The character from DIG DUG (His name is Taizo Hori, which is Japanese for "I Want to Dig") is canonically the father of the main character of the Mr. Driller series. That's pretty much the only lore the franchise has, and I'm glad they included that in this game by making Dig Dug guy a playable character.
Please please PLEASE give this game a chance when it comes out!! It's easily my favourite in the series, and just for its aesthetic alone, it's worth a shot :D
I’d want to see Klonoa, or Taizo Hori. There’s a realistic version of him from Namco x Capcom that would fit the game very well. Kinda makes him look like Captain Falcon with a big jackhammer like device on his back
@Shaman Xeed it's not really Engrish. There's only a couple parts that sound odd. It's mostly her accent that makes it sound off but she did a really good job
There's a button on the side of you're smart phone/tablet that controls the volume either higher or lower. If you're watching it on your computer there is a volume icon on the lower bar that controls high or low volume. If you're watching on your TV there is a thing called a remote control that controls the volume up or down as well. If you're watching it on your Nintendo switch on top of your device there's a button that controls the volume up or down. Any other future device has a volume feature that you have to look it's not hard to find and finally you're welcome.

Mr. Driller has been dormant for a while mate It's mostly because people in the US never game Susumu and fam a chance in years Nobody bought Drill Spirits (because Namco butchered the US version by removing Single Card Multiplayer, Usagi and the Moon stage) nor Mr. Driller Online, Drill 'Till You Drop or Mr. Driller W While people like you and i appreciate the IP, the rest of the US's closed minded gaming community typecasted the series as a "Tetris Clone" and never touched it
Mr. Driller 2 was one of my favourite games on the Gameboy Advance. Seeing it come to the Switch really brings back memories and drives me to pre puchase it. I missed Susumu, Anna and especially Puchi.

I remember when I got Mr. Driller Drill Spirits. That was my second Nintendo DS game. Mr. DRILLER DrillLand will be a great fit for the Switch.
