"Just needs a carb clean" every one selling a bike ever
While that statement is nearly always true, it is deceptively optimistic.
There's an adjustmentscrew on the back of the horn. Fasten or loosen it until it makes the right horn noise
Just a small correction for you. When the solenioid is energized, its contacts close. If the contacts are stuck open, as you guessed, power would not flow through the solenoid's contacts to the starter motor.
I love turbo everything, especially from the 1980's!
New project! LET'S GOOOOO!!!
Forty years ago. Nineteen and Eighty Three, the year I married my still beautiful as ever sweetheart.
This bike is indeed "GOLD" dude...I mean Guy.🏁 Looking forward to seeing and hearing this bike on the road.
The sounds of the turbo spooling up and the wastegate opening, along with the exaggerated acceleration! YES
new bikes! love it! great video
That's awesome man, can't wait to see it finished.
Go original!.. Looks like a great surviver!. 👍😃
really interesting project there 👍, Personally, I think it would look good in dark metallic blue.
Keep the yellow! Maybe it dont look as good in person but i love the black n yellow.
This gonna be a lil different. Looking forward to watching this refurb.
Servus!!!
Looking forward to seeing that machine running!!!
Regards from Germany!!
Bravo! Great start up and a yamaha no less!
Pittsburgh traffic lol. Ever been to Toronto? Keep up the great work Mason. Cheers from 🇨🇦
Good work.
Dont remember them coming out in "minion" yellow, please no hacking and brating. GL with project.
Mason this one will be interesting a modern bike (well pretty modern for your channel) can’t wait to watch this build…
Excited for this build. I have an '86 currently needing put back together over here in Akron, Ohio-- not far from ya!
Really big inspiration to get mine that I paid 400 bucks going! I cannot wait.. thanks for uploading these vids
Don't change the color, you are Gold Guy after all.
A really awesome bike. Hope you will try and make it a survivor rebuild 😁 maybe try electrolysis for cleaning the rust in the tank
this is giving such mad Vice Grip Garage channel vibes!!!
That styling is so 80s. At the time the XJ wasn't considered the best of the turbo bikes. That went to the Kawasaki gpz750 turbo but it's going to be an interesting project. A word of caution. I've seen two of your fellow you tubers that have set fire to their bikes with sketchy fuel filling and sparks. One bike was burnt out! Keep it safe.
I’d be seriously considering a fuel injection conversion if that was mine
Congo bro ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
ever heard of cab clean ? make sure you get the flammable type
👍👍👍
yeah keep it yellow!
I hate to tell you but if I am not mistaken those carbs are made of pot metal and are very hard to weld
Wow in europe this bike is special and not to find😅😎
I have tbree of them 😅
