Grain is normally sold by volume (bushel). 1 Bushel = 1 Cubic Foot. Dry grains normally weigh around 50# per bushel. Of course, the actual weight for a bushel of dry grain varies based on the type of grain, moisture content, and many other factors. If you ask for a 50# sack of a specific grain, the proprietor just gives you a bushel, without any commentary.

It's a Field Tough 72" I bought from Northern Tool. It's about 4 years old and I've used it maybe 3 times. I've gone completely away from tilling. Just got tired of dealing with weeds and dry powdered dirt. Anyway, if you're interested let me know. $550 and it's yours. New are $1100. I can send photos.

Those nut pickers work excellent for picking up brass on your shooting range! I use one all of the time at the range.
    Love the show!

Your power rake works best at a low surface pressure with minimum contact. This keeps it from becoming a rotothiller

Farmers sell grain by the bushel. Rye is 56 lbs to the bushel. Corn is 56, wheat 60, barley 48 lbs.

Im no expert but our oak does same thing. I believe the little bitty nuts falling early are the tree's way of getting rid of extra nuts ....too many to grow in a pod. Ours grow in pods on the outter ends of the branches.

A cultipacker makes good seed to dirt contact for germination and I think it hides the seeds a bit better than a drag. I have been using an old 4 footer behind the utv for many years and have good success.

I would add Fescue and Blue grass seed to your mix, you can add it in any time , even before your last frost in in spring to get ahead of that silt grass

Maybe use the excavator to tap on different areas of the tree to get more of the acorns to fall and be cleaned up at the same time, less times. Put them in piles somewhere to give the deer a nutritious, easier food source so they can give the grass seed a better chance to grow.

If that stilt grass is all around that ryegrass when it turns to seed will it just mix in and come back up next year not sure just asking

Probably should have aerated before seeding. Between birds and water run off, you are going to lose a lot of that seed.

Make a 3 sided heavy wire tree that will fit in a 5 gallon bucket and you can push the tines of the nut roll to empty.
