I stumbled across this video while YouTubung and must say that I was blown away by the quality. Videography, content, audio quality and the story you tell are all fabulous. The segue videos of birds and the night sky are unexpected bonuses. Not just a travelogue, there's some subtle education on how to rig and fish for carp in there as well.
To many this will be a "nice" video, but the production is wayyy beyond nice, it's right at the level of the very best commercial productions. If TH-cam gave out Emmys this video should win one, maybe several.

What an epic! Seriously, if I would have watched this through Netflix or Amazon, I would assume it was a big budget documentary produced by them. I only discovered your channel earlier this year, but the progress in the production values is enormous compared to the early days.

Every time I watch one of these longer videos I cant keep my eyes off of it they get better and better every time when you don't think its possible for them to and are edited to perfection from start to finish. amazing commitment and determination shown in this one and I have the upmost respect for the effort put into this video. Late to the party this time but honestly you guys have outdone yourself again. I can’t believe this content is free. Fantastic location and a great bunch of guys. This is honest something that should be on a streaming service or a tv channel. Well worth the wait, from trying to bits of my own content I can’t imagine how much work you put in from actually filming the content to processing it, storing it and editing it. A true natural at presenting too, makes me miss your older videos that got removed as it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come.

Brilliant! A great narrative, fantastic cinematography and editing. It made fishing interesting for even the non-fisherman in my family. If ever there was a YT video that needed the wider audience it deserved through a change to TV, this is it.

What a treat! Most of the television fishing shows I see in the U S consist of the edited times when someone has fish on and the dialogue consists of “ nice fish”. You have a unique ability to highlight the total experience - the friendship, banter, scenery, landscape, sunsets, storms, food around a campfire, and also the heat and bugs. This goes with a good soundtrack and excellent photography. So we’ll done!

I have just watched this flick with my two youngest sons and we have been inspired! What an incredible hour and a bit of awesome entertainment; love the adventurous spirit and deep rooted fellowship on display here. Thank you both as always; you ALWAYS deliver with your superb filmography, story telling, editing and crisp commentary. The fishing is almost a side note compared to the film craft, humour and general good vibe entertainment. "Irritating Tit" is a bird species we will be on the look out for. The good news is that you will have to do another flick in search of your 40+ carp.... God only knows the size of those sturgeon you hooked into! Great to see you both reunited as bros on the shores of stunning US waters again and also with the awesome American trio! Looking forward to your next one! This makes me so happy. I have lived in Idaho my whole life (42 years). I was raised in Northern Idaho, and moved to the Boise valley 18 years ago. I have never done any fishing in the region you were in. CJ strike is a place I will be heading to this spring. I do get out fishing quite often, mostly at local ponds and in the Boise River and Snake River further north than you were. This was so fun seeing all the great footage of my home state. Very well done and you are more than welcome to come explore more anytime. One of my favorite spots is a pond right next to the Snake River. The pond holds very nice sized carp and is stocked with rainbow trout. Then you can walk 200 feet to the River and catch literally anything.

Thanks guys. Carp are interesting...many folk in US and UK will not eat them. We live next to Versailles in France where Louis XIV had a carp pond that would be drained late summer to provide salted fish in the winter. Bacon and eggs in the wild...epic. In Scotland, where I had the incredible opportunity to fish salmon and trout on a river that ran through our farm, midges (tiny mosquitoes) could wipe you out unless you smoked or had special spray. Brother love...brilliant.
