Been looking at getting an LG cloud for a few months and finally have the money for it, almost decided to not get one today then saw your video. THANK YOU. Honestly very helpful, exactly what I was looking for in a review. You somehow covered all the questions I had but wasn't getting from other tech channels or reviewers (which was frustrating to say the least).
That’s awesome I’m so honored I could help with that! I know it can be so frustrating to watch a bunch of videos to get an honest take especially on certain questions and the videos just don’t deliver. Thanks for sharing your experience! Enjoy getting the Cloud! You’ll love it! 😊
So better experience than a iPad mini and controller like G8+? I'm glad you were able to try the G-Cloud. I'm super excited for the new Lenovo Go S. For both streaming and also native games.
Appreciate that bro! I love it for sure but that Legion go s looks like it’ll be sick especially for the installed games. I do think the g cloud is better than an iPad + controller set up. The overall experience is gamer focused with its ui and the controller is obviously built in so it’s one less step to get setup to play. I’d say the same for a comparable Backbone controller set up with a large phone, just much more streamlined with it all built in
@@TheComicBookGamerShow I also just started using the Razer Kishi Ultra with an iPad Mini. It comes with an app called Nexus that simulates console all in one platform like experience. However I think I'll try the G-Cloud soon as well. Until I can preorder the Go S.
I sold my Portal to get the G cloud I only miss the haptics but the G cloud has way more features. I do recommend getting joystick grips because the stock joysticks are flat. You can use the Nintendo switch grips they fit perfectly
Fair point, I love adaptive triggers and the dualsense haptics. However I don’t want to limit my handheld experience to just PlayStation games with the portal vs being able to play other services. That’s just my opinion
It’s so frustrating, It seems to be an issue with the portal only using its best streaming capabilities on certain WiFi channels. I’ve read about multiple people having to call Sony support and being told that they need to do research on testing specific channels on their Wi-Fi router. It just seems silly to me that people have to jump through hoops in many cases to get this first party device to work seamlessly. Whereas other options like yours and pxplay on the g cloud work flawless
Honestly i would only buy a portal if it was the same low latency as the ps5 and had 4k streaming, until then no thanks. My expectations are maybe too high
It’s almost always on sale for $260 on Amazon (like right now and the last month straight) vs the Portal is $200. Literally $60 more gets you WAY more features, it’s so well worth it. Plus that’s only considering getting it brand new, there’s a ton for under $220-230 for a used model.

nothing beats the haptics, adaptive triggers and the stereo sound is great

Nice tip on the Switch grips! I’ll have to check that out
@ no problem, you feel the difference it’s like night and day
No other handheld support adaptive trigger than ps portal.

Let’s not forget downloading apps and surfing the web also emulators for offline play…. I switched from a portal to the g cloud it’s a no brainer
No body cares about adaptive triggers! I’ll rather have the ability to play as many games on as many platforms as possible
@@JayMoney411 I’m with you on that one
Dude! You sold me on the gcloud
Gotchu bro!
I dont get it... chiaki on my ROG ally runs ps5 games beautifully but on my portal it looks so blurry especially when there is movement

A lot right , the switch take completely wrong. It’s the first of its kind to do it
Appreciate you watching! What’s your take on the switch?

That would be so sick ngl would love to see that
4k on small screens is pointles and the lagb isnt even bad
How much??..naa.pass!
