I had that 49” ultra wide monitor when it was released, and it was awesome for about a month. When I used it as a duel monitor setup, it was like having two 27” screens side by side. I traded it for a 32” 4K with a faster refresh rate. Way happier with the 32,
I agree. 49" was not good for my eyes and mind, left me feeling strange after each session. 32" is where it's at, easier to concentrate and focus on
Faster refresh rate would be anything above 240Hz.

4k gaming is possible on a 3080, this has less pixels than a traditional 4k monitor this is 5120x1440
I get 110-120 on the original g9 with a 3080 Suprim playing Warzone in max settings. So yeah no where near max refresh rate

Instead of the size of two 27“ monitors side-by-side (which this 49“ essentially is), I would love to see something crazy like two 32“ side by-side in one screen: this would come out to a 64“. *AWESOME*

Got this monitor a year ago and it has changed gaming for me, there's a "before" and "after". Just make sure to upgrade to the latest firmware, it's not even a tip. Just do it.
One of the interesting effects with games, is things for example in the corners, that used to be possible to see without moving the head, is now a 20 degree head swivel away. It's not a game breaker, GUI's of most [good] games can be configured to deal with it, but my in game window config looks different these days.
The value of having half a 27" monitor extra on each side cannot be over estimated, it's a true game changer and it's true for pretty much any game genre.
I've been using windows for 20+ years and I've always had the tool bar horizontal along the bottom, but ever since I got this monitor I've had it vertical to one side. Another side effect is that i basically stopped streaming games on Twitch. I'm not gonna change resolution just to stream and not even i would watch a stream in 32:9 aspect ratio.
