I bought an old Hobie Cat 14 but it was in good shape . . When coming about the main would invariably back wind so I needed a jib . I had no idea how to rig one . I was lucky enough to find Dray Murray ( Of Murrays in Carpenteria , Cal . ) I live in Maine where no Hobie Cat dealers are found . After asking for a few pictures of my old boat and it's rigging he was so helpful in sending all the jib rigging including the jib (with my choice of color) plus good instructions . Very personalized service despite the continental distance between us . He's a great resource for all your sailing problems . Bill B
Glad it helped. If you need anything give Rob a call at South Bay Sail and Kayak 315-438-8915. He is the local Hobie dealer with many years of experience.
Don't count on Fast Lane in San Diego to help you, they could care less if you need help. I had to trailer my rig to Oceanside for help because the San Diego dealer was such a worthless POS.
Thank you for posting this. The VHS is good enough to see what is going on.

not for a beginner as there are to many terms to contend with but it is fairly comprehensive and helpful if you have an older model Hobie 16.
Thank you. Got an old boat. Trying to figure all this out without any help is rough. Trial and error mostly.
