Idk, I think you approached this one a bit negatively. I can’t say I blame you given the price in Canada. If I had bought it at that price then I’d probably also go into it with a more negative mindset as well. Doesn’t seem like you get the value for what it’s worth there. But overall this laptop is much better than what is shown here. The thermals and performance are all a massive step up above other ultrabooks, and not as compromised compared to other 14” laptops as you make it seem. And of course the battery life is much better than comparable gaming laptops or even some other ultrabooks in its category. The 1800p display puts it behind in raw benchmarks (if the resolution is unaccounted for), but at 90W, that GPU still hits 90% of the same performance as thicker laptops. Look at Jarrod’s Tech’s review of this same laptop when he measures QHD gaming performance. It’s right up there with the big boys with similar specs. Of course it’s no 2023 G14 with a 4090, but you simply can’t get performance like this in a laptop this thin and light anywhere else. Also a correction to the keyboard part: the keycaps are bigger than last year’s G14 and have the same travel distance (1.7mm) so it is not a downgrade.
Also I’m not trying to bag on you, I appreciate your reviews and effort. I just think people in the US or regions where this is cheaper will have a MUCH more positive experience with the same laptop. And they already are. Everyone I’ve chatted with who bought one is in love. Outside of potential defects of course, lol.
Actually I have done back-to-back testing on several laptops. You’ll be surprised to see that many business level ultra books are able to match this “gaming laptop”. The issue here is that ASU has decided to piggyback, or perhaps cherry pick the Republic of gamers name, whereas this is a true and true creator laptop. The issue is that creator laptops are just as good as this laptop gaming tasks now. So why would you pay two times as much for this laptop when you can just get some book with the same specs and the same or even better performance for less money This issue becomes increasingly when you are looking at the 4080 and 4090 models of this laptop, which perform pathetic for their reported gaming class, specifically because they are not gaming laptops anymore. They are creator laptops that can game, this is made increasingly evident by the significantly reduced cooling capacity, and Dramatically reduced wattage.

I feel bad that yours came with that horrible McAfee sticker lol
Yeah that comes off lol. MASSIVE sticker
I traded in my M3 Pro for the G14 (2024) huge mistake the battery life is around 2:30-4 hours even with the display set at 60hz and it is almost always hot. The 16GB soldered ram is always at 85%+.
Eco mode on silent lasts 7-10 hours with very little heat.
I shouldn’t have to run a $1400 laptop in eco mode
This reads “ I bought a $1400 laptop and do not know how to use it”
@@joeschafer6414Yeah definitely you probably have a Chromebook
WIll this run world of warcraft?
Easily
@@TechGuyBeau thank you for confirming. I went out and purchased it
DUDE SAID CREATORS NOT GAMERS DUDE THATS WHY THERES THE PRO ART IF YOU CREATOR JUST GET THE PRO ART PX13 OMG ITS A GAMING LAPTOP
No it’s a creator laptop. That can game. It’s okay, you’ll live.
Gaming laptops focus on cooling, and don’t put in low wattage GPUs. This performs no different than another creator laptops, and much below gaming laptops
It’s best to not fanboy for a company
High pitched voice
And nasal as well.
💯 Asus is the best for laptops across the board 💯
