I have been really enjoying the way you are approaching the collection and I am really looking forward to seeing more! Fortunately there are many more yet to go! :D
UFO 50 has a bunch of brilliant games that have great risk-reward mechanics, and this one is one of them, but damn I am bad at it. Haven't yet completed it, and if optional challenge is just surviving more waves, doubt I will.
I've been really into a co-op, tabletop tactical RPG series for a while now, so I'm really fond of anything similar. So, I think I'll really enjoy Bug Hunter. I think I noticed a lot of tactical and strategic possibilities, but I won't tell you the specifics of what I'd do. I wanna see how your playstyle develops. I find it funny you defaulted to deckbuilding logic. Heheh. Though, it's understandable, with all the indie games like that.
I have written and re-written this comment, I am not trying to backseat or spoil things. From watching some others play this collection, I have seen people get caught out by a particular game later on. I won't mention which game that is, unless you ask, nor will I mention it again in the comments. I will mention what caught them out just below this, and will write something beyond that too, just in case. It uses real world clock mechanics, so they start it, play for a few minutes and then have to leave and come back to it later. I have been really enjoying the way you are approaching the collection and I am really looking forward to seeing more! Thanks!
I've been debating whether to write this myself, but I feel like it can easily be started at like 40. There are, at least so far seemingly two big chokepoints where you do have to idle in other games: first to grind up resourse #2, then to grind up the rest. Considering this is a Let's Play with (so far) daily episodes, I feel like even if it were started chronologically, we wouldn't lose much since you can just keep the game running for a few hours to grind them until the next ep
@@BigSimple Ah! That's the game I was alluding to in my other comment here. Maybe you figured it out already. Bug Hunter particularly reminds me of a survival and 'kill all enemies' scenario we did last session, in which stuff would rain down on our heads. I won't elaborate further, of course. My friends were convinced that we were screwed and would have to replay it, only for us to just barely beat it first try. It was great. Only issue is how close we cut it, specifically because of terrible attack modifier deck luck. One of us got 6 nulls and no x2's. Since we're planning to replay the campaign on a higher difficulty in the future, or maybe even with permanent death, I can't help but question that part of the game's randomness. Still love it otherwise though. Btw, let me know if my comments are ever too much. I can discharge countless paragraphs if I don't watch myself.
I love/hate frosthaven, particularly the downtime between scenarios, but the feeling of "we're for sure going to lose oh look we won" is something i'm actually not a huge fan of, but I understand the appeal. playing that game with permadeath is INSANE
@@BigSimple Yeah, I'm still questioning if it's a good idea. I do think the way permadeath is handled is fairly interesting, but it's going to really emphasize when the game screws us over. It'll stall campaign progression whenever someone dies. I've grown to like high stakes, but only when something is fair and consistent, hence my hesitation.

I do enjoy this game, even if it is difficult.
Has those "Into the Breach" vibes.

Alright that is actually good to know, let me know the name if you like and I'll start that one a little early so I can periodically make progress
@@BigSimple Sure, it's number 44, in the bottom row, called Pilot Quest.
Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks for this series!
