    I remember back in the 60'/70's and you could catch double figure cod from northeast beaches

    Whoever says you're a blanker, is a wa..er, you're a proper fisherman, good days, bad days, you show it how it is pal.
    I have been fishing for 50 years and I wish I had your technical knowledge. Don't let anyone get you down with their neg, you know what you're doing and you share it.
    Obviously you're not making a mint out of TH-cam so I admire you for sharing what you know. Keep it going Wayne, you'll be making a living out of videos before long mate, because you know what you're doing and your love of fishing is infectious. Carry on carrying on bro 👍🏻

    Great video mate ! I’ve just returned to sea fining archer many years in the Army. I had a stroke a few years ago,and can no longer drive. Hey partner advertised on social media for someone who would like to rake me fishing , we got a reply ,and have just done my first trip to Dungeness. Fab ,it was so good for my mental well-being. Keep up the great work 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

    I've watched quite a few sea fishing videos filmed in those fjords only like a few hundred metres from the shore in just really small boats and every time the guys were dropping their lures and heavy jig type perks within a few minutes they were hooked up every time and it was like every single fish was like at least a 20lb plus cod or coalfish, it looked amazing fishing and it looked like very deep water, lots of wolf fish were being caught too I remember because I'd never seen or heard of them before. Yeah for any lads keen on sea fishing I'm sure all of us would absolutely love a trip to fish in Norway, it looks like it can be absolutely amazing at certain times and places with huge catches of big cod and other stuff, I'd love the chance to get a trip over there sometime.

    Cracking haddock Wayne... and there's nothing normal about fishermen, I've just been stood on a rock in the dark alone freezing my aris off for a few whiting and the smallest huss I've ever seen🤣
    I did have an otter messing around on the rocks in front of me though so that made up for it👍

    hey brother thanks for the video. your cheerful personality is a remedy to anyone with any problem. i like how you never stop talking, you engage with your audience at all times. brother, you were born for this.
    i always wanted to do this but i understand it will probably never materialise due to costs so its good to see a fellow angler to go and smash them big Norwegian fish :) i have a couple of questions for you.
    - is there a way to backpacker style get away with it? i mean not paying those wealthy UK angler oriented accomodation sort of fares that are almost like guided trips and save money? just book a cheap hotel somewhere, not flying gear there just buy some cheap rods over there and have a go?
    - How is the tide over there? i understand its nowhere as significant as it its in the Bristol Channel in terms of not moving up and down 12 meters? On those piers you were fishing on, could you go out on low tide and see what sort of ground you are going to fish on?
    - What rod is your mate Stuart using? they seem very nice.
    - The shrink wrap is loose on your rod. Did that not annoy you?
    - Did you come to a conclusion on whether a popped up or a bottom bait works best?
    - Did you later catch on fish bait? (im new to your channel and i love it, im kinda bingewatching it now )

    I fished the landing last year with 2 mates and they set up where Stu and Matt were and I fished where you were. They caught loads of haddock and I only caught dogs. Think the bottom changes in that short distance between those 2 spots. Mud for haddock and rocks for dogs ?? Not sure if that's the case but definitely something different there.

    • @TheShoreHunter
      @TheShoreHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I didn't read all the comments...I need to find a short butt casting rod. I currently use a 12' downrigger rod and a slosh 30. Here in Oregon, they cast for miniscule surf perch with spinning rods. Not me. Is there a website you recommend? Thanks.
