This song was most people's exposure to the Black Crowes - and it was a doozy. I ran right out and got the CD. Jay, the killer piano work should be right down your alley.
Georgia Satellites "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" is a song with similar vibes to this one. I think you both will really like its catchy and funny lyrics!
“Hey little thing let me light your candle ‘cuz momma, I’m sure hard to handle now yes I am”. Y’all are great. I agree with previous comments that “She Talks to Angels” is a great one for you. Great vocals and a guaranteed “Amber sway”.
All depends on where you find the lyrics. I found these ones. LOL "Hey little thing, let me light your candle 'Cause, mama, I'm sure hard to handle now, gets around".
Do jealous Again by The Black Crowes please! You'll like that one too. Chris Robinson is the lead singer. His brother Rich is the guitarist with the blonde hair. They are so talented!
These guys are legit. I caught them live about 10 years ago in southeastern Texas. They played a no-frills show on a wooden stage on a dusty horse race-track and it was honestly easily one of the top 5 concerts I've been to in my whole life. They just played their butts off and absolutely killed it.
Fyi this was a Otis reading song that black crows covered. A song I was originally introduced to through the grateful dead. Theories version does have the horns that y'all love so much though, just saying. Maybe if you got a buddy doing shirts y'all should do a few limited Additions.

Looove. I saw them on their shake your money maker tour their first album when they were opening for ZZ Top and it was such a fantastic show the two of them together
Chris Robinson Brotherhood is his current band. They play with the greatests. 🖤 FYI This is a much covered cover. The original is from Otis Redding I believe.
Yesssss!!! Please do more Black Crowes!!! She talks to angels, Twice as hard, Seeing things, Jealous again, Sister luck, Could I have been so blind... all so good!!
Written and recorded by legend Otis Redding in 1967. Revived by the Black Crowes in 1990 and turned into a monster hit. These guys bucked the trend of rock music in the 90's and were well-respected.
Ron "Pigpen" McKernan sang this frequently in his days with the Grateful Dead. In fact Pigpen's stylings may have influenced Chris more than Otis Redding. The Black Crowes were big fans of the Dead.

@@module79l28 ummm... I know that. It's an Otis Redding song, but Black Crows did a variation of the Greatful Dead version... but this is the most famous version of them all.
I’m with everyone else with She Talks to Angels is such a beautiful and touching song. A lot of their songs are so great but that song touches me on a lyrical level. Like Elton John singing Tiny a Dancer, it’s almost a religious experience for me. Don’t know why, just know how it touches me
Amber, you would really appreciate the version of this by 13 year old Courtney Hadwin on America's Got Talent(2018). She definitely has an inner Janis and felt that music flowing through her.
This was actually written by Otis Redding. :) It's been covered by a few bands, including the Grateful Dead, though this is undoubtedly the most famous cover. So glad you guys like it!

@@oldtimer7635 Very nice! Something new for me. Just checked it out (th-cam.com/video/2liHY3uVyNY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=b9QTl3V_Yjz0DBd6). To be clear, though, by "most famous" I mean "most airplay", "most recordings sold", etc. (Not at all a commentary on "quality".). I don't know for sure, of course, but I strongly suspect the Black Crowes version has been heard by more folks. I attended a New Years Eve concert as we moved from 2019 to 2020. Right after the the midnight champaign bottle's cork popped, the lead singer announced they had one more song to perform and brought the new year (2020) in with "Hard to Handle". As the band was announcing their next NYE concert, I jokingly requested to the singer that they NOT start another year with "Hard to Handle". :). (I think 2020 was the hardest year to handle, at least in my lifetime so far.)

I'm in agreement with the others " She talks with Angels " is a must hear song 👍✌️♥️
yes she talks to angels is my fav by them and its slower
Sister Luck is their best song.
She Talks to Angels ❤️
I'll second that, eh.
They've already done Talks To Angels. Thats why in the beginning Jordan thought it might be slower like that song is.
This is a great Otis Redding song. You should really check out his (original) version. The horn work is punchy and pretty sublime.
Otis was awesome. This is a great cover but it's a shame people don't know he did it first.
