When I heard "Hard to Handle" for the first time in 1990, I ran right out and bought The Black Crowes' debut album "Shake Your Money Maker". It didn't disappoint, and I wore it out. This song was also on that album, as was "She Talks to Angels", which you've already reacted to. You really need to do "Jealous Again", also off that album. Other great tracks off subsequent albums include "Thorn in My Pride", "Sting Me", "Hotel Illness", and "Good Friday". Can't go wrong with this band. While I'm at it, I'd like to recommend another band with a similar vibe that I think you will love, that being Candlebox. "Far Behind" would be a great place to start.

Covers are rarely better than the original but Black Crows improved on Otis Redding's Hard to Handle.

I wore out the Candlebox CD too. "Far Behind" and "You".

Speaking of "rabbits"...saw the Black Crowes years ago with Planet Drum, Ratdog and Arlo Guthrie. Every artist joined the others in stage at various points. But the highlight was when one of the Crowes backup singers sang "White Rabbit" and obliterated the crowd 😱

"The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" is one of those rare albums where you can put it on and just hit play. Every song is a banger. From "Sting Me" to "Sometimes Salvation" through "My Morning Song" and finishing with "Time Will Tell." Every. Single. One.

I just saw these guys in concert in South Florida 2 weeks ago. They still kick ass. One reason Chris can probably still sing very well at age 55 is because the two brothers (Chris the singer, Rich the guitarist) were always fighting and the band was broken up for years. Probably saved his voice. Was a great concert. They are a band where, even if you don't know the words or the songs, the music and vibe is just great that it doesn't matter, you are still having fun and enjoying it.

Aaaah. The first track off of the first album. "Shake Your Money Maker" was my soundtrack to the summer of 1990. Please check out "Jealous Again" next. It was the first song I ever heard from them, and I swear, the first time I heard it, during the spring semester of my freshman year in college, I thought The Faces (Rod Stewart's old band) had gotten back together. "Sister Luck," "High Head Blues," and "Sting Me" are great ones also, but there are so many.

The first time I ever heard this song was in 1984 in Navy boot camp when my company Commander was cycling us, but we were lucky enough to have company Commanders , which are the equivalent of drill sergeants in the navy, who would actually be cool enough to play music whenever they made us exercise a lot. To complete your Black Crowes quadrology you absolutely have to do a reaction to "Hard to Handle". That song will blow your mind and was probably their second highest chart-topping single

The entire debut record by the Black Crowes "Shake Your Money Maker" is killer. So many hits. They were truly the shot in the Arm to Southern Rock and Rock that was needed at the time they came out Rockin in the latter 80's. Can't go wrong with this recording or many that followed that had this edge and sound. Many here have mentioned other tunes to check out.

The Black Crowes are a great band. I saw them in concert with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. They did mostly Zep songs and it was outstanding.

Thorn in my Pride and Jealous Again need to be your next ones by The Black Crowes. I’m so lucky to have seen them live in concert and I can tell you that the entire band is even better live ❤

Man I grew up on Black Crows. I dated a girl I'm highschool and her dad had a cover band that did a lot of their songs and Lynard Skynard as well. This song is my favorite by them and She Talks to Angels is so good too.

The drummer - Steve Gorman - has a nightly radio show , I think hes still on , has some great stories. I used to work that shift , listened to him every nite

Hands down best band to come out of the 90’s. Literally every song on their first two albums are awesome, and many, many more great tunes after that. Keep coming back to these guys and you won’t be disappointed- promise!

They just got a great review for their show at the new Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama. Drivin' n' Cryin' opened for them. Good to know the brothers from Atlanta are reunited and touring again.

Thank you for the video. I read through a few of the comments; I am very pleased to see others requesting 'Seeing Things.' It is a great song.

I didn’t appreciate this band when I first heard them in the late 80’s. Now I realize their greatness. I love that bluesy southern sound, and I’m mesmerized by the lead singers dance moves. He’s definitely like a Steven Tyler. I think I heard him say he’s influenced by James Brown.

One of the better bands to come out in the late 80’s / 90’s, he reminds me of a young jagger✌️
