I couldn't agree with you more!! After my vet whom we used well into 2 decades retired, the new vet who bought his business went up on prices 3 fold!!!!!! Plus was like human doctors, scheduled appointments every 15 minutes. We left that crazy 🤪 Biach. You can't do crap in under 15 minutes!!!

@@mrs.b6719 I think the main problem is that so many vet clinics now belong to multinational companies with shareholders. It is not that the vets themselves are greedy, but the companies that now own them are. Few vets are actually getting rich.
@Pamela Selwyn In the area we live in, ALL the veterinary offices ARE owned by the doctor or doctors themselves.Over a span of multiple counties. NONE are corporations, sooo, they ARE making the money for themselves and keeping all the profits. In fact, one of my best vets recently purchased another new home, custom built, to the tune of OVER a 1/2 MILLION DOLLARS!!
My chihauhua that is going on 14 years old was diagnosed with TCC bladder cancer nearly a year ago. Our vets did not know anything about cancer treatment except for chemo. I prayed and asked Jesus to give me wisdom to know what I could do to save her life. I did the fenbenzanole four times a week along with cranbladder chews and turkey tail and hemp oil and tumeric. I took her to the vets yesterday for the first time since the diagnosis to get an ultrasound to view her bladder. I knew that the cancer had been stalled because she does not have peeing accidents and can go 3-4 hours without peeing if she so wishes. No blood in her urine. The vet told me to keep doing whatever I was doing because she is in great shape and is happy and healthy.

Two of these mentioned is exactly what happened to father & son ~Jackson & Lucas. My boys 🐶🐶
Jackson the father 12yrs old woke up on morning early & he wasn’t himself…waited for vet to open. He had a tumor in his spleen & it wasn’t bleeding out yet. Dr taught me about checking his gums. He had a successful surgery to remove the tumor. While in recovery had cardiac arrest. He was & always will be my soul dog. Then 2yrs later his son Lucas(they where two years apart)12yrs old Lucas had swollen lymph nodes. He had lymphoma. I had the honor of a couple more weeks. Good days & bad. I slept on the floor with him. He didn’t want to sleep in his doggie beds or mine. He let me know he was tired. Both of them changed my life & I learned so much. The greatest loves absolutely magnificent. So grateful they where in my life & forever in my heart 🙏🏻🐾❤️🐾🐾💙🐾

As humans, we are taught that dogs do not possess souls. Simply look into their eyes and comprehend everything they know about you, and every move you make. They will watch over you, guard you; and they will love you untill they draw their last breath.
To all that have lost pets, I used to have a pet grooming shop for 30 years and what I told my customers is,,,,just remember we are for the most part, and likely going to out live our pets,,, and know one very important thing,,,,that you just gave your pet its best life 🙏
I had a dog at about 9 that started to drag his nails. I took him to his veterinarian who said they would have to do testing to the tune of $5,000+- to find out what was causing it and they didn't think it would matter due to no treatments. As time went he would lag as his leg was slow to move forward. By the time he was 12 he started knuckling and scraping until his knuckles bled along with the other mentioned symptoms. By this time I knew he had degenerative myelopathy and told the veterinarian. They said there was nothing they could do. At 13 years & 10 months I had to let him go as he could no longer get himself up or walk. I wish thet would have helped him. But they just didn't want to. He was such a good dog. I miss him so much.
My boy Bran passed of what Hoochie had! He only had the white gums right at the very end, and even when I checked about an hour or two before his passing his gums were still quite pinky-red... I'm glad that Hoochie had a slower/easier time with his bleeds, as my boy did not. One minute he was "ok" (just seemed slowed by age and arthritis) and the next he had slipped away.
Please don't blame yourself for not understanding what Bran had, some pets are extremely good at hiding the symptoms, and diseases progress in different ways, sometimes there is no evidence of what's going on.
You were alert and ready to support your sweet Bran, he knew he was loved and well cared for, and that's what matters.

Owners who have lost their dog like me feels we should have been more attentive and notice the changes before its too late..but I also feel like some vets drop the ball.. when I check my dog, they read the xray as normal only later to find out he had pulmonary heart failure 😢. 2yrs ago to the date and I still miss my miki.

Find a caring holistic vet or do all your research online and get your vet to implement what you are wanting for your pets. It's about your pets and not how many dollars can fit into the vets pockets. Change to a super clean raw diet including eggs, fish oils, veggies etc and only filtered water, no tap water! Never feed dry or can. There are zero nutrients and totally processed. Don't be fooled by what they put on the label/bag. No different to us eating crap. Visit a pet shop and go straight to their frozen raw fridge. I'm a huge fan of NAS NatAnimSolutions. If you can step it up to organic, than yay! Also try adding appropriate supplements for your pets age & conditions, eg hip/joint, seasonal allergy support etc. Just like how DrJones says it.
My 13yo dog and 3yo cat are thriving on these and i only have them as examples.
Back in 2015, I attended The MasterChops seminar and what I heard/saw that day changed the way I viewed my pets nutrition and health. Look up them speakers and follow their advice too. Two of them are from the US(mind blowing)...
Bottom line and i am only going by my experience with my pets, do what is best for each individual one of them and see what works for each.

Very true. I have a 14 senior lil gal. Till this day I still remember getting at 2 weeks she was a little fluff ball. Now I see her aging with me and its scary. Oh well that's life. I just feel time went by so fast. Blessings to you and your Aussies

I do Dr Pitkairn’s protocol and I cook for them and filter water and proper exercise, massage, best supplements …..etc. Still, even the most intensive spa therapy 😉 they can get, still we all age and thrive at the same time. My dog Whitney, started limping. A couple of days later she still was so I took her to her vet. She did an xray and told me she had osteosarcoma of the hip. That hit me so hard. She only lived a few more weeks because her pain rapidly became intractable so she had to be put down. It was so devastating for me.

Doctor, you are so right about the initial, soft tumour which soon becomes more firm, and advances rapidly.
I thought Buster, my little foxy, had a toe nail infection because that is exactly what it looked like; and not dissimilar to those of my other fur babies previous toe nail infections.
I heeded your advice when I noticed how quickly the cyst became enlarged; and I arranged an appointment with a veterinary practice.
Apparently, the type of carcinoma "Butty" had, does have a chance of reoccuance, but the entire mass was removed, and apparently, being an older canine, the cancer does not spread as quickly, so.I am.keeping my fingers crossed.
I cannot imagine life without Butty. He is thirteen years old with no previous health impediments.
I am so grateful for your.critical teachings. We are struggling out in the bush here in Queensland, Australia, on an off grid set up, and our canines are never left alone. A couple of them were rescue dogs, but despite our less than perfect lifestyle, our doggies are dearly loved and we do the best we can to give them the happiest existence possible.
My fur babies all sleep with me, and during our very short winters, they are swift to let me know when I have hogged the bed covers! These days, I am on auto pilot and if I hear a whimper, I at once cast the bed covers into the direction of that sound!

Thank you for this video. My service dog Gracie stopped eating but drank alot of water this was for a couple weeks I took her to the vet they did blood tests and she was in full kidney failure and passed away 3 weeks later. She was 12 almost 13 years old. I have been watching you for a few years and knew that for 2 weeks of not eating hardly and drinking alot wasn't good, I had to wait to get into my vet and to get that bad news. I gave her lactate subq twice a day for over a week took her back and there was no change in kidney function. The hardest thing was to see my beloved dog go through that.

One day, my furry boy was acting not his usual self and was sleeping a lot. He was lethargic and when I tried to feed him or give him water, I noticed that his gums were pale. I rushed to the store to pick up beets and red meat. Took him to the vet and they scheduled an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that his spleen had a tumor and was bleeding out. He had to get his spleen removed. Every few days I ran to the store to pick up beets and beef and had him on that diet while he was bleeding out for over two weeks. The doctor could not believe he had survived that long while bleeding out. Eventually, my boy had the surgery and removed his spleen and the biopsy after the surgery showed that he was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. He also had severe abscess around his buttocks so every day for a couple of hours I kept cleaning his butt area and consistently medicated it for three weeks. He was on a very strong antibiotic as well so he was nauseated. After his spleen was removed, his eyes started spinning resulting in vertigo. This was possibly due to nystagmus, a vestibular disease since his eyes move up and down so something neurological. To this day, I am currently with my 12 year old furry pup 24/7 day and night, I sleep with him just incase he gets vertigo at night and throughout the day to be there for him. Yesterday was his vertigo day so he would not eat or get up to go pee as he wants to stay close to the floor. But today was his good day. I try to give him Turkey Tail mushrooms as it suppresses the growth of tumors and I have boxes of Yunnan Baiyao stashed in case he ever bleeds out again. I hope this helps anyone who is experiencing something similar with their beloved pup.
Also forgot to mention, when my pup has vertigo, I cover his eyes with a towel so he doesn't see the room spinning and it helped him significantly. And my pups doctor was the best vet I have ever seen, he cared for my pup as if he was his own. He pretty much held my hand for a month during recovery. I cannot say enough about him.
Pipi: "Every time I come over to play with my friend Tula his daddy pokes around on me." Sweet Pip is a good sport. Look how good he was about opening his mouth wow my dog would never ever allow me to do that and I try often. The older he gets the worse he'll let me do anything.
I love this channel. Amazing info and practical advice. Yes it's true that a lot of old dogs don't get the right care, even if they are lucky enough to have loving owners. Dogs are only here for a short time. I want to make every phase of their lives joyful. This helps! 🙏😀❤️
My 14.5 year old JR had problems weeing, it came on really suddenly and we found out that she had bladder cancer. It is a very aggressive cancer and they couldn’t do anything for her. We had to do what was right by her although it broke our hearts! I’d never heard of it before….
Also we had a 7yr old dog that got mouth cancer, we were really shocked as she had regular vet checks and nothing was noted….

What worries me is the number of older dogs in shelters never having any hope of finding a proper home because of veterinary costs. We are in our late seventies caring for our seventeen year old. Cost here in the UK skyrocketing, not the fault of our young vet who is a local farmer's wife paying high tax and health insurance for herself along with pension fund, she's not the one making money. At one time we had six rescued dogs, but fear this will be our last. Just wish I could have brought that old GSD home from the shelter.
5 years ago I lost my dashhound to thyroid cancer. It was very difficult to make the decision to let her go. Cancer is on the rise with dogs according to my vet.
Someone gave me 40$ and a labrabull whos 12/13 years old :( it was that or the shelter her reasons are her own however this dog will be given the best life possible with the short time we have together

I lost one of my Boxers boys to hemangiosarcoma. At the time, it appeared spontaneously and got him to the vet. Not much to do at this point, but since he was already eating a raw diet, we started giving him organ meat and supplements to support him. He lived about 6-7 more months and it was a daily check of gums from here on out. The second time around, he was ready to go. Silent killer indeed.

Great video. Some pet parents start to feel like they are being paranoid as their dogs age. It's helpful to have clear hallmarks of when to go to the vet. My 9 year old dog skipped one meal and because she was always so food obsessed, I took her to the vet the next day. The day before, she was walking fine, looked fine, just didn't seem as interested in food. The vet ran tests and said she needed a blood transfusion right away. Over the next two days, she got 4 blood transfusions, along with all the meds to push down her immune reaction but non of them worked. The vet said her immune system was destroying the new blood as fast as they introduced it. They then explained that she had developed a heart murmur and that if they continued with transfusions, she may end up having a stroke and dying anyways. We took her home and had her euthanized in her favorite place. What is crazy is how fast it all was. IMHA looks different in different dogs. I've read so many accounts and have been surprised how some dogs who were vomiting and not walking responded well to treatment and survived, while others pass away even after seemingly just a little sick at first. I will always wonder if I could have saved her had I taken her to the emergency the night she didn't eat, but she had no other signs.

Thank you for all your uploads - your channel has helped and encouraged me to take more responsibility for my dog's health and to understand what sort of things to look for. Since subscribing to your channel years back, i also stopped feeding my dogs kibble, now making home made meals for all meals throughout the day (I feed them twice a day).

@@lisahalston3154 I got it in a liquid form from a health food store.. it's good for 2 and 4 legger's LoL.. for him I put it in a little spray bottle 2 squirts a day. Honestly his cough has completely GONE.

My 16 yr old small boy poodle just past away but I knew it was his heart before him his brother I had as well knew he had heart issues I was talked onto treating it which I think killed him faster ,I had started making my own dog food along with a little kibble added I think kept my last little boy alive almost 3 yrs longer ,my groomer asked me my secret with my other dogs on keeping a little more healthier I told her my secret was not going to the vet ,my last little boy did well until the last 2 days he lost his appetite and stopped coughing so knew it was his final days so did have him put asleep and the vet said half of his heart was filled with fluid and I know the death symptoms and she said she could try to drain his heart but would have to put him under to drain it and already knew he wouldn't survive it at 16 yrs and 2 mos old ,so strange to have him not here after getting him in 2007 ,I also credit you for learning a better lifestyle for my animals on taking some things into my own to help him survive longer which I thank you Dr Andrew

8 years ago it cost us $4,000 to cure our North Ontario rescue dog of Heartworm. We have stopped all testing now and hope for the best. No more vets and therefore no more pets for us.
Ivermectin bought from Amazon can treat heart worms inexpensively. It's injectable BUT ONLY GIVE IT TO DOGS ORALLY.

My 11 y o lab all of a sudden got this nail bed infection, limping .THey say its a common thing , i never heard of it. Now the toe is swollen .. I am using epsom salt and neosporin on it

I'm so glad you mentioned anemia/less energy. My 10 y/o chihuahua showed a decrease in exercise tolerance. She wasn't anemic, but an ultrasound revealed a tiny mass in her spleen. Her spleen was removed, and thank goodness it wasn't hemangiosarcoma. It was, however, indolent b-cell lymphoma. Her prognosis is still good, with careful screening with an oncologist.

Unfortunately, with the cost of veterinary services being ridiculously high, a lot of pets suffer unnecessary. And on top of this vets, see your pet as an open cheque book. I had a 14 year old Yorkshire terrior, and he had a couple of cysts but instead of leaving them, the vet insisted on getting him in and removing them. He under went surgery an a total of 7 were removed at a cost if £3,500. 10 days after surgery he was very unwell so we went back with him. They insisted on something being very wrong and sedated him and did expiratory surgery and found he had liver cancer. They called us to say nothing could be done and he was euthanized there and then. If they had performed an x-ray or MRI scan, all this could have been prevented, and he wouldn't have had to have undergone that previous unnecessary surgery and expense to us. Like I said, it's like a final open cheque book, the dog was 14 and was at the end of his life. Nowadays, my dogs, who are both 8 years old, get fresh meat and fish every day, coq10, CBD oil, K2 + D3 in their kefir protein . They also get black seed oil I don't trust my vet one bit although it's a different vet as 1 of my dogs has epilepsy and has Epiphen medication for that and she also has a weak heart valve and the vet wants £280 for a ultrasound scan and will then want to put her on more medication and on top of this the medication will be issued at a different month to the Epiphen just on the basis that it is a legal requirement for vets to do a consultation every 3 months of regular prescription drugs to look for side effects. It all about generating money and dodgy unregulated rules. I've refused any further medication because of the damage the Epiphen will be doing, and I don't want her on heart medication on top. So I give her Coq10 to help with her heart, it's natural and has no side effects. She has been on it for 6 months and no longer has that cough when she drinks water. I question everything with my vets, and I mean everything because they will pull on your heart strings to give them treatment on the basis of your love for the animal. Legal crooks, in my opinion.
Sorry for your loss. Very true most vets are so expensive and make you feel bad if you don't want to follow on their treatments. Few years back didn't really care much about how much vets were charging because I thought they were actually taking care of my little ones. But after many failed attempts on saving two of my dogs I lost all kind of trust in them. Literally every day they wanted to do all kinds of test for a pretty penny. Now lesson learned I'm sticking to one vet that seems to be honest plus I'm not financially stable to be throwing money left and right. It is sad though how many of us cannot afford health care much worse for our pets.
@Cookie Cazares sorry to hear you been taken for a ride with dodgy vets, but it seems to be the norm nowadays. I have learnt to do my own research with regard to pet health, and I'm always on the lookout for natural remedies. My latest vet, whom I told I was suspicious when it came to vets said she wasn't like that and was sad that I felt that way, but then went straight into a speil about getting an ultrasound if my dogs heart as she may require medication. I said I have no intention of having the ultrasound and wouldn't put her on any other medication because she's already on Epiphen, and that's damaging enough on its own. She has, since on 2 occasions, asked my wife to reconsider my decision, which, thankfully, my wife told her that it wasn't going to happen. I've not told the vet that I have my dog on Coq10, Black seed oil CBD oil, K2 +D3, or that she gets kefir as part of her diet. Everything I give her is natural and doesn't conflict with her medication, so I'm happy. By the way, black seed oil can lesson the effects of epilepsy and it's a good anti cancer, and once in their system, it's a natural way of preventing ticks from making your dog their host and passing on nasty infections such as limes disease it also boosts their immune system.

My Chihuahua mix, is about 8 years old and when younger was said she had luxating patella. No big problems till this week when she was running and her kneecap moved, ouch. She is still limping but doing better. I just rewatched your 2 of your video's, one on patella luxating and the other on making treat's with your "Dr. Jones Ultimate Canine health Formula". She is a very picky eater and since I feed her meat and veggies and organ meat, when I tried to add it to her food she would not touch her food. So, today I will be making her your treat recipe. Our dog was never sick. One day he wasn't himself. We took him to an emergency vet and we lost him that evening. He was a lab. 10 years old and it was described as the hemangioma sarcoma.
I had the same thing happen with my 9 year old Border Collie on a Friday afternoon. My dogs always seem to have a health crisis on Fridays making for scary weekends. I was in the process of selling my condo and buying another and 2 days before closing she wasn’t eating or drinking. A little after noon, she was close to collapsing. It was hemangia sarcoma. She was bleeding into her abdomen. We didn’t think she’d make the night but I wanted to wait and took her home. Our wonderful veterinarian got on the phone and searched within 100 miles of us to get an ancient Chinese medicine to stop bleeding. She finally found some at a pet hospital an hour away and sent one of her techs to pick it up and deliver it to us immediately. That was almost 4 years ago and I can’t remember the name of that med. my boy was diagnosed with diabetes last week , he's 10 years old , out of nowhere he started drinking water soooo much and peeing more than usual , all this happened in a week , took him to his vet , ran blood test , and it was diabetes 😐 I was shocked and really felt so bad like its the end of the world , is he going to be ok a million question in my head , he's on insulin now , I give him two shots a day , and the thirst and urination kind of less now , its been just few days on insulin so I hope things get better and .. have a normal long life like his parents , its crazy how the symptoms suddenly happened , he was sick for awhile the dr said cause diabetes doesn't just happen in a week 😐 his behavior and appetite didn't change at all , only the water consumption and peeing made me realize this is not right something is wrong and .. I hope for the best now .

Good that you caught it. There may be an adjustment period with the insulin to get it just right but hang in there. People go through the same thing and have trouble regulating it. I hope they told you that if he goes off his food you need to be aware that the same dose of insulin in those times could be bad. Just monitor him. If he is off his food (any food), call the vet to adjust the amount of insulin he gets.

One of my current Boxers girls had a MCT on her lower lip, removed and unfortunately high grade 2. She has been on plethora of supplements, Joe Tippens protocol, twice weekly ozone therapy and once weekly acupuncture. She has dental surgery this morning to check a few spots that might be suspicious - hoping this is just old age and perhaps a tooth gone bad. Will know within a week or two. What would cause sudden seizures? Our 14 years old puggle healthy, lots of energy. One day 2 weeks ago my daughter took her over to the neighbors to visit her dog friend and hang out while we went for a dr app. My daughter called me and upset that bella cant seem to move. She just stood there like she was frozen. She finally snapped out of it, so we thought we would take her over to get checked when we got home, but left bella with my other daughter to watch. She called me in the middle of the app and said bella had just flopped over, stretched her legs out stiff and put her head back. We rushed home and $600 later that we couldn't afford they they put her on seizure meds and sent her home. She was all wobbly the next few days. she had to be helped to stand up and held up to go to the bathroom. Over the next couple days she seemed to get some energy back. Then sat morn she had 2 seizures first thing in the morn. And started going down hill. We thought for sure she was going to pass that day.We all took turns laying on a blanket in some shade outside. I lost count how many more she had. I could see them start, her belly would get tense. Then she started throwing up. She had been drink8ng alot of water but not really hungry. Of course our vet was closed. The other one i called would not even give advice and would not see her at they closed in an hour. So much for caring for animals in an emergency. I told them thanks for the cruelty and hung up. We used gravol on her after watching a vid here and talking to a vet tech my daughter knew. That did stop the vomiting. Then she perked up a bit and she ate a chicken hotdog. Was the only thing she did not turn her face from. And still very thirsty, but we did not let her drink too much after that so she did not throw it up. The next morn she threw up undigested hotdog.
So we had to try something else. chicken sandwich meat seemed to work. Then some boiled hamburger. She turned down the nice steak puree, She is still with us but she has not been the same. Its like she is drunk. No more seizures in a week, knock on wood and she's keeping home made food down mostly.
She is just not bella anymore. Its like age smacked her over night. And the vet has no clue what caused the seizures, that would take more tests and thousands we do not have. Not to put all vets down but most these days are nothing but greedy. If you do not have the money, your pet dies an excruciating death or suffers needlessly. Why do animals not have the same right to medical care? People should pay by what they can afford. They would still make tons of money.There would be more pets in shelters with a home and not being put to sleep. People would adopt more, but don't because they cant afford a vet, should anything happen. That is not right in anyway. Someone needs to do something. And they add things on you do not even really need. Things that would cost them pennies are hundreds to us. They did the same thing to me with my pet rabbit. I was getting ready to leave to go get my 78 year old mom in another province, who was abandoned by family in the local hospital. Its took me 4 months to come up with the money and waited for my taxes. I told them i could only afford $200 or i would go without eating for a few days. They charged me $300 and sent me home with stuff i never used. He did not even need to go. He had stopped pooping and thats not good for bunnies. But the trip over to the vet got him pooping again. I was sick and angry when i left.

These large dogs that are always panting, need to be on cooling meats cooling diet! Instead of lamb, chicken or a kibble diet, feed raw cooling meats such as duck ! I love yogurt and a smash bananna for dessert add pumpkin and you can even freeze it as ice cream. Google cooling meats and foods. My golden retriever lived to be 16!
