The strap over the hood is incorrect , the suspension bouncing will bend the hood . Place a small 1” ratchet strap from the frame over the hood to the other side of the frame , Tie down front of truck like this . Place chain hook in wheel hole , pass chain through chain pocket ahead of tire . Then pull chain to a chain pocket rear of tire . Pull chain out of pocket and hook to wheel hole . Place binder in place .
@@vicpetrishak7705 The strap over the hood is prob not the ideal way but I didn’t tighten it real hard so minimal suspension movement didn’t do anything. Plus this truck is made out of harder metal vs tinfoil vehicles are made from these days. Your method of strapping the hood is incorrect as well because doing it your way, I’ll bend the fenders. On securing the vehicle, why would I run the chain through the wheel and damage the wheel? I had zero issues with the way I secured it.
Looking in to getting in to hot shots myself brother and I really appreciate your videos, I've learned so much from you. From the bottom of my heart god bless you and your family, keep them coming great content
hey alex you know what i started using for the binders 3-1 multi purpose oil lube works great and im not having to lube the binders as often as i use to
Watch a bunch of your videos. May I suggest that your chaining is over complicated. Would recommend binder direct to the trailer and then wrap the chain around the axle or securement place and hook the chain to itself. Easier and gives you a lesser chance for something going wrong.
Brother my first week out was two weeks ago. I was headed to my first load I got pulled over in waxahachie Texas level 1 inspection. He gave me a citation for 39% tint. So now I had to rip my front windows off🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ hope to see you out there on the road brother!
@@adamdeleon3131 That sucks. I hate that. It’s so uncomfortable to drive with all that full brightness coming through the side windows. See ya on the road sometime 👍🏻

I had 5% on my hotshot truck lol I would roll the front windows down before rolling through weigh stations and left them down when I got an inspection 🤣 Got lucky I guess
On passenger vehicles each state has different laws on the legality of percentages, however, on commercial vehicles FMCSA states you’re allowed 70% on the front windows (windshield, driver door, passenger door) nationally. Therefore, it’s kind of pointless so that’s why most commercial vehicles tint the front windows.
Just tell those worthless jackwagons that the truck is domiciled in FL and in FL window tint is legal, you’ll just roll through Kansas with your windows down. 😂

Old Ford grain body truck. Early-mid 60's. Bet it's been around that farm it's whole life.
That old Ford truck sounds almost exactly like the sound effects for the car in Chitty, Chitty, Bang bang, Lol!!

Lol it's the law In ur FMCSA hand book chains can't rub by kris crossing. Must have padding between chains if touching.

Do you have to have DOT (somewhere) inspect that you've removed your tint? (I sure wouldn't remove mine either!)
