Girl, you are not afraid of hard work! I am so impressed with your vision, follow through, and gorgeous results. Mother Nature can be so unpredictable and destructive...sorry that happened. You are awesome❤
Could you put 4 posts in 4 bigger planters to make a new frame where your covered space was? Cement in bottom of planter, flowers on top. Then, choose a top you like.
Thanks for the video🥰😉! I had considered a similar project like this before I purchase the Canopy. I will definitely consider this as an option 👍🏾! Thank you so much for sharing.❤️❤️
I’m so impressed …NOT only did you create a beautiful, peaceful, outdoor space that was partially destroyed by the storm, BUT you didn’t get discouraged and had a wonderful attitude!!! May God bless you always 😇😇😊😊
Awww 🥰 thank you so much for the kind words ❤️❤️. I always try to remind myself to not get upset over things I can’t control🤷🏽♀️. Sometimes God has a bigger and better plan. Thank you so much for watching and sharing and God bless you❤️🤗
I saw your video this morning, thank you for sharing your story, I was so torn when i saw your gazebo, my heart goes out to you. It reminded me of a Mothers Day surprise that I planned for my late mother, I told her that I had a delivery for furniture (10 pieces), but I was at work and needed a place for it to be delivered and asked if my cousin could bring it to her home, she said yes. On the same day, I had my fiance at the time and another cousin show up to her home with the gazebo, he knocked on her door and said, he was hired by me as her contractor with an agreement to build a gazebo as long as I am not on the premises during the build and she would provide refreshments during the build, she agreed and signed the contract( LoL). It was a great surprise to her (I got her good) she had several family and friends gatherings, everyone complemented her on her gift from her daughter and her hospitality. One day I came by and asked her where is the gazebo, she said its out there, i kept looking from inside, window-to-window, I did not see it. I kept looking at her thinking is she playing with me??so, I went outside looking and looking, what I thought was branches by the garage was the Gazebo, (OMG). I came back in and said, Mom, what happened? She said, we had a storm, I said why didn't you tell me, I could of had someone take it down. She just called me by my nickname and said, she did not know, and did not make eye contact. I knew she was upset, I was @#$%^*, but she was hurt and perhaps disappointed in herself, by not calling. I said well its a nice decoration, what are you cooking for breakfast, Im hungry...(Lol, this lady.....). Thank you, this morning for the flashback (tears and joy, thankyou and it will be okay).
Awww 🥰 God bless you for sharing this beautiful memory of your sweet mother ❤️. It’s such a blessing when children can reflect back on the memories of being a blessing to their parents because they did so much for us when we couldn’t do for ourselves 🤗❤️. Thank you again 🤗. This made me smile 😊
You did a beautiful job. I so admire your ideas and hard work. I wish I owned my home I still may use some of your ideas. I'm 65 so it will take me longer, but I love working in the yard. It keeps me mobile.
You did a fabulous job sweetie! You go girl! It was sooo pretty when you finished before that storm.😢 So sorry for your loss but as you said, God is good!☝️🕊️👑🙌🙏 Everything was beautiful and will be again I'm sure!❤
You did an amazing job!! Big Lots have some very strong covered pergolas!! The one I’m buying is $1K. My neighbours have had theirs for 5 years!! After a big snow storm they replaced the fabric & curtains from same company for $70!!! I hope you can get yourself one!! It comes with mosquito netting with zippers & privacy curtains!! 🙌🏻❤️🙏🏻
My neighbor also has one of those from big lots. It's been up for a few years as well. They must be built well because we get some pretty bad storms and high winds.
I just purchased my 4th gazebo for my second story deck. The entry level deck has a fabric awning, walk up a few steps and you’ve walked onto the sunniest place on the planet, however, it’s my own hurricane alley. I lost one to a large snowfall while I was traveling and 2 to the high winds that mysteriously flow through that part of the yard. I just purchased one with a steel roof, it’s a bit more costly but I’ve only gotten 2 years each from the fabric ones. I have an outdoor sectional sofa, a glider and coffee table on that deck. Thankfully, it has not been damaged in the 3 years we’ve owned it. I have a few flower and shrubbery spaces a vegetable garden, a pool , a garden shed and 3 crazy pups. Thank you for the ideas to tie it all together and keep it functional for my best friends.
Thank you for giving GOD the glory HE always deserves. Our GOD is always good. Your backyard turned out lovely. Sorry your canopy crashed. Have fun with your guest in your upcoming event.
Oh No! This happened to me several times. We finally ordered a pavilion from BJ's wholesale. It's heavy enough to withstand pretty bad storms IF you use self-tapping screws and screw on the panels. The pavilion is a good size and heavy but all the reviews complained the roof panels would get ripped off with any wind. That was our solution to the panels coming off in storms. It's been 3 winters in NJ and it's held up to some serious storms with no problem. The yard looks beautiful. Thanks for all the tips.
Carolina, this reminds me of the sing "What a difference a day makes". It was a nice back yard before but now it is Wow. The projects totally transformed the space to lively and inviting. Here is hoping your event was just as delightful.
You created a beautiful backyard retreat. I had the same tent on my deck. A storm demolished the tent. We were shocked when we woke up to see the tent crumbled. We decided never to replace it. All the hard work and time you invested was well worth it. Your backyard is beautiful. I was inspired.
What a wonderful makeover, was so hoping to see your friends and family over to enjoy the space you created. I love your optimism "this too shall pass."
Oh my goodness what a transformation , I think the fence color was beautiful and the shed look so much better, I would have never thought of turning those bricks sideways, awesome. Everything you did was absolutely beautiful…I almost cried when I saw all the damage the storm did. Well back to the drawing board and if you young ones never heard of that it means it’s time to get your hands dirty again. Good luck to you.
I love how you did your backyard space. You did a good job painting and staining the backyard. Also the flower bed. The backyard reveal looks beautiful. I like project number 2 and you have more privacy. Sorry about your canopy getting destroyed by wind. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much 😊! Project #2 was my favorite too 🥰. I was a little disappointed about the canopy but I’m okay now 👍🏾😀. Thank you so much for watching 🤗
You did great painting 😊the gates and the concrete tool Everything looks nice the patio looks great shed I hope your event of hosting your family and friends had a good time. Did you put out any citronella candles sorry the storm made you have to begin again be eating
You did a fabulous job! Every project is beautiful. Showing women that "yes you can" do it too. Great camera and narrating skills. I understand the heat situation. Keep up the good work.
Your patio turned out beautiful after all of that hard work, and oh the damage was heartbreaking, but you are right God is Good... Thankful your home wasn't damaged and everyone was safe..
You did a fantastic job…. My feelings was hurt when I saw what the storm did to your beautiful backyard sanctuary!!! But like you said the best is yet to come.😇
TO GOD BE THE GLORY !!! Everything is still so so beautiful !!! Just move that canopy honey and keep it moving … figure out the time where there is shade back there and still enjoy all your beautiful work … I love it still
Wow!! You did a fantastic job on your backyard makeover!! I know that was a lot of work for one person!! I’m impressed that you removed the brick pavers, leveled the ground, and replaced the pavers again! Most people would have called a landscaper to do that!! The flower bed with the solar lights is my favorite project!! ❤❤❤ blessings to you!! I subscribed!!
Bravo! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I love good DIY projects. You did an awesome job. Sorry about your canopy. Been there before. Every year the Santa Ana winds come through here and tear up my cover on my 10X20 that sits over my driveway. This year the shade cloth I had up there got ripped to shreds. One year I’ll remember to take them down before the end of September. Thanks for sharing 💚
First you’re hard work paid off the outdoor space is FIRE! Now as for that canopy…I have the same one and here are a few things you need to know. 1. Weight the legs down using canopy weights(you know who sells them) 2. Lower the canopy whenever you’re not using it even on nice sunny days LOWER IT. 3. Take it down when summer ends(if that applies to your region. 4. I’m on my second canopy and so far it’s 3 years old. Weight down the legs, lower it when not in use, take it down after summer season. Hope this helps!
Your projects were absolutely gorgeous! I especially liked the way you fixed up your building! Hey girl, you need to just build yourself a cedar gazebo! You look like you can do anything! 💪🏽Wow!🙌🏼
You did such a beautiful job! All that work messed up, but at least everyone is ok. Maybe a wood pergola next time. You’ve given me many ideas for my small patio. ❤
I'm so sorry you had to experience the storm weather for your canopy. Bless your heart. I really enjoyed your video though. All your hard work was well worth it. The painting of the floor did a lot to bring it all together. Congratulations!!
I'm so impressed and inspired by everything you do. I was anticipating the surprise at the end to be your guests reaction. But then my heart just broke for to see what the weather had done. May I add that final shot of you at the end looked absolutely stunning.
Don't be discouraged! Your hard work is very inspiring! Here in NM we have very strong winds(had the same thing happen to our canopy. You are gifted in designing and working your vision. I'm sure you will come up with something beautiful!
Oh my...loved the final look of your patio and can totally relate to how you felt when the storm destroyed your hard work. Perhaps a cover that is a little wider that you can anchor in the concrete or in the ground. Can't wait to see what you do next.
I had my gazebo canopy got destroyed also… so sad! We ended up going with 9’ umbrellas that could be closed, which has been good, but definitely a sad event. Best to you! I love what you’re doing and thankful for the inspiration! 🎉💐
What an amazing job! My favorite is the lattice fence. I also loved the covered patio. So sorry to see it destroyed by the storm. You've inspired me to work on my small backyard.
You did an Amazing job, that was an incredible amount of hard work and it turned out lovely! I thought the surprise was the flashing lights and all the other inviting light but NOooooo!😱
Koodoos for doing such a beautiful job of your space it looks awesome despite the storm wrecking your canopy. Most gazebos you can buy replacement canopies these days if it’s std 10’ x 10’. In the meantime salvage the bug netting & swoop it & some string lights over the metal frame for some ambience & party on!! 🎉🌹
Omg I almost cried at the end. How defeated you must of felt. If I lived closer I would love to come help you fix it up. You have mad skills though you could put permanent post in (like you did in the back) use those post to make a more permanent covered area. Hope that makes sense. Anyway I know you can do!! Good luck sweetie and PLEASE KEEP POSTING!! YOU GIVE ME INSPIRATION!! ❤🎉
Thanks for breaking down the whole yard to smaller tasks. It turned out beautifully. My canopies and umbrellas did the same thing with just one windy day each. I'm thinking of building a pergola next time.
So sorry about your canopy! I know that was so disappointing but like you said, “God is Good”! Thankful that no one was hurt! You did a beautiful transformation on your patio…have some quiet moments with the Lord outside and enjoy it!! Well done!!
I saw that canopy at the beginning and KNEW it wouldn’t hold up to storms! Even a canopy cover on a pergola will have to be taken down before heavy rains, thunderstorms or hurricanes.
It looked like a pop up canopy. We’ve had a fabric canopy for about 10 years and leave it up all summer. The legs are a sturdier material and bolted into the cement patio. We take it down before winter but it’s withstood the strongest summer storms, so far. 🤞🏾
Most people don't realize how great it is to have a great outdoor living area.
I agree
Absolutely agree!
You worked so hard on these projects, it’s a lot of work. I am proud of you. I Love projects. I love privacy fence. But all of them are great.
The same thing happen to our canopy, they are worthless with any wind..high cost, low quality..
It makes me have company more because we can go outside instead of the house ❤
Girl, you are not afraid of hard work! I am so impressed with your vision, follow through, and gorgeous results. Mother Nature can be so unpredictable and destructive...sorry that happened. You are awesome❤
Soo sorry this happened to your beautiful space ,God is good most definitely..better is yet to come ❣️👏🏽

Everything came out beautiful. You are very knowledgable and can build a Pergola.
I bet you can👍🏾
Hey hun. Maybe do 4x4 posts in the ground and then do a sail shade. I know you can accomplish that. Oh bless you. You have such a kind heart.
Awww 🥰 thank you so much for the advice 🤗. Will definitely consider this as an option 👍🏾

I love the way you laid the scalloped edging flat! The paint on the trim really freshened up the storage shed.
Turned out so beautiful! Oh no to the ending 😳. That happened to us twice!!
Great job! It looks wonderful with different spaces to relax before the storm! I can't believe what the storm did to this space!
😮😮😮
You and me both! Thank you so much for watching.
Ready to party. And after the party you will definitely be able to enjoy yourself. Thanks for sharing. I am now inspired to redo my porch area.

That was my favorite project in this video too🥰👍🏾

Oh noooo 😢 I have no doubt It Will Be Better… Thank you for inspiration, looking at my backyard differently now 😌🙏🏽
Oh my...loved the final look of your patio and can totally relate to how you felt when the storm destroyed your hard work. Perhaps a cover that is a little wider that you can anchor in the concrete or in the ground. Can't wait to see what you do next.
Thank you 😊! I have some plans in mind for my patio space, but it probably won’t happen until the fall season. Thanks for sharing 🥰

God love you, hard work.
You did an Amazing job, that was an incredible amount of hard work and it turned out lovely!
I thought the surprise was the flashing lights and all the other inviting light but NOooooo!😱
Aarrgghhh! It looked so beautiful and you did a great job. I’m sure it will still be beautiful for your family gathering sans canopy!
Sorry about the storm, it was beautiful
Yippee! I just saw the front DIY video and now I have this fantastic backyard video! SUPER exciting!
This is what I was looking for!! Same gazebo too!
Your backward looks amazing!!

Awww 🥰 you too kind❤️❤️. Thank you so much for watching and sharing🤗
You did a great job with your outdoor space. It looks terrific.
Thanks for breaking down the whole yard to smaller tasks. It turned out beautifully. My canopies and umbrellas did the same thing with just one windy day each. I'm thinking of building a pergola next time.
Thanks and you're welcome! Same here! I don't think I'll purchase another fabric canopy.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I sorry the storm destroyed the canopy.
Thank you so much 😊. I really appreciate the kind words 🥰❤️.
