I agree don't ever apologize for that it's a beautiful car man. If you're a Corvette owner your Corvette and we're lucky and fortunate to have on Corvettes so don't ever apologize for something like that it's a beautiful car man
95% of everything you mentioned you had to fix in both of your Vette vids I had to fix as well over the last 2 yrs. Still worth it!! My new Cipher seats are sitting in the garage waiting for me to out in. They're designed very similarly to yours but tan.
Nice C5! Almost same as my 01 MY coupe. I have most of the problems you have and fixed most of them. Couple things that I also experienced that may help someone else: if you have some weird electrical problems, you may want to clean the ignition switch, normally the contact point is all burned. Cleaned mine an solved a lot problems. Another thing is window regulator. If the window make grinding noise, it’s time to replace it. And then the infamous dead HVAC display, hazard light switch etc. all minor issues, but pretty annoying sometimes. Thanks to GM quality in 2000’s
Thank you. Yeah they are definitely annoying, not experienced these many in another car before. I do have electrical problems with this (trunk not opening, hvac blower fan stopped working, and few more) i will clean the ignition switch. I did get the hazard and turn signal issue fixed as it was a safety hazard.
It's a beautiful corvette and I am glad you stayed with the black rims I can't believe you don't have heads up in your car, I did not see that last time you posted, great car 👍
Love my 01 yellow targa. people may hate on corvettes/corvette owners on the internet, but it turns the heads of every Lamborghini and Ferrari owner when I drive by.
I still say the C5 is one of the nicest looking Corvettes ever and I'm a big fan of the hidden headlights I think that's where that hurts the latest Corvettes it just you think of Corvettes you think of the hidden headlights it's sad that they don't have them anymore that's the mistake that Chevrolet has made. Heiden headlights in the new vets I think they would look awesome with hidden headlights
@@Thatisapiceofshit You are welcome. My seats are still great. They are the sport seats with the lumbar and side bolster adjustments. I watched Ant on Wheeler Dealers fix a rocking seat and decided to tackle it myself. I have a black '99.. It only has 20,000 miles.
@@jimstrawder2063 Thats great! There nothing better than OEM part. Yes, I saw that Wheeler Dealer episode but my motors were dead too so I decided to go with aftermarket ones. Your car is practically brand new!
if these cars are taken care of they can go so far. That one you referred to has over 700,000 miles and I believe he just replaced the transmission once. so couple thousand repair to push it that far is insane. Also. I love the color of yours.
Loved the opening disclaimer brother! That shit was funny. You can totally do the oil pressure sending unit yourself. It's just a question of how patient you are and how small are your hands? If you have small hands and the right tools it can be done without removing the plennum. If you don't have small hands, the plennum removal is the way to go. I've done it by remmoving the plennum but no longer have patience. So it's been pegged at 80psi in my '99 for many years.. If your headlights are flipping up then going down it's usually just the white rubber bump stop on the light housing. Take the old ones and flip them around. So warn side is opposite the stop. Will fix that issue for $0 and 20 minutes of time.
@@Thatisapiceofshit I hear you. It can be concerning if you go the "easy route" and it's anything but. There are guys that are doing it without taking the plennum off. You just need the right tools and small hands. I have the tools (not the small hands). I just bought the sensor relocation kit off of Amazon of all places for like $80 I think. Going to do it one more time and install the kit. Noting to worry about ever again. When the sensor craps out its an easy swap.
@@Thatisapiceofshit as luck would have it... They are out of stock on Amazon. Included the link anyway. Ecklers and WCC sell the "kit" but their prices are highway robbery. Thank you. Yellow is fine but too flashy. I wanted to get one in grey but they are really hard to find as they were only made for 2003 -04 (correct me if I am wrong). If I have the liberty to pick any color, I will definitely go for grey.

Oil pressure sensor is no big deal. It's showing a false reading on the gauge but the actual oil pressure should be in normal range. The ECMB module is another story. 97-00 model years got a crappy unit that is basically non-repairable. They cost almost 2 grand for a used one with a 30 day warranty. 01-04 got a much better unit that can be repaired for a few hundred bucks. The good news is you don't need traction control or ABS to enjoy the car, you just need to be more careful.

i had a 2000 mill yellow for 4 years bad mafa! only problem i had was i had to by fun flats every6 months
