As a Watford fan, Ismael had to go, he seemed to have run out of ideas and the boys seemed to lack motivation. But the Pozzo method has run tiresome, much like the glazers at Man UTD the rot trickles down and it shows down to how the team performs. The sacking of Rob Edwards and being hired by our rivals & playing good football while doing if was the final nail in the coffin for me. Pozzos need to sell as they will never change

As a Watford fan, the only sacking I disagreed with was Rob Edwards...other than that they are generally deserved. Watford are more aggressive in this area but the average life span of any manager in the EPL has significantly reduced in recent years
Watford don't deserve a good manager after sacking Rob Edwards. Watford have sacked more managers, than a farmer has sacked potatoes.

It’s like they want a constant new manager bounce, arguably I think that’s what kept them in the premier league so long. Sadly though it wasn’t overly sustainable was it, but I like their idea

As a Watford fan we've certainly been way more successful than recent times if you ignore the great Graham Taylor period. I don't like the constant revolving door of mangers and the Pozzos are clearly orchestrating a lot from above. Yes I'd like owners more on board with our family history but let's not forget we were nearly sold to Bassini FFS, we've got a world class pitch, a much much improved stadium. As Simon said, other clubs languishing further down are having trouble getting back even to the championship, and they've got huge gates compared to us, Derby and Pompey especially.
If they'd given Edwards the time they gave Val he'd have got better performances, I'm sure of it. He's going to have a great career. The only other sacking I disagreed with was Xisco too fast in the Prem season when nobody could get a tune out of us.
We've had some awful ones too let's not forget, especially Hodgson, Mazzari return and Ivic.

That's exactly the problem with clubs like that, they run through managers & then it effects the team performance. Because they don't allow someone to build & get through a bad cycle. It becomes a non stop cycle of players having to learn new training methods & style of play.
It's easy for Simon just to blame the managers, but maybe allow a guy a few years & transfer windows. The time for the players to get to know the methods of the manager. Man Utd & Everton have been just the same in the last 10 years.
The turnaround in managers is just the tip of the iceberg for Watford.
- Massive turnover in players every season.
- Players are signed by the club, not the manager.
- Too many foreign players and no home grown youngsters coming through.
