Thank you for this! My pre-collision system is constantly triggering at the wrong time (such as during quick lane changes) and I'm worried it'll slam on the brakes and get me rear-ended. At the same time, it didn't trigger when I was rolling forward and checking over my shoulder for incoming traffic, resulting in a minor accident. As far as I'm concerned it's a useless system and I'm glad to be able to turn it off!
Can you please tell me how to see my digital speed displayed on the dash when I’m driving? I believe my settings were changed when I took my car in for an oil change.
THANK YOU! Was able to turn the audio off on my 2024 First Edition LC 250………BUT keep keep the traffic speed information icon, which is all I need. If you can’t see that flashing, you really shouldn’t be driving 🫣
Perhaps I missed it but is there a setting to adjust/disable the backup camera alert for I did not see that on the video. Also I am installing a scooter lift on my 2018 Highlander and it blocks the backup camera. Does Toyota have the capability to move the backup camera higher on the hatchback door so that it will make the backup camera useful again? Thank you
@Cynthia Deviva right!! Idk what I did but it's off and I'm keeping it that way lol. I think i just kept holding it down for a long time and it finally worked. It really makes you feel uneasy and it's scary
@@churrymurray any update on this?? I just got a new rav and hate how I don't feel like I completely control the steering. It's almost like I have to fight the wheel a bit to turn etc.
Rented a ram 1500 back in 2019 that had lane keep assist. I hated it. I had to keep fighting with the vehicle for control, all because it didn't feel like I was in the exact center of the lane. After I got to the gas station to fill up, I looked up how to disable that crap. Made the trip so much better.
You can do that or take it to the dealer. But you may need to check with several dealers and you may need to check with several technicians at the dealerships
its there to let you know when your too close on on the yellow line or the white line ,its pain in the ase ,but i am going to try not using it at all ,it was put in for those who dont keep there eyes on the road pretty much or there total attention on driveing ,an too help stop crashes ,if you ask me it can be good for student drivers ,couse with it on it keeps you in the lane without the bell ring or tire turning in or out to correct the steer, some call it jerking ,i feel like those who dont need it or dont want it ,just learn to shut it off ,its a pain i think couse most roads 8 feet wide are just too skinny ,but wont to improve the driveing yes ,also they will say it there to prevent accidents wich is part true , sensitivity is a low an high thing ,so it wont be as sensitive on low as it would on high ,i just shut mine of altogether ,now will see i drove 2k miles with it on an dont like it so much my 2 cent
Pcs is always going off for no reason. If i didn't have it turned all the way down, it would have caused me to get rear ended. Even when I am slowing down, sometimes it decides that it will do it for me, and that results in the truck slamming it's brakes, even though it's not needed. I end up fighting the vehicle for control. It pisses me off.
I almost got into an accident today because of the PCS. Guy in front of me was slowing down to take a left turn, so I slowed down too. Note that I had 40+ feet of clearance between us. PCS decided I wasn’t slowing down enough and decided to brake automatically for me, making all my stuff fall to the floor, making my tires screech, and making everyone else behind me brake hard as well.
i unfortunately got rear ended recently with my 2023 corolla. im just trying to figure out how to shut off the beeping noise saying my truck is open when its not (sadly had to bungie it shut now but i am scheduled to fix it soon) just want a fix for now. so im not driving and hearing it beep the whole time
What did you have to do to get the car to drive or turn over again? I’ve got the 21 Corolla and got into a wreck pretty minor but it won’t turn over at all now
You have to either get the dealer to do it, or you have to get a scan-tool type odb2/3 device. I heard it cost between $30-$100. Basically it allows you to disable door chimes, ignition chimes, seatbelt chimes, and lane departure chimes. Basically if you have a feature that chimes, you can disable it, individually.
If you read the 198 pages in the owners manual on how these systems work you will discover they don't work in a large number of driving conditions we drive in regularly. The number of situations when the braking system may activate when there is no emergency is a long list and I drive in conditions like that on a daily basis. This means I need the system off more than I need it one. Turning it off every time you cycle the car off and on is ridiculous. There should be an easier way.
At last a information video that shows you how to do the settings, thank you 😊

My sister almost got rear ended today bc the car slammed on the brakes when she was trying to accelerate. I don't know how this is allowed
Have you find a way to turn off Auto collusion permanently off? Each time i restart the car it comes back on!!
Thanks a lot, this videos really helps me as my car everything was off and it has preus safety plus,
Thanks a whole lot, clear demo on the safety features. Just have to practice using it, again thanks
Great video! THanks!! Is there a way I can turn off the beeping sensors while I go through the car wash?
Where can we cut the wires to disable permanently those annoying features ? Can we remove a fuse in the box fuse ?
How do u shut off the obnoxious seat belt noise
If you turn it all off, will it return to all on when you restart your car?

To do that you have to use your hammer and destroy it

I've tried everything, is there a way to completely turn off steering assist?
I hate the assist. It scares me its like someone steering against my steering. Doesn't seem safe to me at all

@ethannaka1822 I just hold the lane keep assist button down for a few seconds, and it turns off! We figured it out a couple of months ago
Why my 2023 tundra limited blind spot monitor has no audio alerts.
Are these applicable also with toyota yaris 2023?
My reverse sensors don’t have a button in the settings… it hasn’t been on at all. I drive a 2019 Avalon
I would like to turn the volume down on trunk alert tone of my 2016 Sienna but it is nowhere to be found. Do you know how I can access this?
You can do that or take it to the dealer. But you may need to check with several dealers and you may need to check with several technicians at the dealerships
Thank you so much!
My 2020 SE doesn't even have the blind spot one and it's the main one I needed most. 🥺

Same here, already turned off PCS but somehow it still did auto brake. Any solution?
2023 prius, everytime I hit my brakes the "check surrounding area for safety" screen comes on, anyone know how to adjust that?
very cool - thank you :)

Btw, i know you have a corolla, but the device is still the same, since it plugs up through the obd2/3 port.
this would be great if you showed how to scroll
Arrows up, down, left, right on the left side of steering wheel. OK button to select.
He said that in the very beginning of the video.
What if u go to settings and ur not able to change any of the settings
Thank you. They are very annoying with a trailer.
I want to turn off the seat belt siren! PLEASE HELP
Right!! Me too! I hate it! Buyers remorse
To turn off buckle your seatbelt

How to turn on and off reverse sensors in this car because it doesn't show in settings.
Located for P sign with Wi-fi sign
Where is the sensor located?
In the Toyota emblem in the front grill and the spaced out round protrusions in the rear bumper.
Lane change assist cant be turned off. Huge irritation
Even if you turn it off , it comes back on as soon as you restart the car, so a pointless feature

Why so complicated? More a manual setting instead of smart option.
Different in a tundra.
Is it possible to 'Permanently Disable' the very Dangerous LTA system?
Toyota Safety Sense makes no Sense.
Sounded like he was mumbling.
yes and he is talking to fast.
typical, what buttons do you push? without a starting point this whole thing is a waste, show me the buttons, not the screen
Try the arrows on the left-hand-side of the steering wheel to go through the options.
Is it the common sense?
The language should be updated, its misleading when it says turn on or off. It should say temporarily turn on or off. What a shit system.
I'm turning all this garbage off!
Won't it all come back on upon starting the vehicle again?
How do I make the senors volume beep louder i can hardly hear it when I'm close to objects
