So the decade box inbeween the 12v signal from the passenger side motor and ground? How did you figure out what resistance opened and closed or do you just guess? Love these videos!
Hi the decade box was back probed into the passenger switch. Ground and signal wire. I didn't know what the resistance for up or down should be. I turned the resistor knobs until I gat a reaction. Thanks for watching
So you were using a decade box with resisters not putting voltage in to switch but the voltage was changing with the resistance is that right as i understand it thanks fir video
@@mechanicmatt871 as you know this is how it goes. Oem motor went in to the trash bin. Aftermarket fitted. Owner charged for the job. Everybody happy. Spot on job Matt as always. No fix no fee basis. Cheers
Nice one mate! What heat shrink tube connectors did you use? (Sorry slight novice) just seen someone's wrapped tape around the wires on the same location (bodge) gonna do it properly
@@LukePalmerTravelBlogger I find crimp and heat shrink connectors to work better than the heat shrink with solder in the tube. Or solder the wire and slide the heat shrink tube over the solder, on that joint I would use the heat shrink with the sealant inside.
If the back windows don't work and it's not due to a child safety button on the main window switch, I would check the switches for different voltages at the different switch positions, I would check motors work of I power them up directly with a power probe or that the wires near to the door hinges aren't broken
Hello....i have a Skoda Octavia superb 2009 ...2.0 engine .....all the windows didn't working....all inside light didn't work....i try to find the module control to change it but i didn't found it
This guy quietly goes about his work and the man is at the top of his game
Thanks Kevin
I very much agree with you Kevin, good fix Matt 💪💪
No big talk just perseverance and an immense amount of knowledge. One of my favourite channels, keep going Matt.
Thanks for watching and your support

Nice process thanks for sharing Matt
Thanks mate, I hadn't used the decade box to prove a new switch will fix the fault before, it works fine. Thanks for watching

That's correct, thanks for watching
Happy days
Happy owner.
And spare window motor available 😂😊
She hadn't got the original motor , it had the second hand one fitted when I got to it.
I think someone had done some tryagnostics. Cheers Matt

Hi mate I have this exact issue, so was it a case that the wires were broken/snapped? Thanks for uploading this!
It had a broken wire and a broken switch. Thanks for watching

I have a skoda roomster and both windows not working but getting power to the switches as the light up. Do you think one of my wires have split?

Cheers Matt your video certainly helped me
