    Which one would you go for and why?

      I like the way the Weebills Underslung mode is a little better. I like having that extra grip handle on the bottom. Both look great though. I am still rocking Weebill S, a gimbal is a gimbal. Not many features to upgrade to. LOL Great video.

      I have the Weebill S and have no reason to upgrade but think the RS-2 is the better gimbal based on this, not even considering savings between the two. Underslung mode seems like the only drawback for me in comparison. Seems clunky for when you need to switch on the fly.

      I went for the WeeBill 2 SE (special edition comes with cloth case and two tripods/handle grips). Saved several hundred during the holiday sales.

      used RSC 2 and the build quality is really poor of the plates and screw holes. They keep on losing and making the camera to shift position which results in camera finally falling to either side of the arm it's sitting on (Note: The Ronin app shows excellent in all 3 axis when put to balance test). Really disappointed.

    I bought a gimbal for 2 reasons,
    1. Full Control - I tried both gimbals in a store and I found out that weebill 2 is much better in terms of control. The slung setup in weebill is precise in getting low-angle shots because of how you hold it, unlike the Ronin which my arms getting weary holding it because of how it was set up.
    2. Easy to use - Both are very easy to use but with that screen in weebill, I can navigate to the setting much more quickly because I am using 2 different setups and on weebill I can really see which settings I'm in.

    Left handed here! And definitely the RSC2 is more comfortable to use.

    Which is more beautiful? DJI
    Which brand is most loved? DJI
    Which gimbal is really the easiest and most practical to work with? Weebill 2!. That's it.

      @videozone092 Good choice. We have the Zhiyun Crane 3S and it has been a worthless vibrator since the purchase. We have already tried all upgrades, settings and balance. Finally, we were recently able to buy several DJI RSC2 with RavenEye cheaply and despite the maximum weight, they work to our full satisfaction. Zhiyun's support has let us down, which is why we will no longer purchase anything from this brand and will not advise our customers to do so either. This channel is particularly valuable with clear and honest information. The information that others think they should leave out, can be found here. Thank you very much for that.

    Little tip when balancing that I think you missed here - it helps to lock the pan and roll axis when doing the initial balance of the tilt, then unlock each axis as you balance them (if that makes sense?)
    I have the RSC2 and I've been loving it ever since I bought it a few months back - loved the look of the Weebil 2 initially, but after hearing a lot of feedback from users, it sounds like I made the right choice with DJI. But as everyone says - generally they all perform the same job very well.

    • @chrisbrockhurst
      @chrisbrockhurst  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      agreed that locking can make it easier but after you've balanced gimbals a ton of times I don't personally find it necessary. Love em for travelling though!

    We've only ever known and used DJI gimbals and we love them to death. We even did a video on how to balance the 6k Pro on the RS 2. But the Weebill isn't bad at all! Pretty nice gimbal honestly.

    i’ve been so conflicted about getting a gimbal. some people say “i got one and never use it” or others say “it’s a waste of money” etc etc. but i feel as if there are just certain shots out there that aren’t possible doing it handheld. like getting a sweeping shot around a subject, shots while on the move (running or in a moving vehicle), moving through a building very smoothly for real estate, etc. i also don’t know if spending the extra buck is worth it? like going for the ronin rs2 over the rsc2 :/ hmmm thoughts?

    • @chrisbrockhurst
      @chrisbrockhurst  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      gimbals have a time and place. Some shots are simply better looking with them but it entirely depends on the content your creating. In terms of RS2 or RSC2 it depends on the setup your using.. RSC2 will balance fairly heavy setups still

    • @yobs.
      @yobs. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisbrockhurst Thank you for replying! Noted. My setup is a Sony A7iii with at least a Sigma 24-70mm lens! I think the rsc2 should be able to handle that load fairly well.

    I own the RSC2 and enjoy it. Dont see the need for a screen either.
    What i dont like about it is using the hinge for briefcase mode but that is easily solved with a smallrig handle.
    I also dont like that I cant use raveneye as my a7c is lacking a multiport. Furthermore when connected through pc remote also eye AF doesnt work so I am not using the gimbal controls to operate the camera. Guess this is more a sony issue.
    With these limitations in mind it still allows me take a lot of great family videos even if I look geeky to other parents.

    There's an easier way to balance the pan axis btw. just hold the gimbal horizontal and then balance the arm parallel to the floor..

    Hey CB , I want to use a transparent overlay like you use in this video at 0:29 for your titles text to stand out on. Where do you get these overlays from? Or do you just make them in Ae? Also did you use a motion GFX template for your text, if so where do you get your templates from? Thx

    • @oo0Spyder0oo

      Just add a black matte and reduce its opacity right down with the text on top. Then either use a crop with key frames to make it slide out or simply keyframe it to move left, right etc off the screen.

    I've used the Weebill 2 a couple of times and the screen already is scratched from the poor design. Also right now you can't assign the record button only to start / stop record, it also autofocuses. Compared to weebill S, the fact that you can't switch between ap, iso and shutter with the big wheel, is a downer. Also it sucks if you're left handed and want to use the joystick compared to Weebill S. Not to mention it's not as smooth in following movements, it jumps easily regardless of deadband settings. Battery is not as advertised, while the Weebill S would last me 3 days of intermitent shooting, Weebill 2 is at 40-50% after 1-2 hours of shooting on and off.

    I own the Ronin S and it has no issues with heavy lenses, where it does have fits is when I use really light lenses. If I tune it, it does get better but it still shakes a little. Have you tried a really light lense on the DJI RSC 2?

    • @chrisbrockhurst

    Question from a newbie: Do you think the DJI RSC2 or RS2 combined with the Sony A7Siii could produce stabilized video similar to these hiking videos on youtube ( th-cam.com/video/OIQwYWRlXOY/w-d-xo.html ) ( th-cam.com/video/1aJ2NikmHnc/w-d-xo.html ) If so then can you please tell me how people hold a gimbal and camera for hours ? I guess I just need a little advice on how to make stabilized hiking videos. If you have any suggestions I would be grateful. Thank you.

    • @RajChavdaOne
      @RajChavdaOne 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      make sure you do shoulder, bicep, tricep, forearm, wrist weight lifting exercises to build up strength. Hold the gimbal close to the body as possible, that will reduce fatigue on your arms. You can hold with one arm, then switch hands. Doing all three should get you a great length of time.
