    Hi my wife , son and I are from CT we have family in Bradford County Pennsylvania. They had a very large natural gas strike there a few years back love to see people that were just getting by get there just do and most are doing very well now it’s kind of funny you drive through Bradford county now you see the old farm houses all dilapidated but brand new tractors trucks for wheelers and such. I’ve been visiting my family there all my life .I absolutely love Pennsylvania and all the scenery and wildlife. I am a new subscriber looks like you have one heck of a set up there in PA very nice to see good people doing great things. Thanks for the videos

    Hi Mike.
    I have commented before but just wanted to let you know that I am in west center Alabama. A lot of what you do day to day is the same stuff that I deal with here. Thanks for showing us that we are not alone in our day to day lives and that working hard still matters.

    I've got the rk/kk 72" landscape rake, probably the same one you have behind your RK tractor. I removed every other tooth and it made that rake work 10x better in those conditions. When all of the teeth were on it, it acted like a box blade and drug up too much dirt. Therefore where I raised my rake I had a big pile of debris and most of it was dirt.

    Truly amazing how much can be accomplished with the right machines/tools. A few days and look at that front yard! I would say that anyone with a new property should most certainly also get a 40ish HP tractor and a Mini Ex!
    I have only about 4 acres, but I have had it quoted out and the pricing is nuts! Some stuff, 100ft trees near the house, yeah, I'll pay someone, but fallen trees, dead standing, brush, slash, can all be done the way Mike gets it done. Plus, it gets you outside and keeps one active.

    If you turn the rake to 40 degrees you will close the tine spacing to your travel and it will force the large stuff into wind rows you will find easier to pick up or move later.

Any thoughts or suggestions you have - pls share. Based on the amount we have cleared there is no way to gather it up by hand. Thanks!

    I was looking at this rake, and thinking ,"now finally, the landscaping rake is being used for just that purpose!" You have to use it ( as you've said, Mike ) constantly over and over and back and forth
    to get the land 'scaped' the way you want it to be. That grapple with the rake is the real equipment to get this done well.

    I have a tractor related question for you regarding the back hoe and it's stabilizers. When I have my new tractor parked for a while the stabilizers start to drop down towards the ground. Am I better off putting them all the way down when I park it or doesn't it matter? It is not parked next to anything that they could hit or rest against. Just trying to figure out what is best.

    • @HamiltonvilleFarm
      @HamiltonvilleFarm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I always just put mine down. The slow drop is just the pressure in the line decreasing over time. Not sure it hurts anything, but I put my implements on the ground to take the pressure off as soon as I shut the engine off. Hope this helps.

    Midland NC - your costing me money! You gave me the itch to quit beating myself up with our old 54 MF35 gas and look for a new tractor. Looked at the RKs & every other sub compact, ended up buying a MF GC1705 with loader, mostly best bang for the buck. Bought a new 4' box, fabricated a 55" land leveler (ripped off EAs design), picking up a 4' used bush hog today. Going to cut down our old 6' rake & refurbish it after watching this video. Been fun!
