I think you won’t have seen my next comment/reply so this may be a duplicate. I’m having trouble with the Raymarine Axiom recognizing the Navionics card so thought the sharing idea was great. I guess I’ll try the setup as you describe and it’ll either work with the current Navionics card or it won’t. Not keen to spend $200 on a new card if I can help it. Thank you again. Fingers crossed.
Have you used there chart installer first ??? You can’t just put a blank card in your chart plotter. You can download the chart installer from navionics. You have to have a subscription, as the sync is part of the perks of the subscription
I assume you need a navionics card in the plotter to begin with. Please confirm. Could it be any card from navionics to be used all around the world with route updates from boating app? So no need to acquire cards for every region?
I don’t think you can do that, it’s only available on your charplotter. I use an app on my phone called Anchor Alarm which is much better than the anchor watch on the raymarine. It allows you to move the anchor point so you don’t get any false alarms
We are actually looking at making several changes during our visit home. I personally love the song and some of the video that Stephen chose for the intro, but we both agree that it needs updating and shortened. At the moment we are at church camp with our kids, the next few weeks are going to be focused on trying to make the money that we need for boat repairs, but we are definitely working some changes into the videos as well. It’s a slow process though
I have a Navionics card but this is the first year (after 4 successful years)that the Axiom doesn’t recognize it. I have a current subscription on my IPad for Navionics charts. I did read about updating the card on my computer. So many things to try and in what order. The Axiom sees the Navionics chart when I bring up settings but when I start the plotter, it says it can’t find the Navionics card. I have updated the Axiom Lighthouse software and I have backed up my data but maybe I corrupted the Navionics card? I’ve been corresponding with Raymarine support. Information overload.

Do you have to manually import the routes and such? I was hoping that when it syncs all the routes are automatically in sync between the iPad at the axiom .
@@SVFresh2Salty I want to mount it on a swing arm so I can view it from the cockpit in my companionway and then be able to swing it inside. I'm not sure about the placement and how to run all the cables, would you have a video on that?
I don’t need to see an intro before I get to the meat of the subject…. It’s just a family video not Netflix…. That was two minutes of utter time wasting, learn from it

Normally far better in real life - unless I’m on the receiving end of IRPCS failures on my local water. Anyway thanks for the video, I’m about to upgrade my Navionics on the PC then when I put it back in the plotter I’m going to try and link my phone to it. I will be watching you. @@PhilbyFavourites thanks phil good luck with the upgrade. What chart plotter do you have ? Our Axiom 7 plotter takes longer to boot with Lighthouse 4 where as our Axiom 9 Pro is ok with it.

I. have openCPN on my iPad, can I import Raymarine radar onto the iPad?
I have no idea. I have never used OpenCPN. I would assume you would have to have some way to wifi into it or network your iPad to it

Yes you do, it just places them in the archive folder. There is no automatic sync

No we don’t have a video on that. ours is mounted on a pedestal . We then have another one at the nav station.

I have only ever tried it with a IPad, so I can’t be certain but I would expect an Amazon fire tablet to work
