My first Mustang was a 2004 GT 40th anniversary edition. Fun car and great memories, especially from cars and coffee. My oldest son was only 3 and a half when I sold it and still remembers it. Had headers, x pipe, pulley, Flowmaster and intake spacer. New I needed more power though when I got spanked by an 04 mach 1 on the highway, lol.
For what it’s worth Tony my 2022 Mach1 sits next to my 2003 Mach that I purchased new. I absolutely love the new edges. I drive it probably more than the 2021…117k on it and counting…great video
One of the best signature v8 sounds came out of this car, still dont know how they did it lol. The newer ones dont sound like it, none of the camaros can sound like it. Its so unique that you know what it is before you see it.
A lady friend had one of these with a V6/auto back in the day, she let me take it home so I could change the oil. I knew the thing was a dog, but getting smoked by a Honda Odyssey is just beyond embarrassing 😂 No wonder you only spoke all of two sentences about the V6 cars. I also got a drive a buddy’s Terminator Cobra back in 2003 when I was in the service, and that thing was the polar opposite of that V6 turd. The blower on those sounds wicked.
Had a 2000 V6 Mustang. Was a decent car, got it stupid cheap..The upgraded Essex was fun. After having sooo any Fox cougar/thunderbird TBI V6s it was a real uograde for a base power plant.
My project car is a 2003 Ford mustang base, got it a few years ago with 151k miles with a misfire for 1k, cats got stolen but I got a 96 mustang's cats on them with rims from I believe a 03 svt model that were on that 96, Im a 2nd year in college and have it as my project, I'm repainting both sides of the car in its original oxford white and will likely be painting the roof black. I want to swap the engine and transmission to either a 4.6L to learn more about engines then later a 5.0L for all out drifting. I got hooked to ford and mustangs as a whole due to my grandpa's 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (pfp). I got to drive his Mach 1 last Memorial Weeked and told him I want to finish restoring it for him. I hope to begin painting this next week and polish it the week after. Next semester is when I will likely be painting the roof.
Thanks for sharing your story! It's awesome to hear from someone your age with an interest in the automotive hobby as that's is no where near as commonplace as it once was.
The only reason im in autobody is because of my uncle and my grandpa! Once its done painting, I can tweet you the finished product with the photos of prepaint!@@TonysFordsandMustangs
I enjoy very much my 03 Mach1. Fun hooligan car with Hawk brakes and sticky Falken RT 615. Been on the track many times....would need more sway bars and springs for a serious track car. I like it.>almost as much as my SVO
Tony, I know you didn't cover much on the V6. In 2003 and 2004 Ford put out a V6 Pony Package Mustang. They are the one's you see with the fake GT scoop hoods, and the running horses on the bottom of the doors. They had options on them that the Base V6 did not have.
I’m sorry but the 70’ Boss in the first clip stole the show for me lol. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a Cobra R last year. I’m not a big SN95 guy but I do like the looks of the termi cobras
I had a 2001 GT Vert as my first mustang. I didn’t realize how close the DNA was to the Fox body. As I recall the marketing at the time was “all new”. I bought it new and traded it for a sedan when I got married and bought a house. My daily driver needed to be replaced and could not swing it financially. Got back into a stang years later with my 2019 GT vert. Which is so much better of a car with heated and cooled seats plus 200 more HP.
My beater while I'm waiting for my new Mach1 is a 2004 New Edge Base w/5spd. 40th Aniv. Package. It has the Bullitt suspension, Bilstiens, Cobra brakes, 18" TSW square 275-40 18 Conti. Extream Contact setup. Slow in a straight line, but handles very nicely.
Enjoyed your video especially the mention of the “spring” edition mustang but what happened to the special 1999 35th anniversary edition ? Keep up the great work 😊😊😊
I think a couple of those concepts were sold and driving around at some point. I really don't cover concepts as the details are so difficult verify. Thanks for for mentioning it.
Hello Tony, I love your channel. I was watching this video and something struck my eye. The center wheel caps seem to have a trim ring , I would love to find those if in fact I am seeing correctly. Can you enlighten me as I have found what I want but not in 2.5 inch Dia. Thank you
@@RTmach I picked those wheels up at American Muscle. Now that was back in 2010 so I don't know if they still carry them or not. Those caps were cheap plastic centers with a Bright chrome finish that came with the wheels.
Its a shame the Fun Mustang is Gone the last one was 2004 and we have been stuck with the 2005 to date that looks like a Limo and after drivin a new 5.0 all I could say is Really Ford and No where close to the old 5.0 As I see it the once Fun Mustang and Cobras are Gone Forever if you own a 99 thru 2004 Take care of it There be No More fun ones Forsure
Thanks for putting me and my car in the video. It's especially nice to hear somebody say I'm doing something the right way.
Thanks you for your time & it was a pleasure. I wouldn't have said it if I didn't believe it. Keep doing what you do Mike!

I recently bought a 70,000 mile 1999 Mustang GT convertible with Metallic Electric Green paint. Gorgeous car.

@@MattB8030 The 03 Terminators Roar is unmistakable and fkn amazing.
It's a Terminator Cobra!
Had a 79 5.0, 89 GT Cobra(miss that car) 2005GT, 2010GTdrag pack. Now back to a 2000 V6, and planning a 351C swap.

I had to mention them but there's not much to get excited about there. No different than the 2.3 foxes really.

These cars and the SN95's in a few years are going to be what Fox's are today.

The 99 Cobra and the 03 Mach 1 in the video were both mine. Both white of course :)
I built the 1/24 Monogram 99 Mustang SVT Cobra kit a couple of months back...
Now this is my mustang! I was 11 when it came out. I remember it being a BIG deal! Sad now they are all clapped out :(
Nice video. Enjoyed it.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video! You missed the 99 GT Anniversary Limited Edition Mustangs. They made just under 5000 units.

Too bad white venom didn’t get to see the Hudson Bay. Another great video Tony
Thank you sir! After making it in the F150 I have to say it would have been a brutal ride in the Cobra.
Don't forget the new edge Mustang also had a 5.8L DOHC 40V Modular V10 in the V10 Mustang Concept.

I really am saving hard for a mach 1 or cobra. If I get one I'll be sure to tell yall! Much love everyone! Hope you all achieve your dreams!

A Dodge demon t shirt?
It was a free shirt with a ride and drive of the Demon. I mean free shirt? Why not?
I got a Plaid shirt😂
They are the worst looking mustang
@@pmd7771969 I never understood why people liked this model so much.
Personally, I think the SN95s and especially the New Edge mustangs are the best looking mustangs ever (except the original mustang of course)
The Mustang New Edge isn't too bad even though it looks like a Japanese sports car. 🤣
