Looks delicious! I think I would this as muffins rather than as a whole cake, especially since I don't have any cast iron cookware. And then put the cooled muffins in my freezer. Thank you for your video and your recipe!

I was so curious to see this baked in a skillet. I have only done cornbread this way. Thank you! It looks great.

Yes you can but you needs to add more baking powder to get a proper rise

    Can you substitute almond flour?

I'm going to make this soon with my homemade applesauce.
I'd like to make a suggestion for Jim. Would consider not doing so much panning back and forth or in and out? It bothers my equilibrium and makes me dizzy when watching.
I appreciate all the time, effort and research you both put into your videos.

Gonna try it, but NOT WITH VEGETABLE OIL OR SHORTENING...Lard or tallow only-REPLACING vegetable oil with olive oil/coconut oil/ghee, but my cast iorn will only be treated/prepared with lard or tallow(or bacon drippings)...beyond that using my prepared items which has NO SEED OILS OR HIGH PROCESSED VEGETABLE OIL...
Love ur recipes but I DO adapt to my preferred preps!
Ps you look lovely today as always...thank you for sharing😊

I absolutely Love your videos. But it is like fingernails on a chalk board everytime you bang, tap ect your utensil on the bowl or pan. I did that as I have seen you do, tapped a metal spoon on a bowl and chipped glass into the mix. Your videos are so informative and spot on for my kitchen.
