  • Join in with Ron as he visits four unhappy Rising S customers who are seeking warranty help but could not get the service they desired from Rising S. We take a tour of these shelters that all seem to keep leaking, and have non-working air systems.

      You got a remember, only the rich and elite have top end bunkers. So my personal opinion is they look at us common folk, who might want bunkers and not really give a crap. It’s your money that you’re burying under the ground for when the world goes to shit. why would they want you to be safe or better off than they are when that happens? That’s just my theory but I could be wrong.

    I've been watching videos of Bunkers and Fallout and Nuclear shelters for years because I'm a technician of atmosphere control (Air Quality and filtration in closed spaces)..
    I watched thousands of videos in English, Arabic and Russian (I speak the three).. and visited 10s of Bunkers including famous ww2 bunkers like the bunker 703 in Moscow.. and installed 10s of underground air systems in Oil facilities and a few Bunkers in Africa and Asia..
    And I say it with confidence, Atlas is not the best advertiser, but is definitely one of the very very few who knows what the hell they are doing in this business!

    One would have to question why Rising Sis able to keep building and selling Death Traps. If I sold a faulty Gun to a person and it backfired and killed the person I would be in prison. How they knew it had a propane heater in the Bunker that killed three people and said they didn't know what caused the explosion is hard to believe. In the event of radioactive fallout I think water leaks from above would be a real danger. Not to mention having your deep shelter flood while the ground outside is still full of dangerous fallout. Kind of also sad to see that above ground water supply that would simply be blown over and away during a blast wave.

      @kenibnanak5554 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kingrutse3278 3 feet is enough for windblown fallout, but of course closer to the blast area you would want at least 5 feet of soil or concrete above you. You could have an adequate shelter, but if there is a void allowing contaminant to run down the outside your vent pipes or power cords and into the shelter, then as you say Gamma may get you. The good news is by day 3 many of the Gamma sources will have decayed into Beta or Alpha sources.

Would love to see an above ground shelter built like the round, above ground old block houses on Cape Canaveral (I've been inside several of them on ICBM road, including LC-37. Von Braun used to work in these sites. The center of the building are massive vaults with some very heavy duty vault doors. Powder milk update...I tried vacuum sealing some Kroger powder milk today. As I wrote about earlier, powder milk was very poor 6 years after BB date. It would only be suitable in an emergency. I had some static issues and had a hard time vacuum sealing the powder milk. But I was able to vacuum seal 3 test pouches. I will have to buy some more powder milk and try some other methods of vacuum sealing to keep the residue to a minimum.
    If you do vacuum seal powder milk, give it 2 seals. After you seal the first time, make sure you leave some bag left to clean and reseal that. Don't do as I've told you to spread the product out around the vacuum bag to make the bag flat and not a ball. Powder milk or any static prone material has to be at the bottom of the bag and far away as possible from the seal. Too bad no pictures on YT or would send in some photos to illustrate.

    This is the scariest part about choosing a BUNKER BUILDER. These bunkers cost a minimum of $100,000, so to have them under ground, flooding, mold, and broken air and water filtration is a horrifying thought. SMH Secondly, its hard for me to believe that there is no INSPECTION STANDARDS required of companies as they're building these bunkers. SMH

    Welcome to Atlas Survival Shelter
    At Atlas Survival Shelter, we take pride in our commitment to excellence and providing the highest quality in shelter systems. Please note that we do not offer repair services for any Rising bunkers. Our focus remains on ensuring the superior performance and reliability of our own systems and customers.

    We do not provide repair or replacement services for specific components found in Rising bunkers, such as:
    air filtration systems

    gas heaters with electric functionalities

    I generally like your bunker component choices better. On the other hand, I like the idea of powering the equipment with DC using a solar panel. In an emergency situation, it will probably be easier to obtain DC and recharge the batteries with solar panels or even an alternator. Why don't you recommend DC power?

    • @killerdeamonking
      @killerdeamonking 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well to be honest its going to suck even if you have AC because of EMP strikes , Solar on the surface will be obliterated in the event of a blast. Only way i see AC working is if you have a generator in the Bunker, Battery storage can also be a massive issue as when your batteries charge they create explosive gases like hydrogen. Yes we can use non lead acid batteries but you still run into the same issues with lithium . However that being said i do agree that we need 2 separate systems for power.

    • @VEChaplin
      @VEChaplin 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@killerdeamonking There are batteries that are sealed like AGM and LiFePo4 which do not emit gas when charged. Nothing to do with lead.
      The chances of an EMP arriving in North America and also affecting where we will be are quite low.
      On the other hand, the risk of other situations arising where we must protect ourselves and have energy sources other than the public system is very probable.
      In addition, solar power is very discreet, does not make noise, therefore does not attract attention or the risk of attack and allows you to be independent of fuels which will be difficult to obtain.

    • @killerdeamonking
      @killerdeamonking 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Solar does not make audible noise but it is indeed very noisy should someone use a EMF meter to scope you out. While i don't disagree with you those LiFePo batteries can explode and leak lithium which is very toxic should a battery fail to charge correctly or be overcharged. They do still have benefits when going on battery power indeed and its something that i have in my near future.@@VEChaplin

    • @VEChaplin
      @VEChaplin 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@killerdeamonking Solar panels do not radiate at all. It is often the charge controllers who do this (like all the switching power supplies that we have in all the equipment) and there is a way to limit the problem through good design and filtration. There is no long distance RF signature that people could pick up, let alone attempt to locate...
      The risk of explosion of LiFePo4 is very limited compared to other lithium-based chemistries. LiFePo4 are very stable and they all have BMS which allows you to control the charge, discharge and temperature. To make such a battery explode, you really have to want it...

    20:28 Most of the advice here is good, but doors that open out can be fatal. If blizzard snow is piled up against one, or a tree has fallen against one, or your enemies have parked a car against one, you can't push it open to get out. That is bad news if you have a fire inside and cook like crispy critters in your own bomb shelter because you can't get out. If a door doesn't open inward it can easily kill you. To stand up to atomic blasts it will cost extra to do it right, so the only question is-- what is your life worth? Spend the money, have an internal lip around the door frame but inside, have a lot of bolts that get pushed (on the inward side against the lip, like a hospital autoclave door) against the lip-- until you want the door open on your own terms, and then you are a lot safer. It doesn't matter whether the door opens horizontally (like an ordinary house door) or vertically (like a hatch door shown here in aluminum just above the lawn level) anything that opens outward can get blocked off accidentally or intentionally by people who want to kill you and get your stuff.

      That’s what the escape tunnel is for.

    • @jackieow
      @jackieow 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In case of fire, you can be overwhelmed by fumes and heat and especially flashover in way under a minute. Including waking up in the middle of the night to already fully engulfed situations. If you can't fling open a door and rush out to safety in a couple seconds, you are literally toast. You don't have several minutes to twiddle a dozen hatch-opener screws and excavate away the final foot or two of sand/soil fill that gets you to the surface. Escape tunnels have their place, but saving anybody from a deadly raging fire is beyond an escape tunnel's capabilities unless it is quick to enter the tunnel and then quick to get out the other end. Hoping bad guys with guns and hatchets aren't waiting for you on the distant end.@@jaxrules2892
