As always Wayne, an awesome video. I can’t wait to get back to the Bristol Channel for a few fish. I’m desperate for a big ray of any species, but a big blonde would be a dream come true! Would love to book a trip with Tommo out of Watchet just to get on the fish, but need to find some friends to share the costs and I’ve not got many of them and even fewer who fish! Was hoping to get back up on the Holderness coast next weekend, but have got to work instead, so that’s out the window! On the subject of baitex coming in the pot, mine developed cracks around the hole, so every time I was attaching a bait the latex would snag on a crack and break , so I have to use mine straight from the spool. Dipping it in water to find the end is a great tip, as the number of times I’ve spent forever trying to find it has been heartbreaking! I’ve just invested in an Ian Golds 7ft db1 which I absolutely love as I fish fixed spools and the wider cups mean I can adjust the reels without having to take the rod out the rest to tighten up on the right hand rod. I’ve also invested in a bait pump so I can collect some fresh worm when I’m up on the Holderness. Fantastic video as always buddy. Stay safe, stay strong and get back on that detox! I’m going through a fair bit at the minute. Doctors are switching my ‘happy’ meds so my head is all over the place, but watching your videos really helps me out my friend, so from the bottom of my heart I thank you! Keep doing what you do! Excellent video's don't do to much editing just keep doing what you are doing it's working and your fishing and when your blanking you have just run out of time 😂

As an aside, the Chesil has been wicked the last few days with the onset of that evil storm, a lot of material damage, the beach layouts have changed dramatically, rafts of weed, no fishing for a while.

Got to ask Wayne. I get the 90ld hook length. Less chance getting bitten off by big eel. But why 150lb rig body ???? If using tronix tapered leader 26 lb to 80 lb I'd think you'd break at pulley bead. For me and others less experienced. Cheers fella 👍👍

Hi Wayne I'm the same as you I always buy second hand reels as you find people buy top notch reels but can't use them and sell them on pretty un used I put abec 9 bearings in them and bobs your uncle you have a tournament reel on the cheap happy days cheers mate

What a video I do like watching very entertaining if I could ask what shock leader knot do you use a how often do you change it?
