I've watched countless crafting and build guides, and I’m sure others have said this, but this one stands out as by far the best. Your presentation was clear, methodical, and practical, with a sequential flow that made the complex process of crafting feel approachable. You planned your script meticulously, paired it with excellent visuals and examples, and maintained an engaging pace throughout. Most other guides lose their focus or quality as they dive into the advanced crafting stages. For context, I have 500-1000 hours of gameplay experience, and like many others at this stage, I’m familiar with basic crafting mechanics-spamming Orb of Alteration is something we can all do endlessly. But when it comes to combining multiple crafting methods and systems, that’s where it becomes incredibly confusing. Your guide demystified that process, showing how we can craft nearly infinite combinations of affixes and, more importantly, using pragmatic, step-by-step examples. That brings me to a request: while this guide taught us how to craft, I think the next logical step would be a guide on what we should craft. Knowing the mechanics is great, but without a sense of direction, the knowledge can feel overwhelming. A video explaining how to determine what to craft, based on archetypes or playstyles, would be invaluable. For example, you could generalize around league starter archetypes (minions, totems, melee, etc.) or playstyle needs. This would help players like me who are nearing the “crafting breakthrough” point but lack the understanding of what stats we should prioritize on which items. For example, while it's obvious that movement speed should go on boots and HP/resistances are broadly useful, other affixes seem more situational or tailored to specific builds (e.g., +1 to skill gem levels on amulets or weapons). Additionally, knowing when certain crafts are appropriate-early game versus late game-would clarify a lot. Finally, I think a big pain point for many players like myself is getting to red maps and struggling to progress further. At this stage, we often hit a wall because we’re not sure how to craft our own upgrades. Frankly, we’re not even sure what improvements we need, let alone what to buy or how to craft them. It feels like a knowledge gap where we know the mechanics of crafting but lack the clarity to identify and execute the right upgrades for our builds. In short, a guide that bridges the gap between knowing how to craft and knowing what to craft and when would be a game-changer. Your ability to break down complex systems in such a digestible way gives me confidence that you could tackle this topic brilliantly. Thanks again for this amazing guide-it’s truly set the bar for Path of Exile crafting content. Tl;dr: Subbed.
Hands down the best guide ive seen re crafting for me, I love the visuals and the back-track and re-craft walk through if your next mod fails. You're doing God's work Exile, so much better than all the other crafting guides who just blitz click through 50 things and then go "see easy, cheap and here's your ideal item" new subscribers here.
I've been playing on and off since 2016, never really got into crafting and my builds and progress in end game showed that. This league I decided to change that and this video has helped me 1000%. I have trippled my sustained dps and x7 my burst dps, not only that but I also have 35k evasion and 22k armour. Creators like you are the reason I didn't give up on the complexity of PoE
really detailed and amazing guide. Been playing about 200 hrs recently and knew pretty much all of basic but didn't know how to advance further. The advanced section + all the crafting guide showcasing was really helpful info.
A thing that many guides don't put in is that if you put a Suffix can't be changed and roll it, you then lose the Suffix can't be changed. So if you roll it again it won't have Suffix can't be changed. So you would need to use Suffix can't be changed>roll on the item>suffix can't be changed>roll on the item, you would do this till you got what you were looking for.
I didn't expect the god chef Kay's Cooking in my crafting guide. Immediately subbed! Side note: Thank you for this guide, coming back into the league for 3.25 and it's nice to get a refresher! I always felt like I was never crafting to my fullest potential whenever playing past Kitava.
I've gotten to maps and have been inefficiently crafting semirandomly with hopes and dreams. This is exactly what I needed. Especially the step by step walkthrough for how to get your desired boots.
I appreciate the examples a lot too. As a new player its really difficult to understand how to do things . But seeing how important fractured mods are it would be great to include where ro find them since i needed to look up somewhere else and it was always the crafting step no.1
Fractured mods make stuff easier to craft, but also restricts you a lot. You cannot put influences on an item with Fractured mods, so if you want some influences on an item, you cannot use Fractured Items. They mostly just randomly drop here and there, and can be found in masses on the market. Hoping for a Fractured Mod in Solo-Self-Found is going to be nearly impossible
Would love to see more videos like this! I had been crafting some insane short bows but I usually start with essences. Would be even better to get a "fires additional projectile" fracture but those will set you back 2-3 div's. But I believe it was pretty easy to get +3 to skill gems total on the short bow! Question though with the amulet. If it rolls into fire res instead of damage can you just use harvest again to change the fire res into fire damage?
22:20 I don't understand what you mean by crafting "chance to avoid being chilled" to prevent that from appearing on the boots? I don't see that ever appearing on the boots so how are you stopping it from appearing?
Its a Veiled Mod, thats why we want to craft it onto the boots so it cannot appear during the "unveil at Jun". This mod can only appear as a Veiled mod, and thats probably why you dont usually see it appearing. If you check the available pool of mods from a Veiled Orb, you see that this stat has a high chance to appear, therefore we block it to not appear in our own unveil.
What I need is crafting strategy for when you have not much currency ( beginner coming into Maps) Unless the strategy is just "wait until you have enough currency" Like I would like to know the logical step in making the gear from a build come to life ? Should I add customized filter on top of current filter ? Should I reroll magic as much as possible and after that use an alch ? Like lol how does someone make the gear work when trying to follow a build.
For low lvl geting into maps best crafting would be trade your currency for better gear at the trade "bench", sometimes investing 1 chaos into every piece of gear can make a huge diference.
Wow I feel like a total noob watching this. Great video! A lot of items that made no sense in the auction house now make sense. This needs to be rewatched 2-3 times theres a lot of good stuff here.
Essences have different Ranks. The lower ranked Essences can only be used on Normal Items, while higher ranked Essences just state "reroll a rare item or upgrade a normal item to rare". So they do both later
@@ScruffyGG It gets better - just checked it and from what I can see even if it says it is used to upgrade normal to rare it still works on rare 🤪. I have over 700h hours in this game and I have no idea what is going on here. Crafting in this game is something else.
Each item can have 3 Prefixes and 3 Suffixes. They are achieved randomly on an item whenever its created/dropped or rerolled with like a chaos orb. Prefix and Suffix are just names of a 'category' for stats. You can obtain more prefixes or suffixes with something like an Exalted Orb, that adds a random stat on an item which could be a prefix or suffix
3.24...... cuz 3.25 is not out yet ...... and with the new taser there is rumors for some old leagues mechanics ..... and some involve other craft options, so this is not by far a full craft guide , but the examples are pretty useful anyways good clicbait
i wonder what scruffy has to say about crafting... scruffy: harvest the jews me: okay noted xd on a serius note tho this was verry helpfull to get prepared for boat league ty! edit: question these fractured mods, do they just drop randomly on items everywhere or is it also linked to a league mechanic?

Question though with the amulet. If it rolls into fire res instead of damage can you just use harvest again to change the fire res into fire damage?
Sure, aslong as the "reforge Fire" craft has not filled up all suffixes, you can just repeat with Prefixes cannot be changed -> Reforge
Everyone have fun in 3.25 - Settlers of Kalguur!
