this is actually a great tip. I'm playing Bane and getting a max roll T2 dot multi fracture is pretty cheap. This will give me a solid way to upgrade the wand I've got.
I used this today, locked in my prefixes, then did a veiled chaos orb and got attributes and crit chance. Then I exalt slammed and got T1 CRIT MULTI. Excellent guide, running Palsteron's version of the build but this craft was a GODSEND.
this is just a uniqueness to chaos spell skills, other skills pretty much require a fracture because the cost to naturally roll a +2 is abysmally expensive

I'm also playing Hexblast mines, and you've given me some cool tips :D Here's some other things that might be worth checking out: Change the mine mastery that makes mines damage immune. They are already immune for 2 seconds, which is plenty of time to detonate. Anomalous trap and mine damage is crazy. Reduced mana cost *and* reservation. Elemental equilibrium and some source of added cold/fire should give you 25% exposure instead of hydrosphere's 10%. Could get it on a stabilising sceptre?
The alt quality trap and mine is great tip, going to swap that for awakened added chaos I think. EE was planning to grab that through the new sanctified relic currency when it gets added(probably will be after I finish build though tbh). as for mine immune, might be worth but not sure, I like them not getting deleted randomly for QoL

I would not, I dont use molten shell in my build to begin as its fairly weak without armour scaling, but immortal call when our endurance charge gen is fairly slow wouldn't necessarilly be great either imo itd be better just to stay stable at 3 endurance charges
Edit: I've now used 27 crafts, with zero results :( Am I the unluckiest person in PoE? So far I've used 17 of these crafts, i've seen a +1 skills once, and nothing the rest of the time :( This is my second time really crafting something in this game, my first time in like 6 leagues, because I spent 7 exalts trying to craft this vaal regalia one league, when I could've just bought one for 4. It soured me so hard on crafting, and this experience isn't really changing my mind lol. I do appreciate the explanation and video though!
keep in mind the craft is a 1/12 on "average" for the +2, that being said you should be seeing +1 of chaos or all spell more often. Just to make sure the ilvl of wand is atleast lvl55 and 82 or below, if its below 55 it can't roll +1 all, and if its above 82, a chaos flat mod bricks the odds.

New player here. Im currently playing Hexblast at level 73. Isn't the +1 gems prefixes irrelevant on the wand if we gonna 6 socket the hexblast in the chest? Or is it just the pure spell damage max roll we are looking for?
well.... the plan is solid - except if you're rolling your prefixes like me... I just spent 4 divines on fossils and resonators and didn't hit those two prefixes once. -.-

fracture the +1 cold and use the same combo, wiping and multimodding the suffixes probably the best value option when you hit spelldmg and +1 spells. If you get 1 suffix you like you can try prefix can't be changed and Aisling gamble.
found a fractured base with tier 1 crit chance but its ilvl 85 so I used 4 socket resonators and added aetheric. Hit tier 1 crit chance for spells. My spell damage roll is garbage tho.
Alt Roll for plus 1 all spells and two suffixes lock prefixes and Augment chaos from havrest to guarantee plus 1 all chaos. Then try and work on suffixes and hopefully if last prefix doesn’t fill you can craft life.
I have no idea. probably could be made to do so but I generally don't want to provide advice for HC being a SC player myself it is not my area of expertise
The only problem with this method is that there is 99.9% to fill 3 suffixes, i dont know why but when i craft this way back then it always cast/attack speed + something (Ofc spell damage is 100% prefix). Still better than anything, but anuling is dangerous and exhausting)
anul is 100% a planned as a portion of the craft, keep in mind the rarity of being able to force +2 levels onto a wand with relatively low cost, just taking a look at trying force +2 of other damage types you will be in the thousands of chaos in expense vs a 1/12 resonator which is extremely low cost by comparison
Same boat, going for 18, definitely NOT easy getting a decent roll. It's relatively easy getting the +2 perhaps, but with a decent spell power and maybe crit, idk how much I'd have to sink.

Comparison +2 fire wand expected cost via craftofexile = 69,000 chaos VS this +2 chaos craft which has expected cost on craftofexile as = 130 chaos. So yeah, easy is a good word for the power of the item we can create here with those mods and their weighting...

I feel like it’s just that you have to take it for what it is; last league I did an apothecary gamble in harvest and lost 4 cards but at the end of the day the risk vs reward is what makes this game so polarizing and inevitably plays into the dopamine way harder than more deterministic systems
@@jsing5022 No thats just bad design, a bit of RNG is fine or at least even massive rng can be cool when its unecessary like double corrupting altar, you want the very insane unecessary big juice then go for it and risk the poof. That fine that a thrill the game can give you and you CHOOSE to take, the problem is right now the game FORCE you to always be in a stats where its just anoying to have to gamble EVERYTHING with stupid absurd low odds, thats just poor game design made to artificaly boost the longevity of the game and make it "hard" for the elitism, where in reality its just tedious and dumb

It had been proven a lots of time that GGG are just stuborn and refuse to do some necessary change, they are just lucky that the game somehow managed to keep something unique that makes it what it is and can rely on those foundation. Also the game has been improved a lot over the year NOT by GGG but by the comunity itselft with feedback, thing that GGG tend to forget and piss on the exact same comunity

Late answer but the mod says +1 levels to ALL spells. Not just to gems socketed in the weapon. There are also mods that only affect socketed gems

Does anyone know what to do with open prefix and open suffix ? Craft double damage suffix and slam or increased damage prefix and leave it as it is?

you could have saved the want if u annuled another suffix, then crafted cannot roll attack mods and slamed aug chaos

for wand craft you just need to be ilvl 82 or lower, 83 will add flat chaos damage to attacks which bricks the crafting odds
