    Excellent video, I've been watching reviews to see what people are doing and no one discusses it on TH-cam. Thanks!

    That looks like a good solution. I'd keep the case off the ground,
    though. If you had puddling there, even that setup could take on
    some water.

    Does it comes with a power adapter (the white part) to plug into a wall?

      Yes, it should come with a power adapter.

    How do i hang my Wyze V3 camera on the porch ceiling ? It shows the view upside down ?

    • @Random_How-tos
      @Random_How-tos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same problem in the beginning. First you “go to the camera”, then you go to the camera’s “settings” (the gear in the top right corner) and then click “advanced settings” then toggle “rotate 180°”.

    It's not actually water tight id switch the USB cord to a round thicker cord instead of the flat cord. Might prevent any issues you may have someday with water and moisture getting in with it being a flat cord and not sealing properly

    Friend, I looked through the manual of this Wyze V3 and I didn't find anywhere talking about memory card capacity. Do you know how much it supports, if only 32GB or more?

    • @Random_How-tos
      @Random_How-tos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      From what I heard, it only supports 32 GB but I’m not sure.

    • @tracybuford9243
      @tracybuford9243 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe it’s 32 because I just today added a 64gb and it would not recognize it so I pulled one of my 32gb cards from something else and put in there and it worked fine.

      @ptwo7100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've gotten a 256 GB lexar memory card to work in all of my cameras. However given the size I'd much rather use it for something else. So I have 32 gigs in mine currently.

      Mine is using a 128gb Sd card and works great

    I don't think it's possible to come up with a cheaper system to protect the cord connections, however... .
    But then and again, if I think about it, I'd also be more likely to have chosen a wireless solar /battery powered camera which would have been arguably almost as cheap, but less wires and definitely safer.
    The trouble with electrical cords, other than the hazards that they present, like trip hazard, running over with the lawnmower hazard, electrocution hazard, etc, well, after a year or two, you probably should replace the cord. Someone walking or driving over the cord repeatedly can also make an electrical cord far less safer. Let's not consider animals that are seemingly predisposed to chewing on things.. The average cost for a 25 to 50 foot outdoor electrical cord is easily $20 to $30, plus another $8 for a protective cover; well, one could buy a solar powered outdoor camera from an arguably reputable manufacturer for about $75, or less..
    A battery powered/solar powered camera would negate the need for wiring and be a far safer alternative.

    You could literally just buy a longer micro USB cable and leave the ac adapter inside...

    • @Random_How-tos
      @Random_How-tos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that works to, but depending on the length I found this to be least expensive.

    • @Random_How-tos
      @Random_How-tos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that is true for the Wyze cam outdoor but the Wyze cam V3 has to have a constant power supply.
