@@johnblack7554 Propane is hand down the most appeal choice for this specific environment, if you don't consider all the obvious dangers, of course. I'm very interested in the bamboozling process they put up to have customers agreed on that.
I can attest that Ron actually cares about what he does and is truly trying to help people. Good luck with that one, it looks to be a major overhaul. I have wondered over the years why people don't construct these as a standard basement, waterproof, weeping tile, drop mat, standard procedures, just thicker walls and deeper! Proper airflow will keep humidity down.
@@____________________________.x Ive tried calling Rising S for 2 years about my bunker, theyve taken my money and run. I called Atlas and the owner picked up and talked to me for 45 minutes, big difference there.
It's good to receive feedback, please remember I'm a diy guy and my quality is directly equal to the moneys I can throw at a project. So second best maybe all they could afford. Yes doesn't say much for quality for contractor, sorry to say some people have no pride or hearing their parents say. No matter the cost any job is worth doing well.
That’s incredible! I’m surprised that they are still actually in business with the way they sell, build, install and rip off customers. Thanks Ron for showing this video and giving us a “heads up” on this company and how they treat their customers! Cheers! 🍺🍺🍺
How has Rising S not been sued into oblivion yet? On the one hand yes you're competition, on the other as far as I can tell you aren't going out of your way to find one off bad cases, their stuff really is that garbage. You've shown time and again just what your stuff looks like and the care you take installing stuff. Sure it's not cheap, but you aren't a charity and quality costs. The stuff you build looks like it's worth the cost ( I can't afford it, I live in an apartment for a reason ) and is gonna last. Like how are they legally allowed to keep operating, are there not standards?
They might have something you have to sign that prevents you from suing them. Or it might be that their customers spent all their extra money buying their crappy bunkers and so can't afford to hire a decent lawyer, meanwhile the company, with the amount of money they charge per bunker vs the cost of making it, can.
People who don’t do basic research shouldn’t have to courts wiping their tears. It’s not like there are a lot of companies out there making these things
The fan used in the Rising S air system looks exactly like a bilge fan for a boat. It's used to vent the engine compartment before starting the boat. This is meant for short-term operation, 1 - 2 minutes not hours of running to provide air for a shelter. What a joke.
That bunker looks as though its been covered with Chinese "Tofu" Concrete. I've had a look at the Rising S website and you can see how their failures start in the factory, not just in the installation! To get a handle on that condensation you might have to fit an industrial/commercial sized dehumidifier like a BlueDri DH-76 Compact Commercial Dehumidifier or of similar size.
There has to be a class-action lawsuit against Rising S. Let it be known this is off the basis of how much protection in all aspects we're not put in, the concerns from it's customers, and the proof of its lack of quality from the third parties.
Could putting an above ground reinforced concrete vault be an option to put over the existing stairway so that there's something such as a side facing door? So that whoever enters has to go left or right to get to the stairs, making it harder gamma rays to get down there.
To be fair, it looks like the bunker isn't leaking water in at all. Just huge amounts of condensation inside, obviously from a totally crap ventilation system. I do also agree, the top layer of concreting is abysmal!
I've did concrete in my lifetime whatever and there's no way that my balls would hire me for doing a job that fucked up you would be fired on the spot for that shit😮
To spell out the Engineering issue with their fan. It’s a duct fan, the blades are designed for a “high flow rate” to provide basic ventilation in say a small bathroom. The blade design on NBC air filters is very different, they are intended to create a “high pressure flow”, thus forcing air through a filter medium. Ron should spell this out for people because it’s the entire reason why RS filters will fail the second they get any dust at all onto their filter. It’s kinda frustrating that basic engineering facts aren’t explained for people on videos like this, he could improve his sales a lot I think 😐
Can you live in an atlas shelter during a prolonged forest fire. If I have a house in the mountains and there is a forest fire can you live through the forest burning down above you in an atlas shelter? Like air wise and such?
How is that air system supposed to function in a disaster if it's on AC utility power? Do they even have a backup generator? Cause if not, a sine wave inverter or uninterruptible power supply would be needed.
You could not pay me to stay in that thing for 8 hours. I do not think it's safe in any way. I don't even see a smoke/carbon monoxide detector anywhere! Yikes.
The government let's them get away with this type of work. Back in the day they use to inspect everything that was built above an below the ground. It really looks like the times have really changed.
So is it leaking or bad ventilation and condensation issues? It is nice and large. Ya, too bad they don't do good work. That fan looks weaker then what most Nvidia cards have these days.
Yes there definitely are, but I think most are building in place with concrete. I've got one of my clients that has an amazing structure that was built by one of them. Full ventilation system, communications, back up power, perimiter intrusion detection, cameras, the whole 9 yards. The command room looks like something out of a movie...lol.
You need to walk away from this job. It’s like putting a tourniquet on a Papercut when there’s a giant hole in the patient’s chest and going out the back.
I suppose in the 1960s when the Cold War was going on, better designs than this were probably being built. There were standards, instructions, and now it's - I'll do cheap - count expensive.
knowing how bad of a company Rising is why does the customers not take them to court and get their money back from this shady company? They should be put out of business for knowingly harming people by making cheap stuff that can kill people.
First mistake I noticed righ away is PVC piping, 2nd mistake I noticed he didn't do research and hired Atlas survival shelter Company, this bunker looks like a death trap
wow being that I am a poor and "cannot" even afford a bunker. (which is my dream, to have a bunker as a home for y wife & I) I wouldn't take that Bunker if it were give to me! or at least not without being able remodel or refurbish it. (I'm not a fool (I think) but of course I would take it. just for the fact that I "could not" afford anything better.
Considering how expensive bunkers are in general, why would you give Rising S money to build complete garbage? You'd be better off burying old culvert and installing a decent air system.
How can a company do such bad work. But on top of it the have the crucifixes in their logo which I would assume to be self proclaimed Christian. Very sad
"Rising S" might refer to "Rising Star". If you look at the way their symbol is in this video, it's three crosses, but they're on an angle as if two of them are falling over, which comes off as mocking. The devil's name "Lucifer" means "The Rising Star". What are the devil and demons in general known for? Deals that cost you a LOT (if not everything) in return for nothing of any real value, and lies. Sounds like the Rising S company to me.
After posting these recent videos about this 💩💩💩 company, you might want to keep a security guard on the property and a really good security system. We all remember what happened before...🔥🔥🤦🏻😡
Placing batteries right under the kitchen sink is a very brave choice.
Rising S also use propane for cooking and heating water in bunkers
Just retarded. I don't have an engineering degree but even I know that you don't put batteries under a water source...

Hi Ron. You're doing a great job. Thank you for sharing all of their imperfections. Your friend Ted from San Antonio
Absolutely disgusting! You can tell that company has NO engineers on staff designing anything.
You dont have to be a vet to know what a dog is, the people who make these bunkers are just scammers.
Neither does Atlas tbh, they have cost cutting issues too, just not as blatant as that air filter

love the new content Ron! some day i hope to be able to afford an Atlas bunker or shelter - you do great work and I'd be proud to support your company
Get their disgruntled customers together and file a class-action suit.
What a messed-up situation! Thanks!
Interesting logo for that other bunker company, three crosses. It will take a ton more blessings to get this thing safe and in shape.

Could putting an above ground reinforced concrete vault be an option to put over the existing stairway so that there's something such as a side facing door?
So that whoever enters has to go left or right to get to the stairs, making it harder gamma rays to get down there.
3 feet of hard packed soil, or 2 feet of concrete to attenuate gamma.
To be fair, it looks like the bunker isn't leaking water in at all.
Just huge amounts of condensation inside, obviously from a totally crap ventilation system.
I do also agree, the top layer of concreting is abysmal!

@@Mike-yl6hs It's using a 120v NEMA plug and outlet though.
Good idea IMO would be to dig for new galvanised vent pipe. Good ventilation helps a lot with this kind of issues 🤷♂️
This thing is rough 😮

Sadly as this looks I feel like a buried old school bus would be safer.
At least with the rough concrete you'll have a better chance of the new concrete bonding to it than if it were smooth.
Why would anyone install power systems under a sink?
You're doin the Lord's work
How would anyone look at that and say it's acceptable?

Unless we can get a nuclear bomb we can only use previous testing and engineering from the 50’s to the 80’s
In wartime, the best shelter is hidden. Anyone can see this thing poking up. lol
Please move the batteries from under the sink to another location what if the sink was to ever leak not a good place for them
