    @nbinienda 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I like your focus on detail in the comparison but the verdict is really strange, as you make comparison of 2 gimbals and with one brief sentence you recommend just a third one :) Having said that, I must say that I agree wit you in 100%. I got RSC2 back in January with combo package, it was my first gimbal so I went after all gadgets like RavenEye and follow focus motor. And they turned out to be of no use for me. The last 6 months I spent explaining on forums that people should rather invest into RS2 or just save money and go with plane RSC2. Just as you said, for me the most important difference between RS2 and RSC2 and availability of accessories e.g. side and back handles which also have control buttons, therefore allowing to seamlessly lock, switch to sport mode without holding the gimbal in the center. With RSC2 one can only use dummy handles.

    • @syharold
      @syharold 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can't you use the DJI switching handle on the RSC2? The one that switches from side to back?

    • @nbinienda
      @nbinienda 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@syharold yes you can, but on RS2 the nato connectors on the sides of the gimbal have electrical contacts allowing to expose buttons and joystick to external accessories. In that case you have a handle with buttons and the wheel allowing you to control modes from it. On RSC2 you can use external handles but never control the gimbals behavior with those. For example if you have 2 side handles, you will always need to reach to the center control panel on the gimbal to start/stop recording, switch to sport or lock mode.

    • @syharold
      @syharold 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nbinienda Ah I can live with that - thanks for answering. Its about 400 dollar difference for the RSC2 vs RS2 here in China, and I'm not a believer of future proofing, as I only have a 2 year old ronin S but going to upgrade this week. The Raveneye makes it easier with regards to not using the joystick button, why aren't you using it though, it seems clutch. As for the focus motor, its a must for me, as I need that for manual focus. But I do understand your point, where in you can probably mount a focus wheel on the RS2.

    • @nbinienda
      @nbinienda 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@syharold no problem, I am still happy with RSC2, just annoyed that I got into the commercial trap of raveneye etc ;) but who knows maybe one day I am going to use it :) from today’s perspective I would rather spend the money on bare rs2 than the combo package of rsc2. Good luck with your rsc2, I really like it and even though I am just a hobbyist I think it adds a lot of value to my home videos.

    • @syharold
      @syharold 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nbinienda hehe the manual focus thing is because I stuck with panasonic - if I had a sony, I probably won't need the manual focus as well. Got your point! Also am at a cross road on the two. I think the biggest selling point for me on the RSC2 is the "instant" vertical mode. The RS2's biggest selling for me are the locks, and the micro adjustment you can do on the gimbal.

  • @Prahphet
    @Prahphet 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Ended up grabbing the RSC 2 over the Weebill 2. It was a tough decision but you helped most in the end with speaking of the design flaw. I leaned toward the Weebill 2 mostly for the weight it could handle, but that design flaw makes it more difficult to handle wide cams like the 6k Pro. Though I had to add a counterbalance, I saved a bunch and love the DJI's build, quality, and format; worked out very well for me. Thanks for your help!

    Interesting video and no regrets that I went for the RSC2 a couple of months ago. I agree with your review, except for the following. RSC2 is just as easy to get into underslung mode. Just buy the smallrig or other brand back handle like I did as I didnt like the idea of using the hinge. I believe it was something you had recommended before. Secondly I dont know if a replaceable battery will make it last longer. Will it still be in production 5 to 6 years from now when it melts? Probably just the one used for the RSC5 which will run on a fuel cell instead.

    i bought the Weebill 2 but I still use the Weebill LAB now relegated to B-Cam duty. The LAB has built in image transmitter, something that they removed from the Weebill S. The one thing I really dislike about the Weebill 2 is the lack of a quick release. • @costinvaly1
      @costinvaly1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Replaceable battery isn't a selling point for me. I've wasted 700$ for a Moza Air 2 when it first came out and had the most horrible batteries one could buy as “spares” (the gimbal took 4 pieces simultaneously), even branded by Moza themselves but finding at least one battery dead in a brand new 4pack or dying on you mid-shooting only 2 weeks later after purchase, it almost felt like Moza was making more money off the scam batteries than the gimbal itself, I bet it was all a part of their “con” plan, rebranded batteries with a 60% chance to die in the first month from purchase and even 90% rate of DOA for at least one of the batteries, which would force pro users to buy them like hot bread (55$/pack) just to have the warranty that the gimbal won't embarrass them in the middle of a shooting. I'm traumatized. I moved to DJI specifically for a “non-removable” battery that I know I can trust since DJi is “Apple” in the gimbal world and they wouldn't afford a high percentage of battery unreliability, at least for the first 2 years.

      @@GreenDvL so on the rsc2 during weddings I was noticing the locking mechanism on the tilt axis was essentially loosing its grip. Like their locking mechanism is a poor design so it was starting to slip even while shooting. It's kind of a common problem on that gimbal. Other than that the battery life was phenomenal and it carried any weight I needed it to carry

    Hello
    I plan to buy a stabilizer for my Sony DSC RX 10 M4 camera. I do photography as a hobby, I don't have much knowledge about stabilizers. That's why I only saw today that most stabilizers are not compatible with my camera. I would ask you to give me advice on which stabilizer to buy, or maybe even make a video about that problem with the Sony camera and stabilizer. I specifically like the Dji RSC 2 pro combo and the Zhiyun Weebill 2 pro kit .... but unfortunately I don't know if either of those two combinations would work with my camera?
    I hope you will find some time to give me advice on what to buy. I look forward to your reply.
    Best regards from Germany

    Hi! I‘m shooting on my iPhone 11 Pro for now, but the Osmo Mobile isn‘t strong enough for when I attach a Moment Lens, counter-weights and an ext. microphone - „not strong“ meaning e.g. that it can‘t handle fast moves.
    So I was wondering if I can get the RSC2 to do the job that is to heavy for the small gimbals. Has anyone tried using that with a phone as camera?
    I know that only few RSC2 features will work in that setup, but I‘m referring to the stabilization only for now. Thx in advance!

    • @TranzendFilms

      you want to leave it on standard stabilization on, active mode will crop in and be even more stable if you really need it for certain situations.
