blinders to be legal in canada.
Did you use one chain for each side ?
You can see in the video 1 chain at rear and 1 at front. But 4 separate binders to make 4 separate securements.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I took the minimum 3 points as contact as being per connection from unit to trailer. Those three points haft to be touching the trailer in securing load to it. So basically you have a 2 points of contact on the excavator with 4 (2) point contacts.
What size binders and chains?
Your trailer showing that you’re above 26 k lb, do u have CDL?
Yes. I have CDL.
anytime u add a goose neck trailer 25ft and up then u need CDL
@@mallen1317 the gooseneck trailer can be up to 40ft as longn as your weight is under 26,001lbs
Молодець.
??
Where are you out of.
Atlanta, GA
😇💪🏽😇
If equipment is over 10,000 pounds u r required 4 points of tie downs
He does have 4 points of contact. I see 4 binders
@@RedskinzFan yes i know i was just putting that out there for everyone thanks
It’s not rock formation It’s where They drilled holes to blasts to make the highway but still is cool looking
I know That road to well b4 that pilot flying j was built out there nowhere to park at.
Yep.
You said it.
👍🏾
Not sure but isn't that sort of cheating?? I thought you need a chain for each tie-down point ?
dont u wanna drive a semi??
Why you ask?
Hot Shot Adventures dont u make more when u drive a semi??
Cool

I like this comment... I know most of you get it.
Look at the wavy lines of the way the mountain was formed. Not the vertical drill lines they use to place the dynamite to blast.
states have nothing to do with it. Its federal law requiring four separate points of securement for equipment.
You may be right. But ive never seen feds pulling anyone over to inspect. Its the state.
Binder hooks look too big for that chain
