A FUNDAMENTAL and clearly stupid mistake by these companies who don't know how to make a good game. (AKA: Not everything needs to be multiplayer, but most game corporations are possessed by greed).
2:12 Guard break attacks aren't unavoidable, you can counter them with strike attacks
It's a rocksxpapersxscissors fighting game, it's not that hard to understand
Mixing RPG and fighting elements is jarring, and makes the game feel insanely stressful.
The Rock-Paper-Scissors gameplay is still flawed, Strikes does not block breakers which breaks the game if you go with a block on multi hit moves

@@01Danni10 strike only absorbs breakers, and not every Attack blocks each other specially on Megazords where the DragonZord only absorbs most of the attacks and doesnt get blocked
What bugs me the most is that for all the characters they add, they still won't add Alien Rangers or Operation Overdrive representation. People can say what they want regarding those seasons, but they still should add characters from every season to the game. If freaking Megaforce can get characters, why not Overdrive?

@@HesJulioCoolio I'm happy to get characters from the comics and some seasons do have plenty of love, such as Jungle Fury and Dino Charge, but there are plenty of seasons that have only one character, like Lightspeed Rescue and Ninja Steel. I wish Nway and Hasbro start to add characters from seasons that need more love.
Marioman, when it comes to representation, battle for the grid isn't any better because mighty morphin is the only series to have more then 1 character.

Just a correction on the level/character thing. You only need to be at that level to get the chance to unlock those characters from free boxes. If you unlock the character by buying it or using crystals, you will still be able to play as that character even if you're not at that league.
Ok, that makes a bit more sense, but I still felt robbed from the whole Mesogog situation. I thought I would get the character, but it was just a chance.
JulioCoolio yeah it is definitely sketchy any time you buy one of those boxes. The odds are VERY bad, you can actually click an icon (i) and it will show you the odds. It’s usually like 25%-40% for just one shard when it says 0-10. You should only pay for the ones that are guaranteed unlocks.
I got stuck between two leagues, once I get to the next one I start losing and losing till I get sent back all the way. It feels like the game is going against me

Great animation and cool design. Terrible game play. When you're in a higher level, your opponents basically dominate the game if they pay. Like, they wouldn't even let you counter the attacks even when you are allowed to.
You just need to get good, I havent spent a single cent in this game and I dominate

Out of curiosity I downloaded the game and here are my thoughts:
Graphically it's pretty good for a mobile game. The detail on the rangers is pretty solid it's impressive. And control wise it functions for a mobile game despite being too simple. And the inclusion of Street Fighter characters(Ryu Ranger) is kind of cool.
What kills it for me are the microtransactions and the progression. What's worse is that it's not even worth it. I wasted .99 cents because I thought I was gonna buy the Quantum Ranger till I realized it was just a bunch of random support characters and power coins. I wasted a dollar on it and I still felt ripped off. And yeah I agree the combat is not very fair.
I'm not angry I'm just dissapointed which acording to Somecallmejohnny it's much worse.
So yes I totally agree with everything you say and it's easy to see why you woudn't recommend it.
Yeah, the game has potential but is pretty crappy. And thank you for telling me about Quantum, no one believed my story about getting ripped off while buying Mesogog.

I am aware of the problems of this game, but I still play the game cuz I love being challenged. I’m just patient because eventually these premium characters will be easier to unlock as they add more characters to the roster but good video. You bring up some good points.

They recently added Adam in his Ninja Frog outfit and to say he’s overpowered is a goddamn understatement. Nearly every attack he has is either impossible to cancel out even if you use the right kind of attack (you literally can’t block his attacks cause he stun locks you EVERY TIME) or is so long that it literally allows him to perform multiple combos that leave you with so little health you might as well not bother. That’s why they make you pay for the better characters cause they’re so strong the standard characters are a joke
that character is just one of many that people just spam out the same moves over and over. once i see solar ranger, all I know is that player is gonna spam the same shit over again
Balor Shield gonna be honest when I got the chance to play the solar ranger, I was irritated by how spammable her attacks were. No balance whatsoever! It wasn’t even fun to play, just annoying!

I totally agree with this video. When the game first launched i was really excited to see what this game could become, but after seeing what is it now the word corporate is the best way to describe this game. I love the fact the almost all generation of rangers are being pack into the game, but if you are giving us so much fan service and nostalgia why charge us a arm and a leg. Plus, those chances of getting a character is trash andt he combat is super RNG. I do hope this game gets a better balance when it comes to obtaining characters and combat. I still have hope.

The blue skills are what really make me mad with this game as well as what you said.
I hate that the game uses a rock paper scissors option. But one of the 3 actually beats 2 since blues beat blues as well.
And combo breakers in general are something I'm not a fan of in general but in legacy wars it makes a luck based game even more luck based

I’ve had a roller coaster of “oh he doesn’t get it” to “This man just doesn’t get it!”. Really most things you didn’t notice. For example when it shows something like a IV over a character when you get a shard, that doesn’t mean you can’t get it, it means when you get that rank you most likely or looking forward to getting the characters.
it might just have been a mistake by me, but, am i the only one that felt like they just threw u into a fight and expected u to know what to do like "ok have fun fighting. u don't need a demonstration or anything. just try not to lose"
This happens with most fighting games though. At least there is a training mode.
One thing I LOVE about this game is the fact that as of now there are a ton of characters they haven’t added yet, so it keeps you play the game to find out the next character. In my opinion, the only problem is the attacks are not rotation like clash royale cards. Other than that, I think the game is great.
2:01 “Even if you click a button first your opponent can still have the upper hand if their character is faster”. First of all, yes... That’s how fighting games are... They have operated like that for the longest time now, but even so the example you show on screen doesn’t even display that. Legacy Wars uses a rock paper scissors system with strikes breakers and blocks. What happened to you there wasn’t about speed, strikes literally always counter breakers no matter who hit first.
2:08 “You also have to calculate proximity, half of the time your attacks won’t even reach.” Again, accounting for proximity is just kinda something fighting games have always done, but that’s literally not what’s going on in that clip again! Swiping away from projectiles as they approach your character is how you dodge them. Your attack was at a fine range it was just dodged.
2:12 “Not to mention unavoidable block breaks.” I really am starting to doubt that you understand how this game works at all. The game made it’s rock paper scissor system very clear and literally displays it at the bottom corner every match. If anything the block breaks are the easiest to counter because they come out slow and strikes are the the most common card. They’re called “block breaks” because they break blocks not because they break through literally everything. Countering them is exceptionally easy and theres plenty of moves and support characters specifically built for it.
2:31 “The worst part is that the game punishes you for loosing. Every match you can earn or loose points. These points will determine which league you’re in. Loose enough fights and you could get sent back a whole league.” Yes... thats literally how EVERY major modern fighting game with a ranking system works. Are you suggesting not punishing the player for loosing? It really seems like you are, I don’t think I need to point out why that wouldn’t work.
3:05 “but rather the Smash fans who think every game needs to be an HD port of Melee.” God, are you serious? What kind of comparison is Legacy Wars and SSBM? The two games share literally no similarities at all, you are only making that comparison because of how Melee is stereotyped to be the “toxic hardcore game”. I guarantee you most people who are serious about Melee wouldn’t be interested in touching Legacy Wars with a ten foot pole, what you’re saying is the equivalent to comparing Dark Souls and Crash because they’re both hard and they’re also both video games.
4:13 “I wouldn’t be able to play as him anyway due to not being a certain rank.” Again, that is wrong. The rank text over characters displays what rank you need to be for their shards to appear in the free lootboxes you earn from playing, not what rank you need to be to play them.
4:23 “The newest and best characters are usually reserved for premium members. You can only become one thought the small monthly payment of 19:99.” Yet again, you are wrong. You do not need to be a VIP to get the premium characters, the VIP just gives you better daily/monthly rewards and nothing more.
“Everyone is just sort of okay with how this game is built because it’s the only Power Rangers MMO.” It’s..... not an MMO...... I really don’t think you know what an MMO is. Just because something is multiplayer and has joinable groups doesn’t make it an MMO...

A mobile power rangers game has soooo much potential as an open world game or RPG, like training at SPD or Grid Battle and working your way into having your friends as a team or time traveling with the Time force and SPD teams or going through other dimensions with RPM and Dino charge teams and collecting and earning your morpher

If you want a good Power Rangers mobile game, I recommend Power Rangers All-Stars.
I played it once, it’s pretty good. Though I prefer Power Rangers Dash.

Julio hope you read this, the game has changed but not significantly enough to drag old players back in, the game is a mixture of both, skill and being p2w. The easy option is to p2w but u learn no skill. Like any other game, you have to be patient with it and learn its mechanics and counters otherwise not learning this results in league drop which p2w players push so hard in easy leagues that they drop when facing skilled players. I was able to push to league 10 with a new acc and I didn't even pay a penny in under 3 days with not much grinding. The definition of this game heavily depends on the skill and to an extent prediction. But being p2w you don't learn these skills and start mashing and spamming cards with no idea like you.
Okay I understand a gacha-style way of getting characters, plenty do it.. but.. having some characters locked behind just being exclusive to like a payed membership is bad, also bad is locking use of characters to ranks... other games that do the random loot style let you use anyone at any point (for example Dragonball Dokkan battle had at one point me using beerus and gogeta in saiyan saga stuff, plus the only thing locking me from getting stuff is just timed events.. which eventually those things re-happen [sometimes even have some of the rewards eventually just become available normally in summons])
Also... when cards are used for attacks, typically those are turn-based rpgs or.. rpgs in general where it doesn't matter distance since... automatically just use the attack.. but having it in a style where all you gotta do to avoid is be an inch outside of where the opponent is hitting ain't right, cards could be used as like.. special attacks, but not your basic shit XD
Exactly, the whole point of RPG elements is that one person attacks at a time. Having two people attacking at the same time will cause the game to glitch out.
Another problem is that unless you have a better internet speed than your opponent, you will always lose due to input lag

Yeah i wish it wasn't locked through Zeo Shards. I wish it was like Marvel Contest Of Champions which is a slot machine to unlock characters. Then once you have that character you can get it's Zeo Shards to upgrade. Plus the battle system could copy MCOC but keep its Rock/Paper/Scissors mechanic
Hello from the future! I can tell you as someone who has played alot of this game and never spent a cent that this game is really pay to win. The combat isn't even skill based. It's based on luck sometimes cause each color is a counters the another color but sometimes you could get screwed over and not have the color needed to counter and even worst some characters move so fast that you can't even grab the right card in time. Some characters can just stun lock you and some have special abilities that have no counter at all. I'm in a werid love hate relationship with this game. I play beat some people until I get beat by someone that brought two blue card characters and then complain to myself for hours before returning to the game like nothing happened.
True, this game is really stupid. You cant use your own attacks and combinations, like Tekken/Streetfighter etc .

As far as pay-to-win mobile games go, it's actually a good game. But that's just it. It's a pay-to-win mobile game, and pay-to-win mobile games just aren't good in general because of the consistent design decisions made from the ground up specifically to milk the consumers wallet as much as possible. There's no getting away from that. It's not just this game, it's the entire mobile gaming market.
Best advice is just to avoid mobile games altogether. If something is on mobile, and it's a port of a console or PC game, it might be alright. But if it's a game that was built for mobile from the ground up, then it's always best to avoid it. Stick to PC and consoles for gaming if you want a good gaming experience. Power Rangers wise we've got Battle for the Grid now on console/PC anyway, which is the superior game, just a shame the roster isn't as big (but probably never will be, just because there is less money in console/PC games than mobile games these days, as unfortunately pay-to-win works for profit, so companies do more for their mobile games than their less exploitative console/PC counterparts).
Sadly, in many ways console/PC games are becoming alot like mobile games in their design these days too. But they aren't quite AS BAD as mobile games. Yet.

The game has a ton of problems that I think make Sonic 06 look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Wow, that's basically everything I take issue with. The random nature of the attacks you can pull off were my biggest issue with the game. Transformers forged to fight uses a simple combat system where you just swipe to move or attack, and that's certainly a far better system than randomized actions that often lock you in place.
And all that because you have a good phone with good internet connection, as you didn't mentioned how you can randomly lose (and get punished by losing your rank points) because of a connection issue
I love this game and have been playing for 2 years. I play as a free player meaning I don't have premium and don't spend unless there's something I want. I'm in Silver(4900+) in case anyone is wondering. To unlock and use any character in any League you only need 10 shards to do so. You don't have to be in league 10 to play Lord Drakkon if you have him unlocked. You don't have to have premium to purchase new character shards, just pay to unlock boxes till you have it. This game has solo and alliance raids which guarantee loot boxes based on the amount of damage you deal. The battle system takes a little to get used to for new players but it easy to understand.

There is a lot of try guards and they are the people who make the game not so fun,if they did not do that the game would be more fun,and also I like how YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO TRY to get stuff,I kinda like how you get punished if you lose because if it did not do that everybody would just be on top leaderboard,and it is really not that hard to gane zeo shards,and if it says common you are gonna get most of the time,if its says rare you are still gonna get it a lot,epic you might get pretty often,legendary is called legendary for a reason,it is the most rare zero shard to get and once you get 10 you finally get the legendary, but not all legendary characters are good,so be careful

1) Moving the show in both cases would be detrimental. Discovery is a small channel and Disney hates PR.

Mangecko Gaming Sharingan They actually didn’t want the show. They only got it as part of the ABC buyout. During the production of those seasons, they kept shrinking the budget and limiting the episodes. There wasn’t even furniture in the writers room.
They were essentially embarrassed to have the show, and had to be convinced various times to continue the show by either the producers or other companies involved.

Power Rangers All Stars is a better application of a series that has such a large cast as Power Rangers
It's just too bad Nexom was the one to create it; no updates in two months; hardcore players are abandoning it now.
Haven’t played All Stars in a while, but it was pretty good. Though I prefer Power Rangers Dash when it comes to apps based on the show.

Yo these people are evil, they don't even like westerns. Been playing for a while on and off and less as they update the app. They don't care if it sets a negative narrative for Capcom or Power Rangers , they just want your money. If you invested they can/will nerf characters and if your character (s) got selected for balancing well then your time and money have been instantly waisted and now you would have to invest in another character that can perform. I swear to any one reading this, google play or a third-party should start to audit these apps not just power rangers. When did we just start being ok with these shady and unfair app schemes these guys come up with? They think they can get away with everything they are doing and some one should make them accountable.
I really wish that Legacy Wars HAD gone the Contest of Champions route. From the footage you’ve shown in this video, it seems like a lot better of a fighting game than legacy wars.

From your perspective, you point out some new problems that I wasn't even aware of. But I can guarentee you, even for older players like me, or even high rank players this is just not that fun as traditional fighting game like Tekken 7 or something, unless you constantly drop money on this game, no one would try to GIT GUD, if you can just PAY 2 WIN.
They just need to fix the problems of money and crystals more accessible to get characters and legendary
If you want an up-to-date good modern Tournament Fighter Power Rangers game...get Power Rangers Battle for the Grid. Original voice actors reprise their roles, story is adapted from Shattered Grid so Lord Drakkon is present and playable, you can now play as Lord Zed, and is simple yet tight and satisfying.
I am planning to cover BFTG soon. It’s leagues better than Legacy Wars in terms of gameplay. But I have a problem with how it took a few months for the game to feel "complete".
This game used to be so fun to play at one point but yes I agree with everything. I think it started to get out of hand with new characters getting super moves and ridiculous morph boxes they offer. I’ve slowly started to stop playing 😔 plus nWay has hardly given a good update in months.
It was good at first, but then the game's flaws started to show very quickly.
If legacy had a better control set up, There is a blaz blue Mobile game that has a better control that contest of champions imo (Check it out its really fun) and that blaz blue game is very fair, while only getting one character to start, When you play the game and the story you unlock another thing, weather its a game mode or a new character, you can spend money, but unlike legacy wars, you realky dont have too, I honestly had more frun playing without paying
If legacy wars had that mentality and that control scheme, plus the amount of characters from different series that it already has, then it would be the perfect Power rangers game
I just deleted this bs game this weekend alone it took over a 100 dollars from me an I still didn't have enuff to upgrade my character
To me, this game is more like paying will only get you so far, in most cases the guy going with pay2win doesn’t have the skill, yes there is luck and rng based on this game, but there is a rotation factor on the game too, meaning it isn’t all random, because there is a higher chance to pull a different ability rather than the same.

I've been playing this game since it came out 2 years ago nd am STUCK on league 5 smh...ANOTHER big thing ii HATE is the fact they don't let You trade or sell the warriors You don't like 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 thanks for this vid, You made me realize ii will NEVER unlock the characters ii really want...ii may be deleting this soon, taking up too much space on my phone anyways
It sucks you can’t trade or sell characters. Marvel’s Contest of Champions let’s you sell any duplicates you have.

I am a legacy wars players and i want to clarify some things:
1.even though you need to be in a certain league to unlock certain characters normally,through the shop if you got all 10 shards you would still be able to play it.
2.yeah,the paywall is a big problem,and i have only unlock 1 premium rangers,for it to be removed from the premium category.
It's a game you gotta dedicate time to. It's for sure sweaty. I still play, tho. I love playing Gia. She was the first legendary I unlocked in thr game and I just kind of stuck with her haha
They don’t even have all the characters.no zeo red,phantom ranger,the police ranger from turbo
They have a majority, just not all of them. Also, Phantom Ranger is in the game.
Ping problem faced because due to bad connection I lost 4 macths Evenhough the connection is strong
I stopped playing a long time ago for the reasons you spoke about.
the cards are really easy to understand really, if u use a character enough you will learn the attacks or u can just read the information
I gotta say theirs a skin for Goldar Which is king sphinx and in pretty sure everyone agrees with me it should of been it’s own character and another thing we need more of the villians! Like theirs so many good ones we could have had but no we don’t get them it’s so frustrating

I agree Power Rangers legacy wars is a very overrated game. The gameplay is very flawed. The fact that you have to pay like over $20 to get certain characters is ridiculous. And that's the same reason why I haven't played battle for the grid.
Red Buster I know Legacy Wars is a free game, but there are still other ways to earn money than having paywalls.
BFTG is a bit better, but still has some flaws.
@@HesJulioCoolio another problem I had with battle for the is well.I watched the trailer for The story mode on TH-cam and I was a little disappointed with the fact they didn't get most of the original actors to come in and voice their respective characters. With the exception of JDF.
Red Buster JDF did actually voice Tommy in BFTG. Though I find it hilarious how N-Way couldn’t get ASJ to deliver the rally speech from Shattered Grid. Also, a lot of these actors, like Ciara Hanna, are still around and yet they couldn’t get them to provide some dialogue. Heck, even archival recordings would be better than random actors.
@@HesJulioCoolio agreed I find it hard to believe that N-Way wouldn't been able to find them considering the fans are usually able to find them.

@@disneyerapowerrangers2923 guests leave and don't stay. I have ryu and guile in my roster they are permanent. I don't care if they were in a comic or tv show. If they aren't rangers they don't need to be in the game. That is my personal preference.

I hate it,too. I suddenly lost all the progress one day and it became factory reset mode. I was at a high level then.
You do not have to 100% the game, so just do not pay for anything. I played lots of mobile games and didn't waste a single Rubl (Russian currency). Star Wars game is different, as EA made you pay for the game and then put in microtransactions. Mobile games are free, so if you could 100% it without paying they would get profit from it and would eventually go bankrupt.

What I meant is that the game adds insult to injury. I’m not complaining about losing, but this game shouldn’t feel like an uphill battle.
Amazing video, I once saved crystals to get Gemma from rpm and got about 2 shards out of 10 which really sucked.
I played this game on its initial release, but stopped playing when they updated it and threw off the balance. I saw add for the games third anniversary, and decided to try it out again. I was shocked that the problems are worse now than they were before. The did balance out some of the characters, but choosing Solar Ranger, Antonio, or Sam is essentially a "click here to win" button. There is no strategy in this game....its pay to win and nothing else.
