    Thank you for sharing,I’ll sent this video to the head mechanic at Toyota Dealership and let’s cross the fingers! They were also opening a ticket with the manufacturer and the lights went back on again!

    Thanks for watching to simplify everything. Toyota have a list of options that you can pay to have added on your car at time of purchase. Trailer brake is one of them. On cars such as BMW when you don’t choose an option you basically can’t just add a controller and have the option at a cheaper cost. You will need to purchase the module and the controller and have it programmed if you wish to add a new feature to your car after purchase. On these tundras if you didn’t choose the trailer brake feature, all you have to do is purchase the controller and now you have it. The reason for that is because the car will still have the module and harness for the trailer brake assist. This can cause many issues because you can’t have a system on a car partially it’s either all there or not. So what i did is that i added the brake controller by doing that I added the missing component required to complete the circuit. This fixed it and the car has been driving for over a year without any issues. This might not fix your car because every car is different, you might’ve hit a deer or a bird and now you have an issue with your adaptive cruise could be many reasons. This is free information.

      I have a 2019 tundra 30k miles with the 4.6 just like this one and I keep getting a p0024 code and this coluaion one sometimes. When the check engine light comes on its not idling rough, it doesn't sounds loud like a loose timing chain or phaser. I changed the solenoid and the light went out. It comes on and off. What could it be you think?

    Thank you so much. One question please that I cannot find in comments about the tundras with the pre installed factory tow package. In the video Do you mean that we need to replace the current “trailer brake output” and the control module? Or are you saying that the factory never added the brake control?

    I'm having a similar issue with a 2018 Lexus IS300. It was in a front end collision but the radar itself was fine. Now the pre-collision light keeps coming on and off randomly as if there's a loose connection but I checked the harness, the connectors etc. No clue what's happening. Can you help?

    Were there others issues and not just the alarm? My 2023 Tacoma has this alarm plus lane departure alarm and the windows stopped working, the heater/ac can’t be changed, I can’t use auto lights, and headlights will turn off on their own. Originally the dealership changed a fuse and it worked fine for a few months. Slid on the dirt road last week and now replacing the fuse won’t fix the issue. Keeps blowing.

    Hi I have a 2018 Toyota RAV4 that was hit when parked and lifted on to sidewalk and knocked over a parking sign the mechanical damage was 2 front struts and the spindle. The collision shop replaced the two headlights, front bumper left and right fenders and back bumper. It drives perfectly but 1 week later the lane departure and Precollision warnings came up on dashboard what do you suggest I do to get it fixed? I checked and sensor cables are connected. It drives perfectly fine haven't taken a highway yet until i get it fixed. Could you please advise me i have to get emmissions inspection before end of June and I don't think I'll pass. Should i go to Toyota or look for a specific mechanic that can help me because out of all the information online you were determined to find the right solution. I live in NY. Thank you.

    MY FIX* Lights came on a couple days after i had tires put on. Turned out to be a front speed sensor wire had frayed. Techs must have broke tab off and it dangled. Of all things to cause all these lights. Fixed wire took for a short test drive and they cleared on their own. Hope this helps some of you narrow it down.

    Shouldn’t Toyota fix this if it’s a problem I just bought a brand new 2023 Toyota Tacoma I’ve had it since December and now I’m having this issue. In addition my windows won’t go down and my heater/ac it stuck on. Thankfully it’s stuck on A/C or I would be melting in my truck because I can’t put the windows down.

  • @dylano7242
    @dylano7242 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bs you don't know what you're talking about! Has nothing to do with a trailer brake. This pre collision, lane departure problem is happening on corollas, camry, scions, lexus cars not just toyota trucks with a brake controller. You know have the problem when the dash warning lights, codes come, and the battery is constantly drained. The best thing is to disconnect the stupid modules. It is electric shorts in the modules, wires and cpu's. Too much dependent on tech when the tech is garbage and shorts out, snd drains the car battery. Gm chevy had tons problems with their tech and cylinder deactivation. The solution was to delete and get that crap off the car.

    • @leomafrajimotors7447
      @leomafrajimotors7447  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You my friend need diagnostic training. Good mechanics fix cars not delete modules/systems( thats the easy route)! The pre-collision system is amazing because it protects you from accidents and also automatically brakes when you’re on cruise control. If you delete the system you get paid as the mechanic but your customers just paid money to remove a system that he/she paid lots of money for at time of purchase. That truck in the video is fixed and also has trailer brake now so the customer is extremely happy. No parasitic draw( the battery just needed to be replaced since the truck sat last winter) An electric short in the module won’t be solved by installing trailer brake controller. I have worked on the Chevys with cylinder deactivation and that is totally different. You chose to delete the system. I chose to replace the valve lifter oil manifold since thats the actual cause due to leak around O-rings.

      @@leomafrajimotors7447 yes, while he he has a point about crap modules that cripple a car sometimes for no reason (every non necessary module should have a button or pin to deactivate without affecting the essential driving parts ), in your case, the computer when sees the module connected, might just as well think it's all good, and it could be just a software glitch, so it's trial and error, glad you found the problem. congrats!
