Love your videos but this one is sooo long and drawn for such a new and hot product. I just enjoyed it because of the excellent explanations and video quality. If you make the content half its current length it will be more enjoyable. I just wanted to see you fly dude! 😅
Thanks for the feedback, I do tend to make longer videos :D for that exact reason I put "Skip to..." in the description. However, saying that, your feedback is duly noted :)
Fellow drone fan. Just passed P107 test today and looking to start working for myself. Been flying a Mavic 3 Pro recreationally and want the Avata 2 for indoor footage. Good luck on your journey. I'll be lurking over here cheering you on. :P
Man this really helps. I've been considering to get the Avata 1 but after this video, i think the little price difference doesn't justify the difference in quality so I guess it is worth the extra money. I am in France and disappointed with all the poor comments on the bad signal the Avata has. I am glad I found your video. Thanks
No way I’d consider an Avata 1, this thing is such a joy to fly, and use the HAM file that is on the internet, I’m flying through gaps and houses no problems :)
@@clifais_media not sure I will do the hack cause i do not want to loose the warranty on a new device that expensive (to me). Thanks, i need to think about it really well.
I'm so happy I waited to jump on the FPV bandwagon until the second generation DJI Avata was out. I got it as soon as it came out and I'm very impressed by it. Certainly a step up from the Mavic Pro I was using the last 7 years. :) Excellent video. Good to see that range test.
Hey man. Thanks so much for this video. I really like the way you filmed everything and I hope you do more videos and updates on the Avata 2! I have a couple of questions. When do you think the FCC hack will be available? Do you think the avata 2 is capable of comfortably flying inside of building? I am asking this because I plan on buying one and using it to film interiors of companies and real estate, and when I see that you start losing signal the moment you go behind a tree... That kinda scares me 😕 To be fair I am very very much a beginner in anything drone related... But losing that much signal 100m away when you get behind a tree is kinda concerning, or am I just tripping? I already did a lot of research and asked plenty of people about the avata 2, and most of them told me that it is pretty capable of filming indoors, that apparently the FCC hack works and that it can get like 1km range even when there are objects in the way... But I don't know if I can believe them now... Maybe the FCC hack (if it works) will make the signal better... Again, thanks a lot for the video and I hope you respond 😁 Cya!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Here's my short take on these: 1. FCC Hack - not sure when, the community needs to find a workaround, and I suspect with the EU being stricter this year with changes fully in effect, DJI might consciously police this exploit. 2. Real estate, not an issue, especially if your drone dynamically switches channels for stronger penetration, just make sure you are near enough the home somewhere hidden from the footage being recorded 3. There's less risk when filming indoors, as opposed to nature/landscape, so if you are filming indoors, just reposition if you struggle with signal and make sure nobody is in danger. Best of luck, hope to see your real estate stuff soon!
FCC unlock can be achieved on the Avata 2 in CE regions by using Drone Tweaks and also the HAM file in the goggles 3 sd card. Mads Tech put out a couple of videos about it a few days ago. 👍
I bought mine - haven't gotten it yet... will in a couple days - but do you know if there is a 'follow me' mode? Kind of an 'auto pilot' like the Mavic series has? Thanks.
I really appreciate your real life experience review which is more useful for me than any paid influencer reviews out there! I would like to ask kindly if you can take a look at Avata2 max altitude if it is limited to 120m only and if you can or cant climb to 500m as it is possible with Avata1?
I didn't even keep track of time while watching the video! Persons who are complaining about the length, you can listen in the background while doing other things and momentarily look at what he's showing. Great video!
Potentially, not a problem out in the fields, more in built up areas, but I've flown it a lot more since this video and definitely noticeable improvement!
nice video - got mine yesterday but really not sure if I want to even unbox it. Advertising up to 10km of range in the EU and then having problems after 400m is kind of a joke.
Trust me, I'm loving this thing, the Avata and Avata 2 will need a little getting used to, you need to be near the action anyway and need to plan more, but the feeling of flying them is unmatched. I wouldn't miss it, also just uploaded another video where you can see me flying it from a fair distance, not even a single bar dropped and I had houses, power lines and body of water with trees.
Looks like no frame in the camera when you break the drone like the avata and you can unlock the fcc mode when you put ham file in the goggle 3 sd card ,but this range not bad if ce mode ,avata one no near this range.

No, that’s the D-Log M output you see in the goggles. I purposefully left it like that :) thanks for watching!

not a switch, probably not. But a hack, yes, and if you want to go back to CE, you format your goggles.
