The DJI AVATA 2 Review - DJI just released the Avata 2 along with the O4 transmission system and Goggles 3. I have put the Avata 2 to the test and pushed it to its limits on my recent trip to Indonesia and have to admit that the Avata 2 is an absolute game changer for FPV pilots like myself and for FPV beginners as it flies longer, further and better than any other drone I own.

Your footage is absolutely INSANE!! I've had my Avata 2 for a week and I love it, though I haven't flown anything more interesting than my yard and local neighborhood. Seeing what it's capable of in the hands of a pro inspires me. Subscribed immediately - can't wait to see more!
Amazing man, appreciate the love! Dope to hear you enjoying yours so far. Definitely helps to fly in epic locations I get you. I am sure you'll be sending it beyond your yard real soon. At least you have a great excuse now to plan a holiday :) Cheers for the sub bro
Slightly overexposed. Just how i like it.
You see so many pro's on youtube obsessing over the histogram and being terrified if 1 pixel is auto-detected as being overexposed.
But in reality, a slightly overexposed image is what gives warmth and heat to the experience.
Follow your gut, not artificial tools. This dude obviously follows his gut.
Ordering this tomorrow! Probably what I get to do with it to start.

Thats was Awesome
Not gonna lie... This should be the DJI's official promotional review for the AVATA 2! Insane Video mate. Congrats
Puhhhh that’s amazing feedback thanks so much 🤩
@@fabreezy_editing is hitting bruv🔥
Ya, this pretty much sold me 100% on which drone I'll buy in the future.
One of the better Avata 2 review videos that I've seen so far - obviously a beautiful environment too!
Thank you, what made it stand out for you ? 🙌🏼
I like the variety of different tests and environments - typically I 'scroll' through a video but this one I watched entirely. You've clearly put effort into this. There are many levels of content creating these days. And at 7:54, I was laughing out loud with you guys! 😂
I think it's about time to order an Avata 2 now, after seeing a few dozen review videos. I have an AIR 3 and I'm looking to get into FPV; I'm on the fence to either buy a 'real freestyle FPV' or this one, but for a FPV beginner like myself the DJI will probably give me the easiest and safest introduction to FPV flying.
I second that. This is one of the best videos so far I have seen since the released date. I’m in the same boat as you, own an Air 3 and looking to jump into fpv. It’s high time to get one of these! Have fun!
@@nisaljayy For sure - cheers, mate!
Avata2 is beautiful, but the shots, angles, transitions, sounds and editing... Man, your videos are cinematic masterpieces 🎉
Thanks so much man, I really appreciate it 🙌🏼
If DJI doesn't sponsor you yet ,no one else deserves it.
No yet but fingers crossed in the future :)
You speak the truth
The production on this video is really good, impressive. This drone is next lvl for sure.
Appreciate it :)
wow! just wow! The footages are insane!
Thanks so much :)
Great review. Real world scenarios. Was on the fence about getting the Avata 2…but this confirmed my instincts. Getting the Avata this week!
Amazing dude, glad you like it! make sure to use my (affiliate) link in the description 😁
one of the best videos iv seen about avata 2
Thank you so much :)
Best Avata 2 video yet, I’m sold.
Appreciate it man !!!
Awesome flying, editing and information. It's great to see the drone being used to It's full potential while also describing how a new flyer can also utilize this tool.
thanks so much, that was exactly the point of the video so great to hear you found it helpful :)
Amazing footage, keep up the amazing work!
Thank you! Will do!
I love this review It is absolutley on 🔥keep on going!
Thank you! Will do my man 🙌🏼
Bro thanks for making this video, its really good point of view from a person who always fly traditional custom fpv drones. And it was great experience doing this project together bro 🤙
Thanks so much brother. Was so good to catch up again and fly together. Really appreciate your support in this video and for making sure my drone was dry before the next flight haha. Can’t wait to fly again 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥
Awesome video!! really liked the way you explain things and the footages taken at the right places to show how cool this drone is. Im buying it this week!! 🤩🤩
Amazing man that's so good to hear, make sure to use my affiliate link please :)
Hey thanks for your video it was incredibly perfect. I have a question when you put luts on your videos you put in addition to the REC709 or you put on the raw rush without REC709 ? by the way this Daylight lut is incredible, I am gonna buy it GG. And where were these rushes shot? And Gyroflow or native stabilization ? I want to know everything haha (maybe my english is not perfect I am sorry for that)
Great video man!!! loved it. You did a brilliant job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
looks like I must upgrade to this once they enable compatibility with the older goggles and controller
Yeah fair call!
outstanding review! very helpful!
Awesome that’s great to hear man 👊🏽
Mate ...Your video is absolutely stunning! I'm only starting on a mini 3 and looking forward to go for a fpv when I will gain more skills.
However. You've made me confident into thinking that the Avata 2 must be my next drone. 😌
Thank you for this video and all the best from France. ✌️
Appreciate it bro ur so welcome :)
Awesome video! Lots of good information over amazing shots! I have the DJI Air 2S and love it but looking forward to jumping into fpv with the Avata 2. Thanks for more inspiration!
Glad it was helpful appreciate it man!
Great video! I was debating about picking up the Avata 2, but your video convinced me to order it! Epic footage!
Awesome dude, that’s great to hear! Make sure to use my affiliate link in the description 😀👊🏽
Beautiful and stunning! Great video. Keep it up 👍
Thank you! Will do!
Those views are incredible! Really nice reviews and flying 👏
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏽
Great review with stunning sample footage.
Glad you enjoyed it
Incredible footage, was looking forward to this video. Especially showing how flying is never going to be crash free when pushing those limits. For myself I enjoy playing around with my mini 3 and with little skills in the video editing just yet. Look forward again to seeing your future work as I hadn't really appreciated fpv drones before and there shooting capabilities.
Awesome man, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah you definitely gotta risk for the biscuit sometime. Are you going to try FPV for yourself ?
You play around with Mini? 🤣 wtf you mean it’s a GPS drone for pensioners that can give his 10 year old granddaughter a go over his allotment or summer house😂. You can’t play with it, it’s basically a hanging camera not a drone.
@@fabreezy_ It's something I would like to try. I've had more experience in flying for data collection and research rather than content and media.
@@SLOSHPLOPjust chiming in here, I've built and flown my own FPV craft for 5 years now. I just got back from 6 weeks in Thailand, I took my iFlight 5inch Nazgal Evoque V2 and a GEPRC Cinebot30, Dji Integra goggles and my Mini 3 Pro and its dildo controller as backup. Now the licence requirements in Thailand are very intimidating but I managed to Licence my iFlight and my Mini 3, but due to crowded conditions the iFlight was difficult to fly safely, who wants to spend time in the Bangkok Hilton, right? I resorted to flying the Mini 3 Pro in FPV mode using the dildo control, I have to say it was excellent, so much fun and really quite capable for the cinematic flights with the exception of no acro mode, so no dives. Don't knock old faithful mate I had that little brother 2km out over the sea in FPV sport mode filming islands.
Excellent Digi short, Thank you!
Happy Flying
Cheers 🙌🏼
good dynamic video, a lot of emotion and positivity, well shot
Thanks so much, appreciate it !!!
stunning work man
Thank you 🤩
Superb Job 🫡👏🏽💪🏽As Always Fabreezy 🔥🔥🔥

Great demo of Avata 2, Fabreezy. I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
Appreciate it man, glad you enjoyed it! Merci beaucoup 🙌🏼
Just got the Avata 2 and loving it so far!! Amazing drone!
Great to hear man, its such a great drone!
This is a killer review and I enjoyed it. I love how you back it up ASAP hahaha. My avata 2 is coming soon and i'm excited since it'l be my first fpv
Thanks so much dude, awesome to hear you loved it! Yeah I always back up my stuff in sketchy locations haha
@@fabreezy_ I bought 2 64gb microsd just cuz of you in case I don't have a backup I can swap my sd cards 😂
Incredible footages!Lovely color grading,Superb review! Love the fact that you didn’t dive into extreme technical stuff in this video and just soothing footages.I would like to know if this drone would be preferred for FPV shooting for movies/documentaries etc?
Thanks so much. That was exactly the goal, less technical more epicness haha definitely suitable for any shots.
Wicked video man. You have inspired me to really take my Avata 2 further!
Hell yeah amazing dude thanks so much
Superb.....never knew I needed a drone until now.....!!!
Haha that made my day, clad I could help!
I’m speechless! 🎉 just bought my Avata 2, never tried FPV before, I’m about to, in the next couple of days , until then I watch LOADS of youtube tutorials.I know its a long learning curve but by far, your video made me feel inspired to train myself and to take risks! Editing is spot on! Subscribed and I will consider the luts! Praying for some good weather in England😂
Mate you going to loooooooove it. Congrats on the purchase!!! Thanks so much, glad you liked the video :)
Beautiful footage 🌴🌅🌊
Thanks :)
And let's say welcome to WONDERLAND INDONESIA 🇮🇩
Thank you 🙌🏼
Wow. Insane Video, Planes and avata2.
Thank you 🤩
Your Avata 2 footage is by far is the best I've seen so far, others reviewer has crappy quality even viewed in 4k quality, hopefully you also do some video on how you edit your Avata 2 video
Wow, thanks! I have another video coming with the best settings to use for the avata 2 stay tuned :)
Bro the quality after the colour grading is insane imma get the drone definitely
Thanks bro appreciate it 🙏🏽
Love this look at how it all comes together! Definitely getting one soon! May have to wait on the upgraded controller (for budgeting reasons) but at least I can get used to the motion controller first!
Amazing thanks so much :)
This video is WAY better than the DJI avata launching video itself. Really well done here brother!
As a filmmaker I can also tell you have what most fpv pilots have which is a true cinematic flying style.
Keep it up 🔥
Thanks so much Alex, I really appreciate it legend
Congrats. Amazing.
Thank you :)
Hopefully getting one soon!! Amazing shots! W video!!
Thanks!
Amazing footage and review and what a beautiful places! It inspired me to purchase my own and Ooo boy what a purchase, it is so intuitive and user friendly using the motion controller, i could not remember when is the last time i had sooo much fun like this (coming from a guy who never flown any drone before and jump straight to avata 2 🤣🤣)
That's so dope to hear man, good luck with it all :)
Awesome review, which I thank you for. Have been thinking of buying the avata 2 which now watching your video has confirmed it worth it.
Just asking what stabilising program did you use dji rocksteady or gyro flow?
Awesome glad I could help! Make sure to use my affiliate link in the description 😄 I use Gyroflow which will get you the best results!
Excellent footage and locations! Nice to see what the Avatar 2 is capable of as I just took delivery of mine a couple of hours ago and everything is charging. I've never flown FPV let alone used a motion controller so I'm looking forward to getting the drone into the air.
Thank you for an inspirational video!!
Awesome, and congrats on the purchase. You going to love it man! Make sure to practice a little bit in the sim before you fly outside. It flies completely different compared to a mavic. Good luck :)
This is great … no need to scrub through.. great video from beginning to end
Appreciate it man 🙏🏽
Great video dude, loving some of the shots. Gotta ask are you flying in manual full acro mode for some of those shots. the waterfall one has some epic rise, dives and orbits, but just seems so fluid. did you ramp the speed in post too? or is that its actually speeds? cheers man :)
Thank bro! Most of the shots have been taken in full acro yes and shots have not been sped up :)
very underrated channel. Amazing video. Subscribed
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate the sub 🙌🏼
This is sick bro 🔥🔥
Thanks so much !!!!
Great video and appreciate the thorough description of the capability of the drone and showing it in action. Question... When you were doing the shoots by the waterfall area, were you using the joystick during that time or the normal controller? P.S. Mine will arrive Tuesday and I'm so pumped!
Grazie mille Michael! The only shots taken on the joystick were the ones at the rice fields, at the bamboo villa and one at the first volcano. You going to love yours 🤘🏽
@@fabreezy_ anche a te! Mi piace il tuo video tanto!😀
incredible
Thank you!
Seeing this just confirmed, I made the right choice! Love my Avata 2. Hated the 1st motion controller but liking this new one.
Epic!!! Glad I could help 😄
Btw I I said it before, I'll say it again. You're content & adventures are AMAZING & truly inspiring!!! I still enjoy flying my gps drones, but I absolutely love my fpv!! Esp since watching you master it!!! GREAT JOB ❤😊
This was expertly produced. Well done
Thank you :)
hey man great footage. couple of questions:
- did you use any ND filters for the shots?
- what settings did you pick
- how did you stabilize the footage? In drone settings or post?
- yes ND filters used
- watch my best settings to see which settings I used
- Gyroflow
Insane video, I’m subbing.
Thanks man 🙌🏼
Stunning footage mate, great locations & skilful flying. 😲😎👍
Can you please recommend a good power brick that charges the Avata 2 - two way charging hub with 3 batteries?
Thanks man! I am actually on the lookout for one too. Generally the bigger the better I guess but the problem is if you plan boarding a plane with it there will be a limit. I had a 20000mah with me and it charged 3 batteries
@@fabreezy_ Thanks for that.
A 20,000mah sounds perfect.
I'm new to the drone world and I'll have my first ever flight with this baby very soon.
Should be a lot of fun!
Your piloting skills and footage are absolutely insane! Couldn't ask for anything better! Professional Plus quality in every way! Well done!
Thanks a ton man really appreciate it 🙌🏼
Great video thank you! Quick question please, can you customise the RC3 so left stick is move forward/back, strafe left/right and right stick is look up/down and turn left/right?
I believe you can, yes!
@@fabreezy_ thank you so much!
Amazing Video! Thanks for the Vid, that Dog had his eyes locked on that Avata😂
No doubt! 😂
Everything about your review is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a first time drone pilot having bought the DJI Mini 3 a few months ago. I absolutely love the shots im able to get as I leave near the ocean in Tampa Bay, close to the Skyway Bridge. I'm training myself to be a better drone pilot, and I want to add more to my fleet. Your review has shown me that the DJI Avata 2 is my next purchase :)
Amazing brother, that's awesome to hear! You going to have a great time flying it dude. Been going crazy on this trip but its definitely going to be a step up from your mini 3, Make sure to use my affiliate link in the description pls 😁🙌🏼
This is well done and awesome content. Love the bts views and your willingness to help people learn from your experience. Have a couple questions: do you always shoot 4:3 vs 16:9? What’s the advantage? I’ve never converted to Rec.709. What’s the importance on that step/ do you have any workflow videos on that?
Thanks so much, appreciate it! Yes I always shoot in 4:3 as it utilises the full sensor when filming. It also allows for more wiggle room when stabilising in post and is more suitable for vertical content. You only need to convert the footage into REC 709 if you shoot in d log m otherwise there is no need. Don’t have any workflow video yet but maybe I will post one :)
@@fabreezy_ thanks for feedback and just subscribed! Would love to see an advanced video on how you go about changing your gimbal angles for different shots/during shot giving that it’s a unique feature in Avata.
OMFG. Wow. I Subbed before the video ended.
my guy !!!!
Great review! I really appreciate the style and energy you bring. Keep it up!
Thanks, I really appreciate it !!!
Woooow, spectacular 🤝😎
Thank you :)
Thanks for your video! Love my Avata 2 :). Where did you get your NDs from?

@@fabreezy_ Hahah , Now i have
@@dragge6 hehe thanks so much dude appreciate the support 🙌🏼
Great job. Just bought your color grade
Yooo appreciate the support, let me know how you like them!!!!
Loved your footage! I purchased mine a few weeks ago with no FPV experience and have only flown it around my office and once outside. Purchased the RC 3 controller a week later and it has made a difference in my enjoyment! Apparently I need to modify my left control stick so it doesn’t spring back into the neutral position when I release it.(not sure why?)
Amazing man! Thank you so much. Yeah had to do the same thing, never had to do this before but apparently that’s how DJI sells them 😄
Epic shots👍🏻😎
Thank you :)
Amazing footage, brother! Please leave links or tell me the names of the places where you made the videos! I really want to visit a place like that.
Ive hit the like button before I even watched the video as I was waiting for a proper review from you. I would love to see more videos like this one. 🥳 thanks
Thanks so much man, so good to hear this resonated with you! I would love to create more videos like this. They are a looooooooot of work but was so worth it. Appreciate your support and thanks for tuning in 🙌🏼🙌🏼
You video is amazing! Want to know the dive shots can be taken by using the motion controller or it only can be taking by the remote controller with the manual mode?
The crazy dive shots are not able be taken on the motion controller, you’ll need the RC remote for that
Wicked footage! Just picked up an Avata 2. You've just gained a subscriber! 👌👌👌
Yoo congrass Jesse, and thanks for the sub. Glad you enjoyed watching the video :)
insane video.
what kind of laptop/video editing program do you use??
I use a m3 max MacBook Pro with Final Cut or premier pro
That is a beautiful place for catching video footage 👍👌😮
Thank you :)
I have now seen plenty of Avata 2 reviews but non of them was even close to this one in my personal opinion because this review is mostly about the Avata 2 as the tool for making the incredible videos, instead of discussing all of the technical stuff.. Regarding the final videos, are those stabilised in the GyroFlow in post or you have used built in stabiliser in Avata 2 ? would like to see some processing/editing of one of those videos from raw to final export if possible in near future... again dude very impressive videos and stunning colors I can see on my Apple Studio display
Thanks so much for your detailed feedback I really appreciate it. It's good to hear you like the less technical stuff and more of the "what you can do with it" approach. I definitely want to focus more on that so that's good to know it's well received! Yeah great idea, I might do a video about that soon, cheers :)
Amazing footage! I'm Indonesian and miss my home now! lol
Btw did you use gyroflow to stabilize the footage or using EIS Rocksteady?
Keep it up great content DJI Definitly should sponsor you next time!
Thanks buddy I love Indonesia 🇮🇩 I stabilised everything with Gyroflow in post
Awesome video
Thank you 🙏🏽
Good morning Fabreezy.
Really great video on the capabilities of Avata 2, even at the extreme in the water! :)
Regarding ND filters, in a video I clearly noticed that they degraded the image compared to lenses without ND filters.
Before purchasing through your indicated link, could you give me information about it?
I can't find any other videos online where the quality is compared between lenses with ND filters and without ND filters.
Since I also record manually in 30 fps, therefore the classic reciprocal of 30/60, I really need your valuable opinion on the matter, apart from the quality of TH-cam which inevitably degrades. I thank you in advance.
Greetings from Italy! Here too we have some beautiful places to shoot with the drone, and not just with the drone!
I keep getting mixed opinions from people and videos, I want to get into FPV and I am not sure if I want to lock my self into the DJI ecosystem
would appreciate any insight to if I should jump in to the main side (BYO, soldering, non-dji) or is it better to start with the DJI eco?
I have only ever flown within the DJI eco system. You don't have to start with an avata, I started with a flight Nazgûl or titan xl5. Hope this helps
Can you show us your post processing? Did you color grade that footage? Did you use Gyroflow if yes can you make a specific tutorial about what settings your using? Thanks mate
All the footage has been graded yes :) will try to make a video in the future
Sick video and review, it’s definately an interesting quad. It’s almost a hybrid.
It really is!
Would you still strap an empty bottle on it for floating measure? Or does it float on its own?
Sup fabreezy stumbled accrossed your channel right now and I really like it. Just subscribed. Wondering If I should get this? I have a dji mavic 2 pro didnt know if you suggest this drone?
I highly recommend it if you are keen on trying out FPV, great beginner drone !
ill look into it thanks@@fabreezy_
Nice Video 😍🤙🏼 did you use rocksteady or gyroflow ? And did you flight in fcc?
I only used Gyroflow :)
Awesome content. Subbed 😊
Thanks so much :)
Welcome aboard! Thank you :)
Hi nice video. Where were you staying in indo they look amazing place to stay.
nice shots of the surfing! I can really agree how difficult that is. You have so little time with the battery (i was with the avata 1) if you consider that they have to find the right wave, catch the wave, you need to catch the footage. I also had a hard, but certainly fun time shooting surfers
Yeah surfing is so much fun to film. Was definitely nicer to film with the Avata as it has such longer battery life 😄
GREAT video... THANKS.!!!!
Appreciate it 🙌🏼
This is an amazing video
Thanks so much bro!
Thanks mate. Do you think it’s going to be a possibility for a beginner to learn how to fly manually using the Remote if we want to purchase it?
Yes, absolutely that’s the way to learn
good a few questions for you, Would you put your 5inch FPV drone apart to start fly more with avata 2 ? And you're using reelsteady for pos footage stabilization or using rocksteady from avata 2 ?
Greet questions! I wouldn’t stop flying my 5inch but definitely add the Avata 2 to my repertoire. It can do pretty much everything my 5inch can do. Only difference is it can’t go as fast and may not be as crazy agile as the 5”. I mean you saw the footage so no need to explain, it’s wild how good it flies. Everything was stabilised in post with gyro flow :)
@@fabreezy_ amazing help Fabio thank you 👍🏽
@@joanvanz Anytime man 🤘🏽
What power bank would you recommend? Is it powerful enough to charge all three batteries when I'm out in the field?
I used a 20000mah battery and charged 2.5hr batts with it I believe. It really depends how depleted the Avata battery is
