    Omgosh! That's so delish! For those of us who don't have that tin, we can probably use a cupcake or muffin pan, filled a third of the way with foil over the top.

    Cái này đặc sản quê e đó chị. Ở Phan Rang, Ninh Thuận chị ơi, nước cá vs mắm đậu phộng về đấy ăn vs bánh canh ngon hơn nhìu nhìu lun ấy!!! :)

    Bánh của chị nhìn ngon lắm.
    Gia đình e có bán bánh căn o ngoài Nha Trang, em đã từng phụ làm nên e có 1 số kinh nghiệm ^^
    Chị có thể rót bột nhiều hơn tí và đừng lắc cái chảo để tráng
    Chị đợi bột chín cỡ 19-20s thôi là đánh trứng cho vào đc rồi như v nhìn đẹp hơn rất nhiều. Trứng lúc này quyện vào vs phần bột trên mặt. Chị dùng trứng cút cũng ngon lắm
    Chị có thể làm nhân thịt, tôm, mực (đã chín)...Mấy loại này thì đợi bột chín cỡ 25-30s hãy bỏ vào
    Chị k cần lật bánh lại để chín mặt đâu ạ

    In Thailand we do as a desert dishes or snack similar rice cake but we add sugar and coconut cream. Very interesting how you guys make it so well as a meal.

      +kay k +TheMattsPath +fluffytom82 I use jasmine rice for this recipe. Soaking rice in water help soften the rice and make it easier to blend

      +kay k I believe it jasmine rice, not sticky rice. Jasmine rice is also used for the Vietnamese fullsize pancake, and the mini pancake that she mentioned.

    You live/lived in Europe for quite awhile right?
    Can you still eat all the street/local food without problems in therms of chilies or health? I now that lots of things are extremely fresh so you wouldn't risk anything, but as Europeans sometimes there are still things that can cause trouble. I wonder if you have these kinds of problems when going back to Vietnam.
    Any thoughts would be really appreciated!
    Thank you for the great recipes, I tried some of them and they turned out fantastic!

      +Marc K. it depends where you eat. Street foods are risky sometimes, but it's also a matter of luck :D
      I do get stomachache sometimes, but not so often :D

    Vậy cái này xài ít mỡ giống với bánh khọt nước dừa của miền tây đúng ko ? ở sài gòn hay vũng tàu thì chiên ngập mỡ/dầu . Tiếc là đồ ăn miền tây làm món nào củng để ít thịt quá .. nhìn con tôm bự chà bá ở trong video thì thèm :(

    we don't usually use oil when cooking Banh Can. My mom told me that when we used oil to cook Banh Can,it would turn out to be Banh Khot...

      mình nghĩ tại vì chị Helen dùng chảo gang nên mới phải cho dầu đó bạn, ko thì dính chết mất 😁 Tại lúc đầu cũng nghe chị nói trong document clip là bánh căn là ko có dầu nên ăn ko thấy dầu mỡ như bạn khọt đó bạn 🤓

      +Han Pham +Như Quỳnh You don't need oil if you use the clay molds. But as I use metal mold, I need to brush some oil to prevent sticking

    sai rồi chị ơi, bánh này ko dùng dầu chị ạ. Nếu chị giải thích là vì không có khuôn nên dùng dầu thị chị nên nói là bánh khọt nhân bánh căn thì hơn. vì bánh căn đc trưng là ko dầu, như vậy là sai và sẽ làm nhiều người không biết hiểu lầm

      ừ. đồng ý. nhiều người cứ nghĩ là 2 loại bánh này là 1. thực ra ko phải. clip này dùng khuôn thoa dầu là bánh khọt rồi. bánh căn ko có dầu.

      Chào bạn. Đúng là bánh căn thì không dùng dầu nhưng theo mình nghĩ, vì Helen dùng chảo kim loại nên phải cho dầu để bánh không dính vào chảo.

      Tại sợ chảo dính nên dùng dầu còn chảo nào không dính thì khỏi

    Helen....your execution on this dish is abit off.....the few item that make this dish works is the green onoin and the rendering pork fat....n also you dhould have use the dried cook rice.
