Moyer chickens are beautiful, produce almost daily in season, and have large to extra large brown eggs with the occasional double yokes. My only problem with them is that the rooster would sometimes become aggressive and want to attack me. Next time I get chickens I will probably get two breeds (Moyer and probably Americana) the rooster will come from the 2nd breed I get. The Americana is also a beautiful chicken and also lays 6-7 green, pink or blue eggs most days. Thank you for the information you shared in this video. It won't be too much longer before I get more chickens and I will put this info to good use.
I had never heard of Moyer chickens but I checked them out and they seem great (except for the aggressive roosters) and they are a great price. I have a two Ameraucanas and a couple of Easter Eggers so I'm thankful to get all the fun colors. I don't have experience with the roosters but the hens are very sweet!
Thankfully they eat whatever is in there within 30 minutes, so there's not too much opportunity for that to happen. Their main food source comes from 2 covered feeders.
I really like the view and the chickens and the turkeys it's paradise...
