Sony CF cards are trash. They are higher priced and lower capacities than standard CF cards. How long have you been into photography and videography? People have been saying how bad Fuji and Nikon autofocus is. All cameras are good for something but no camera is good for everything.. Don’t most cameras have a 4K 60 Crop I know the latest Canons have 4K 60 no crop but they make their own sensors just about everyone else uses Sony’s sensors. If you want to operate a remote camera get a camcorder
I need a near perfect all rounder, sony tough cf cards are exactly that, tough, but slow, and angelbird is my choice of brand, they now have a cf express type a new gen that is double the speed and the a1mk2 supports that standard :) 4k60 no crop is almost a standard now, the fuji had it and all other flagships have it at this point :)
why do u do studio work with a corpsensor🤡 also if u shoot on a tripod why can't you manually focus??
I need an all rounder now, if you watch the video again you may hear me say, this was not my profession not long ago :) now that I get all sorts of requests, I need more versatility :) and in a press scenario where you need to run around to interview people, i prefer to be mobile and need to be quick! Not a second to waste, hence why I need rock solid AF and cant use a tripod!
"All these content creators leaving Fujifilm" wait excuse me? Same people who jumped into the bandwagon the moment the camera gained traction and views. We get it. Same ones who want the same thing and betting on the algorithm that such "content" will be shared across the platform. People need to realize that we don't care if you buy this brand or you are throwing it away. We indulge every whims and sometimes we fall prey to the same people. Even if you get those sought after professionals to say this and that, in the end, the camera and the person behind it gets the total experience. No matter what they are holding in their hands. So please, give yourself a chance to veer away from the mediocrity and get out of the bandwagon. You said it yourself.
Good call, I'm not in any way an influencer, hence why I bought the fuji and 7 lenses with it, despite the majority sticking with the big three for work, that's what most were saying at the time of my purchase, but as I tried to communicate, if one's career is dependent on this, fuji is not showing an upward trajectory :(
@@clifais_media wdym they aren't making any progress? The company kept releasing new devices last year and they are still prepped up to bring more devices this year. I am only engaging you not because I am a fanboy but because I've seen your other videos and hold you up in high regards than the rest who conformed to this debacle.
I appreciate you! Fuji currently makes a huge chunk of its income on consumer products not professional camera bodies and lenses, their strategy is sticking with small consumer cameras and it will take a few more years to see if they reach the big camera company level, my worry is software, data science and simply resource management related...they don't have enough IT firepower to step into the big league in my opinion, that's what I meant. :)
Absolutely brilliant video. I'm also fully into the Fuji system but will gradually separate myself from it. how come? AF is not acceptable, especially with a camera that has a stacked sensor. As soon as you want to work something more professional and the shot really matters, Fuji will let you down. Fuji cameras are like the first bike you ride, you love it but as soon as you grow up to it you get something decent. Of course Fuji has some great features, film simulations and co. But now others have it too! I just say Panasonic LUT's! The only thing I will miss is the ability to use beautiful Viltrox lenses. Although they also exist for Sony and if the rumors are to be believed, Viltrox also wants to join the L-Mount alliance. This will make life even harder for Fuji. I can't quite go along with the “as a hobby photographer go for fuji” thing, even with hobby shoots with friends or simple portraits it's sometimes really frustrating when the camera tells you: yes, I have the eye in focus, pull the trigger! but then in post-processing you see that the picture or the focus wasn't even close to the eye. and all the hardcore fuji fanboys who then say yes you have to adjust this and this and this and then you have to do a handstand, turn in a circle three times and then the pictures will be sharp. It's 2025, I don't want to have to do an internship at fuji so that I can work around the mistakes of the AF. Just a system that works. Nobody asks for more.
The more options the better, right? I would love to try Lumix, but it has downfalls too, I need a solid money making machine I guess :) thanks for the feedback!
@@clifais_media I don't think Panasonic will let you down like that with their S5ii. The only drawback I have with the camera, for example, is that it doesn't accept cfexpress type b but only normal SD cards. But otherwise this is the "sleeper camera" of the last 5 years. Cheap, lots of features, now good AF.Simga as a native manufacturer without limitations (not like Sony) it's clear who 24 MP is not enough (for whatever reason since you mostly watch content on cell phones or PCs and not on huge billboards ) The camera is not for that, but even in landscape photography the thing is a bank with the upscaling bbnis to 96 mp on a camera FF sensor. As far as I know, no one else can.
Will never say no to trying new brands, if that's the case will definitely do a video about it! @IJAY2509
Very informative video. Thanks for making it.
Thank you for watching! :)
I moved from sony system after 10-12 years to fuji due to having back issues. the AF on fuji isn't better than the sony camera's that I've used . But I honestly have no issues for the work that I do. I've done a ton of weddings with the fuji system in 2024 and sports photography both gave me great results.
PASM enjoyers and autofocus needers leaving Fujifilm isn’t a huge loss, it’ll bring after market costs down for the rest of us which’ll be nice
If at any point fujifilm will bring down costs because I'm leaving, I will pop a bottle of champagne for the rest of y'all 😄
Also let us know your experience with other cameras.
Will do, recorded evf footages and files in editing currently. :)
All fair complaints as far as I'm concerned. You highlighted the main issue I face, multiple people. Fuji currently worked hard to fix AF with a single subject in front of the camera (a TH-camr), but once you introduce a second subject its game over... In Multi you can actually nudge the joystick to flit between the subjects, but there is no chill, it still gets nervous after a few seconds and darts to the other person. It is simply not good enough. What is the point of allowing the user to nudge the joystick to another person in the frame if after 2-3secs it darts back to the other subject. It's UNFINISHED work, given up, plain and simple. There's no point in having these features if they are not implemented sensibly. So I think with XH2S cameras, it is not really well suited to solo creators, running and gunning. Those that fully rig out their cameras, using manual focus glass, story telling (can do multiple retakes), its fine and quite good, but for the solo event worker where retakes are not possible and we seek out greater support in AF, better suited elsewhere.
I agree, also we haven't talked about touch tracking and how one can still flick the tracking box from one end of the scene to the other by waving my palm in front of the camera 😄
i moved from fuji before it started to have these issues because to me, the problem was that weight, size and prices started to be similar to full frame. Guess i dodged a bullet regardless.
I love it when people generalize and say "dont use XXX for professional work" without giving any guidance as to what they consider "professional work", which is a very broad pallette actually... Sure it may not be for you, that's fine.. But your conclusion is a bit vague with no content, If the viewer has no track record of who you are.. Its bit like saying "I cant get to work in my Prius because work is on a hill, so no one should drive a Prius."
That's good feedback, I recommend checking out my webpage, same name with a dotcom at the end, I work in press/news and advertising for small and medium businesses :) Lot of my recent work I can't publish because it's govt. related. The point of my video was, anything press related where you have 1 shot at capturing the truth, do not recommend fuji.
Have you actually watched the video?
@BelowZero yes. I'm talking about the conclusion on its own.. I'm not nagging though.. it's pretty damn hard to do a one piece unscripted talk and have it all thought out.
I definitely feel you on this one. I started doing photography in 2017 on a X100T. That camera was so fun, it made me fall in love with photography. But through all the professional Fuji cameras I’ve owned (XPro3,XT2,XT3,XT4,XH2s) autofocus has always been a limiting factor in its usability. When I’m getting paid, my Sony A1 or A74 is in my hand. I never have to worry about missing focus. I hold onto my Fuji gear for nostalgia and fun. Fuji for street photography and family vacation, Sony for work.
Quite literally hundreds of peple's story.
It always fascinates me that people have issues with auto focus. On my xh2s I’ve never had huge issues. As far as interviews and autofocus I never rely on autofocus. I just stop down the aperture and lock off the focus on an interview.
That's fair, however, I think the zone/multi/area focus modes are also extremely unreliable or small, with subjects moving around I can't be on a gimbal and manually focus for a 3-4 minute interview...I also feel like for 2500 usd it should be reliable. With an apsc crop I dont like to go beyond f4 because ISO will produce too much noise for my liking. With Sony and Nikon bodies I am more comfortable going beyond 2.8, but I totally agree with you otherwise.
sure, that's a solution but it is also a compromise... in 2025 you shouldn't have to stop down, you should be able to be wide open with full AF-C and it should just be rock solid. all the "fixes" of using AF-S, predicting for the camera where the subject will be, stopping down, locking focus etc. are all sloppy fixes for something that should just work.
hi, I was about to buy the product for a graduation present for a friend of mine who has an X-H2S. So you're saying that the problem won't be solved, or isn't solvable at all? Could you explain to me, since I don't understand much about cameras, what the two problems are in the simplest way possible. Thank you in advance for your reply.
There are smart functions in the DJI RS3 and RS4 series stabilisers that will not work with any recent Fujifilm cameras, UNLESS the 2 companies work together. I have reached out to both and it is currently not in the plans. DJI does not have to run after Fujifilm and Fujifilm has far bigger issues on their plate right now. It is still a great stabiliser for smaller setups and will work as a stabiliser, just no connection to the camera, but I personally would get something with stronger motors, an auto lock function and better balancing possibilities as the roll axis is a major pain to balance due to the metal material, other DJI gimbals that have carbon fibre arms slide easier.
I do agree. I’ve had some similar experiences. For smaller jobs and just casual use it’s been fine. But for larger projects that’s when the reliability becomes an issue. I started using manual only because of it. As for the support on software and hardware it’s been disappointing. I had my camera go in for repairs and it took almost 2 months and then when I got it back the hdmi port didn’t work anymore. They fixed it for free but for me that’s when it killed Fuji for me. And then Panasonic and Nikon doing constant software updates that work and continue to improve existing cameras makes me want to move to those brands.
So sorry to hear the awful experience...can relate! Let's hope they focus on these pitfalls, because they could easily make an incredible brand!
Love fuji which is always why i have one in my bag (some version of x100 because i dont want to invest in lenses). But for work we run an fx3, fx30 and a7iv. Coming from using the old Sony Fs line i dont think i can go back to shooting video with bodies that dont have an internal fan.
Agree with every word! 🙏
The A7iv has no internal fan and overheats like crazy
I’ve owned a TON of Fuji cameras but currently own zero . I did just pre-order the xm5 as a small edc . I agree their af is not on par with the competition and I never found it reliable when I have ran an xt5 or xe4 as a b cam . So now i have 2 a7iv’s , nikon zf for hobby stuff and the xm5 will be used for the times I don’t want to being the zf with a big lens . Idk if you use the Fuji you have for any fun stuff other then work but you may miss it .
Your loss I guess. I hope you enjoy your new journey. I am sticking with Fujifilm and I am not a fanboy.
I simply need more reliability in autofocus and a company that has a stable presence in my region, I think it's still a great consumer brand :)
They got hardware down, and the old software was fine, painful to see how they messed up on the professional grade software. Speaking hobby, fuji is the only brand to get me motivated to shoot. Been thinking of a Nikon Zf or something along those lines, but film simulations and Fuji color makes me stay. Get an X-E3 for family stuff, much cheaper, you wont regret it.
Wholeheartedly agree, that's why I think I will eventually get an x100 series for just 35,50,70mm and film sims. Thanks for watching!
Not sold on the hardware quality for the price compared to say the auf. They are worlds apart.

Thank you for your utmost honesty as an Apple ex-employee and iOS user. I really enjoyed your review, and I instantly subscribed to your channel! I switched from the iPhone to go fully into the Samsung ecosystem about 2 years ago just because of the awesome Z Fold phone. My wife and I are still using our Fold4's within a Samsung ecosystem (watch + buds). Even though our Fold4's are older than the Fold6, they still work phenomenally great even after about 2 years of use.
Thank you so much, Fadi! Welcome :)
How's the z fold working for you my friend?
I made the best decision buying it! With one UI7 coming soon it will get even better!
I love mine as well. Keep the videos coming. Thanks
That stadium in Budapest, looks suspiciously very similar to the stadium in London, that hosted the 2012 Olympics 😉
I’m trying to decide between the iPhone 16 pro max and the z fold 6. Do you recommend the z fold over the iPhone? And is the z fold going to be your daily driver now.
Thanks for watching! Depends, if the smartphone is your main camera, the iPhone will do better, if you live in a fully Apple ecosystem and rely on handoff, universal clipboard etc. And can't live without them, go for the iPhone. For ALL other scenarios, the Z fold 6 is the real deal! Yes it is my daily and I love it ;)
Wow, I had the exact same issue with my xt3. I had to downgrade the firmware to a specific version to fix it.
Glad you got it fixed, that confirms my suspicion that Fujifilm was the one to blame for this...Unfortunately it doesn't fix X-H2s models.
Is it hard to downgrade because I just bought it...dji's website said it was working fml
It really is more of a fuji thing...DJI has always worked with other brands and fuji needs to patch this as they are the ones that deviated from the initial agreements
wow thanks for posting. was about to buy the mini for my xs20. not sure what to do now.
Get a Zhiyun gimbal, Fujifilm is unlikely to care about this they are super focused on releasing cameras...
@@clifais_media do they work better with fuji?
Same issue for me, absolutely hate it.
Completely unaccaptable, really...
Nice video, man. Condense this down to 15 mins and you have a real winner.
Deal! I actually considered scrapping the whole thing whilst editing, actively working on it, though! Thanks :)
Always check the compatibility list for things that are supported and sny issues.
The RS3 Mini was working with my cameras until Fujifilm updated the firmware further, really frustrating!
@@clifais_mediawitch version Of firmware I have to use?
great
So you never found out whether the goggles throw you back to the main menu when signal is lost - because you never lost signal over 2.5km?
Not exactly, that happened on that one instance, never before, never after.
Works fine with my old Zhiyun crane
Yeah, figures…
Since the X-H2s firmwares have not been getting better, might as well just downgrade the firmware on the camera.
A sad reality I might have to live with, yeah...

Interesting perspective. I have both bodies and they both rock! The A9 III is a beast in terms of speed and although 24 mp, the IQ coming out of this system is IMO incredible. To be honest I have hardly used my A7RV because I enjoy shooting the A9 III so much. I like you thought of the A1 and maybe waiting for the second generation version but ultimately in the end decided to go for both of these bodies instead. No regrets. People tried to convince me to buy an A1 but I could not see paying full price for a camera that is over 4 years old and with old technology. Although it's a great system, the AF and form factor of the newer bodies is much better IMO. There is no real clear timeline as to whether Sony will release a refresh of the A1 anytime soon but I really don't know if it's really feasible for them to do a global shutter with such a high MP. The cost it seems would be prohibitive. The A9 III IMO is the perfect camera in the sense that it resolves the rolling shutter issues and provides flash sync which in itself is a great thing! The 24 MP? Negligible, especially if you're just posting to social media like I am. I got the A7RV mainly for my future interest in landscape, astral and portrait photography where maybe the detail is more desirable. But to be honest? I really love the images coming out of my A9 III. Thanks for your insight and perspective. I've been a Sony shooter for years and doubt I would ever switch as I have so many of their lenses which in tandem with their systems produce amazing images! I shot with an a6000 for years and graduated to an A7 IV for another 3 or so years. Shooting mainly wildlife and my kids events, such as swim team and band. I sold my trusty A7 IV and moved up to these current systems and have loved it so far. If the A1 Mark II ever comes out who knows what it will bring. Perhaps at that point depending on my needs I may consider it but for right now I'm very happy with these 2 systems you've reviewed. Cheers!
Amen to that! I can’t wait to see what legendary Sony sensor they put in the updated flagship, but for sure the a9III is addictive! Also, your decision makes complete sense, 2 bodies > 1 workhorse!
Not really. I don’t like the bokeh at all. Looks like a cut out from a cardboard or someone just slapped gaussian blur into the background. The fall off ain’t natural. I’d still stick to the native lenses.
I see your point but for some reason, I still love the images it gives me…🙂
I’ve seen this thing go at least 2 miles out.
IT WORKS! DJI Avata 2 with HAM file FCC mode Range test part II th-cam.com/video/ztUqk95Xtr0/w-d-xo.html It certainly does :))
Just fuji no sony mount?
Fuji, Sony and Nikon mounts, but keep in mind it is an APSC Lens, so 113mm full frame equivalent! Sony also got a recent 16mm f1.8 from viltrox that’s amazing!
i have from viltrox both the 85 1.8 and the 56 1.4. i am thinking of trading those two for the 75 1.2...
Do it! The 75 can be tight at times, but the 1.2 and swirly bokeh are so worth it!
my favotie shot is at @15:35
Thanks! The swirly bokeh is killer too! I can’t stop using this lens!
I got mine out of the box 3km away without any problems. As for the signal of yours i had exactly the same.
I'm in love with my Avata 2. I'm way out in the country, USA and I can fly out miles.....great vid. 😊
Amazing machine! I started using it for real estate too! Thanks for watching!
Nem probalod a Manual modot? Biztos sokkal elvezetesebb.
Fogom, csak 6 honapja nem szimulatoroztam, de mar megjott azota az Rc3 :)
Just get to the point already, we don't want your whole life story
Thanks for the feedback! It literally says in the description “skip to…” but I’ll keep your comment in mind :) I think context is important.
