    Nice build. Going with a naked vista might make the Insta360 work sub 250.

      Good choice for keeping the build lighter. I think this frame being so open on the back should help keep the vista cooler in flight.

    Nice video! I’ve been enjoying mine too. I went 6s, but it also flies great on 4s and 3s on the same default pids. Just don’t over tighten the screws to the standoffs they tend to strip out. I already had to replace most of them haha. And I broke a motor unfortunately haha🙈. Enjoy your build! On 6s it’s a rocket!

      @Nate C, I am glad to hear the 2Fiddy runs good on 4S. I have a lot more 4S batteries with XT30 connectors. For my "Park Freestyle" I don't need a rocket.

      Hi Kerry, it would be very cost prohibitive to send batteries from the US and the availability of these batteries is out of stock. Hopefully GNB will manufacture more of them. That is one of the down falls of the 6S version. I have also been flying the GNB550 6S 80C battery and you get longer flight times and flies great. The obvious downfall is it pushes the quad over the 250gram mark. Found them at a NZ store www.kiwiquads.co.nz/product/gnb-battery-22-2v-550mah-6s/

      @Diving Falcon FPV, I was going to put a 4S Lion battery on this quad to see what kind of flight time I would get. The only problem with this frame is you get props in view.

      In its sub 250g configuration, yes it flies more like a toothpick without any fling. However, with a Session and 550mAh 6S battery (373g) it flies freestyle much better with the extra mass and added disk loading (way more fling). Of course that does defeat the purpose of being under 250g. But, I still like it because it is way more quite than a traditional 5 inch build.

    to use an insta 360, you could just make it without the DJI unit and make it an analog build

    • @slogfpv5679
      @slogfpv5679  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that would shed some weight. Another option is Sharkbyte/HDzero if you still want HD.

      @@slogfpv5679 indeed. but mounting the TX5S.1 requires going with the double stack, and Joshua Bardwell's video has put me off on that front. I'm waiting for my 2Fiddy frame to arrive, I still have the tiniest hope I can mount the TX5R.1 in the back

    • @slogfpv5679
      @slogfpv5679  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pgabrieli It seems like it would fit where the Vista is supposed to be mounted with the 20x20 mounting plate. The dimensions are 32.5mm x 32.5mm which is close to Vista size. The tight spot is next to FC so I would try orientating the antenna connector to the front and the camera connector to the rear. Seems backwards but that would give you more space up front. You may have to buy a longer camera cable. The other option would be to use higher standoff to lift it above the FC if you wanted the camera cable to come out the front. This is a narrow build so having the camera cable coming out the side maybe an issue as there would be no frame protection.

    Nice build. I really like the components, but if I were to build this I would probably be more inclined to use a 4s battery, instead of that odd 6s battery. Interested to see your flight...

    • @slogfpv5679
      @slogfpv5679  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dead Lazlo, I was torn between the 4S and the 6S when the motors came out. The 4S is way more practical but I have other 4S ultra-light builds. So I decided to go bleeding edge. The other advantage with the 4S is the extra weight savings of using a lighter battery, you can run an insta 360 and still be under the 250g mark.

      Hi Barnz1980, I thought of you when I was doing this build. Tommy does put this frame through a crash test by crashing it into a brick wall until it finally broke. Pretty tough frame but probably will not hold up like a Gecko 3inch due to the thinner longer arms. He designed it so the arms break first. Here is the crash video:

      Waiting for the weather to get better before I take it out on its maiden. I have 3 working 5 inch freestyle quads. My favorite is a Marmotte HD build with an air unit so I do not have to carry a Gopro. I do like the way they fly but gravitate to smaller and quieter quads. Due to its weight, the 2FIDDY will probably fly more like a 4 or 3 inch build but will be more efficient due to its lower disk loading. SLOG

      Some of the quads are a little dated as the rapid technology improvements in this hobby reminds me of when PCs first came out. But a compare and contrast of the advances in the last couple of years could be interesting. Thanks for the suggestion.
