@@Xannijuiceyou 100% want to do it regardless because they all fail and when they do it locks your steering wheel and you’re up sh!t’s creek. I’ve seen it happen to dudes at the track, in random places on road trips etc. I got super lucky and mine happened in my garage the day after I got back from a 1500 mile road trip. It will happen. It’s litterally like 50 bucks and a half hour to just do it
Bando Belts, Pulley Bearings, Fluidampr Balancer, Metal Power Steering Pulley, and ABS Fix were all early on fixes. Rebuilding my steering rack helped a ton. Changing the axle and diff housing seals fixed my leaky butt, but i had to change my diff clutches and washers to C6Z T56 ones. Then the normal stuff like fixing the grounds, the clutch fluid, the column bypass, the intake manifold got pulled for a 4 corner steam port mod while doing the oil sender relocation and knock sensors. Its wild how simple it has all been too. For a LS6 witb just headers, flip tie, rebuilt oversized injectors, and a ported intake manifold its mananging 396whp/372wtq too!
it took 3 different AutoZone remanufactured alternators before my car wouldn't constantly throw codes. its fine now but i wish i just coughed up the $$$ and got the acdelco one.
I would mention cleaning all the grounds. I cleaned them, reconnected added a little dielectric grease, added silicone caps over them with a little butyl tape :-) no water should ever hit those again.
@ if it’s truly 80 psi when warm, you may want to dig into that. My c6 had 80ish when it was cold but dropped to 40-5 when warm. If it stays there, that doesn’t seem right unless you have some upgraded oil pump
Bout the vette, 2002, I can't pull down the visor, it's stuck upward, will not let me pull it down, don't want to yank on it and break it, so I have sun visor I can't use
Interesting to know. Would have to look at whether you can switch from one to the other. I know some “dots” can’t be mixed or contaminated with the other.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Yes, I think you’re right, the brakes would need to be bled to flush it all through. FYI, Motul 5.1 dry boil, 516f, Amsoil racing dry boil, 580f. Motul wet boil, 369f, Amsoil racing wet boil, 410f.
Thing to look for is to replace the headlight motor gear with metal instead of plastic and remember you can still open and close them manually
In my part 2 video 😉
thank you mac demarco 🙏
Never heard of her

was about to comment this
Also column security bypass, a must do
Don't spoil part two lol
I wouldn't if its not going out

The boot you made looks excellent!
I've done everything on your list my first year of owning a c5. Plus at least 10 other items I think I got this thing nailed down
Never ends!
@@SpeedCultureStudios yep this weekend replace rad supports and fab custom rub wheels
Awesome! Looking to buy a C5 soon!
Do it!
Torque tube. The bearings wear out, especially if you have aggressive lumpy camshaft.

for sure
U forgot harmonic balancer. Replaced mine with fluidampr , katech tension pulley, sac city big 3 kit. Totally changed how car ran .
Didn’t forget 😉 Part two scheduled for this week!
C'mon! Fix that 80 PSI oil pressure. That drove me nuts in my 2003 C5. I replaced the sending unit - including an extender hose to re-locate it.
Was planning a cam install so no need to dig into it only to pull everything apart again. Check out my more recent videos 😉
@@SpeedCultureStudios Makes sense. Although it was a royal pain in the butt, I did the two hour job (twice) without cutting or removing anything.
@ I’m not sure I could get my arm past the intake manifold, but that’s how I would have tried it first myself.
Is 80 psi bad?

Would love to see that shift boot being sold!
I need to make a website!

I just looked it up and Amsoil’s Dot 4 racing brake fluid has quite a bit higher wet and dry boiling point than Motul’s 5.1

curious if you've tried the Sparco R100 in the background for the Corvette?
Not yet
@@SpeedCultureStudios really curious what they look like in there. I’ve got a vette considering the same seat! There’s hardly any info on them in a C5
Are there bearings in the pulley of the alternator? I think he’s mistaken. The bearing should be on the shaft coming out of the alternator.
No not in the pulley itself, just part of the spinning assembly. You can see it if you watch an alternator rebuild.
Prepare ?
That doesn’t match repair-see what I did there??
@@SpeedCultureStudios I’m sorry no

The visor will not pivot from up to down, so it's useless
What do you mean up o down?
I'd buy a boot from ya 😉
Awesome! That may be a possibility in the very near future.
Repair credit card for sure
