Cerakote's V2 is pretty impressive! They did a great job with their quick correction. I've been happy with my experience thus far. 6 months in and staying strong in harsh Northeast Conditions! I'm also testing your 3-year coating and wow!! I'm super impressed Pan!! Awesome beads! Heading into the winter for great real world testing!
Thanks for making it Yvan! I know you're trying to please the SEO beast by just using the industry term...but let's be honest...the industry term sucks. We all know that true water spots are etched in and are never going to be removed without polishing, but calling it something that it isn't causes Matt Moreman (and others like him) to write off the product because none of them actually do what they say they do. Since Mineral Deposit Remover is already taken, and Mineral Cleanse is a little boring (though still good), I think a semi-catchy name might be in order... This is the best comment. And it is not even about Cericoat. Sorry, Yvan, but Cericoat saga has dragged on and on and on...dear TH-cam, please let's move on for the love of God 🙏
I have detailing business. In ny. This has been a great coating. My customers love it. It’s easy to apply and very impressive after 1 yr after the initial application.
I have used V2 on 3 vehicles now. The longest one being 6 months ago and it’s still perfect here in the Caribbean weather of Trinidad. Haven’t needed to do any mineral deposit removal as yet just a ph neutral maintenance wash about every 2 weeks for the owner and it still looks amazing. The only issue is that you need to ensure that you don’t let it cure for more than one minute in these 90 degree temperatures. Even applying it in an Aircon garage at about 78 degrees it will sweat within one minute so you need to work quickly and on small areas at a time
Nice to see a fellow Trini using it. I'm waiting on the dry season to apply my V2. I have an open garage so don't want to chance it with the rainy weather.
I’m excited to see the 12-month update, after the vehicle is daily driven in that Montreal winter! A salty, slushy, dirty Canadian winter on a daily driven vehicle is the ultimate test for any coating!
Hi Cody. I'm also looking forward to see how it does during winter. And we can consider this an extreme case as it's fully neglected by the owner, almost never washed, and sits outside in the elements 24/7. So I'm sure in the hands of an enthusiast like someone who watches my videos, and cares for their vehicle more often, it would perform even better.
I was pretty confident it was going to preform well. I did my wife's car and it went on really easy. Leveled smooth not grabby and so so slick. So far in Florida where water spotting is and issue, I am very happy with the performance. It has been at least 3 months so far with me doing the washing and a car wash a couple of times. As you do updates on this car I will update as well. Thank you for all you do. I can't wait to start getting and using your products. As I run out I will get them.
Thanks Pan for the review! I got V1 when you recommended it. The price was the clincher for me and my first coating. Our weather was turning cold so i had wasn't going to apply it yet. News broke about the problem and I got V2. I put it on my Acura in June and love the performance of the coating. It still is performing well but I think I need to do a decon with water spot remover. The doors are beading less and sheeting more. I like your channel and wish you great success with your new product line. It was your channel that got me interested in detailing cars again.
Thanks for the update Pan. Cerakote sent me a V2 after I emailed them after ur vid previously. Still waiting for the weather to behave a bit so I can apply it on my wife’s car. Happy thanksgiving to you, Andy and the rest of ur family.
Fantastic to see pan the detailing Man get back to his normal videos of-course i realise why pan self promoted his own products at launch which is perfectly understandable but still great to see pan back to his usual informative and enjoyable style
Thanks Nick! I will always continue to bring fun and educational content about detailing in general, including testing products and tools from different brands. So no worries on that end. Of course, this being my channel, and me having my own line of products, I will also make content about my own stuff too, which is only normal.
Thanks for the update, Pan! On personal vehicles, I installed V1 in March and V2 in May. Both are still performing amazingly well! Typically 2-3 weeks between washes with ph neutral soap. I recently performed a light water spot removal and iron remover. Not that it needed it but mostly because I was curious and still learning. Both vehicles still have an amazing deep gloss and smoothness to the touch. I’ve been extremely happy with the results. Also, their customer service has been beyond awesome in all my interactions. Yesterday, I placed my first order of Clean By Pan products and now looking forward to trying those out!
I purchased V1 when it first came out. Based on all the hoopla surrounding the coating, I did not use it. Cerakote refunding my money and said to keep the coating. I have considered using it, but still hesitant. Sounds like you have had success with V1. Do you recommend using it? Thanks!
@@tomevans54586 it worked fine for me as I applied it during warmer temps. My understanding was that it did not cure well in colder climates, but that’s just my guess. As for using it now, I would say it depends on how long you’ve had it. I believe there is a 1 year shelf life for unopened bottles. So it’s hard to say. Nothing wrong with applying in a test spot and seeing how it works. You can always remove by polishing.
Good to know! Where do you live? I’m assuming in a warmer climate if V1 did well for you. Most people in places like California and Arizona had no issues with V1. Also glad to see you’ll start enjoying CLEAN By Pan products!! Have fun! 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow, I'm impressed. Great update. I bought the 2 pack and I'm waiting until spring to get my paint ready. I did apply it to my front end for the winter in Ohio. But I'll be buffing the whole car come spring and applying it to the whole car.
Been waiting for this update😊 Very cool to see that v2 is going so strong, and with so little maintenance in that time. I’ve done my sister’s Model Y, 1 month ago and haven’t had the time to check up on it, but seeing this video gives me high hopes that it has survived dispite not optimal temps when and applying, but the coating was sweating good after 3-4 min so fingers crossed. and only the minimum off 2 hours cure time before hitting the elements.
I bought 3 packs and recieved 1 free pack of version one of Cerakote and had 2 customer failures. My fustration was at peak levels, since i had to quarentee, repolish and recoat 2 cars.. Even with the failures I decided to stick it out, after recieveing V2 Cerakote I haven't looked back. Everyone is impressed with this coating especially at this price point. $59 for 2 bottles. I used it on my daily driver and topcoat it twice a month with Cerakote paint sealer spray after every maintenance wash. My car look amazing I get alot of compliments, questions and thumbs up at red lights... I'm glad I gave Cerakote a scond chance. Pan You've have a very exciting year and congradulations on your new product line.. I.m Ready to place my Black friday order now since you spray polish finally is back in stock. I was wondering if you will have the pads available for this polish, I believe you mentioned 3 different pads at one of the SEMA interviews, Wool-heavycut, Foam-cut and Foam -polish, Are these your pads that will be released soon? or do you recommend some of the pads from House of rags? Thanks agian for another great video.
Thanks Tom! Yes I will have a wool cutting pad, a foam polishing pad, and a waffle foam jeweling pad. The cutting pad and jeweling pad are almost ready, and we're still waiting on the custom foam to arrive for making the custom polishing pads. We're hoping to have everything ready in the next month if all goes as planned. I showed the pads and spoke about them in this recent video: th-cam.com/video/lZsPKHNC4i4/w-d-xo.html In the meantime, if you want a good polishing pad, I highly recommend this one: tinyurl.com/5n7hbwzm
I got my V2 sample 3 month ago, still didnt used it because i want to make a full paint cleaning and correction, so i can see the real deal, but as i see its very good, respect all companies that admits the mistakes and correct them.
DIY Detail Water Spot Remover is definitely a cheat code product for maintenance of all coatings. It is amazing stuff and probably my favorite of the line. Yeah there are other acidic soaps out there that can do the same thing, but they're not always as effective and may not be as safe. I think being able to target it where needed after the wash and then wiping it in makes it so much more effective. I've never been too interested in the Cerakote coatings, but this one is still looking great. Thanks for the update and I'm glad to see you back in your garage doing Pan things. BTW I still can't stop reaching for your Clean Rinse-Less wash even though I may want to use another of my favorites. I often compromise and end up mixing up two buckets and splitting the car down the middle...but I always at least crack open the bottle to get a good whiff every time I go into my cabinet. I also keep a bottle of it mixed 128:1 on my desk to wipe down my computer screens, desk and clean my glasses. You gotta get that made into in a Bio-Fresh bar scent, I'll buy a case!
Good points here Jeff. I agree with acidic soaps like CarPro Descale not being quite as strong as a water spot remover spray like DIY Detail Water Spot Remover. Acidic soaps are usually the most gentle way to remove fresh water spots for regular maintenance. Going up in "aggression" level for heavier mineral contamination or water spots are the spray versions of water spot removers. If used correctly, they absolutely help to revive coatings clogged by minerals. And thanks for the positive feedback about my CLEAN By Pan Rinse-Less Wash, I appreciate it. I also see you often talk highly about it in other comments or platforms like Facebook, so thank you! It means a lot. Quick tip I learned. Using it at a 64:1 dilution (2 oz for every gallon of water) is even crazier for use as a drying aid. It's the OMG effect. :) Try it and let me know. And yes we will be working on a collab with Bio-Bombs to reverse engineer the scents of a few CLEAN By Pan products, to put them in a Bio-Fresh bar. It takes a few months of engineering and testing, but we're hoping to get this done. :)
Great video pan! Yes, I remember when they had a problem with v one. But as you said in the industry, it can happen. More importantly, the c e o stepped up and immediately fixed the problem. Willing to compensate the customers that had the original product, and turned out a superior product in v 2!! 👊🇨🇦
Hello Pam from Massachusetts. I applied about 3 months ago. I am not as regular on washing as you. I like once a week in the summer, and the rest of the season I like to have a 3 day of no weather outlook. My truck is a daily driver and a construction tool. I use a cheep soap. 2 months in I applied a top coat. Still beading great. I am going to try the water spot remover, see if that makes it pop better. Great videos Thank you!
Absolutely loved this update! Always giving us exactly what we want to see! Thank you for your extremely hard diligent work and top of the food chain content and products! Happy Thanksgiving Pan!
I’m really pleased with the V2, had it on a car for 7 months now here in the U.K., (and it’s rained a lot), daily driver and its performance is excellent. Car stays so much cleaner, and is so easy to clean ! 👍👍👍 well done Cerakote !
Good stuff Pan. Cerakote V1 didn’t work well for me. I sent Cerakote an email. They gladly sent me V2 and it is holding up like a charm. That’s a stand up company. Enjoy your thanksgiving with family and friends.
I just applied my replaced Cerakote v2 coating about two months ago. Did the complete decontamination process except for the machine polish. The paint didn't have any scratches or swirls and I don't own a polisher. I was a little nervous about the application but it went on easy. The shine and slickness are amazing. We'll see how it holds up to a Denver, Colorado winter.
Sounds good, thanks for sharing! I hope there was no previous protection on the paint before you applied the coating though. The only way to ensure 100% removal of a previous protection is by machine polishing. Followed by a panel prep spray to remove polishing oils and residue. Coatings need to bond to a clean, decontaminated and virgin surface.
I already gave many updates on that topic. Did you watch this video? I mentioned near the beginning that V1 had failed, and you can see where everwhere else on the car the water is flat. That’s V1 as we didn’t polish the entire vehicle. So what you see beyond the two V2 squared is the old v1. You might be confused with ImJoshV’s channel where his V1 was doing quite well and he didn’t have issues as he was from a warmer climate in California. Those in California and Arizona weren’t plagued with the curing mechanism issues we had in colder climates. Anyways, nobody can buy V1 now, so talking about V1 is useless. V2 seems to be doing good so far so it seems the brand corrected the issue.
@@PanTheOrganizer that's too bad. I know you installed the V1 in your temperature and humidity controlled garage so I thought it would've held up. Seems like cure times and conditions are just as important as the prep.
@@TheBreakfastLover - You got it. Pan did everything correctly, in very controlled conditions, but v1 curing agents let him down. Based on a very small sampling of others who somehow got v1 to work, it might have been a batch issue at Cerakote. That said; Cerakote opted to rework the curing agents and v2 seems to be much more consistent.
Yeah on V1 the outside temperatures were super important. When the vehicle was released to the customer, it was already below freezing outside and that seems to have been detrimental to the coating's first week of curing (as you know, all coatings continue to cure during the first 7 to 14 days). So when more and more people in colder climates started to report the coating failing, Cerakote started looking into why and finally discovered it was an issue with the curing mechanisms under certain conditions. They wouldn't say exactly what conditions, but from the data we were seeing in comments, it seemed to point towards colder climates.
It's absolutely amazing how well decon for a coating works. I had the unfortunate problem some months ago of my black car being under a sprinker system and had horrible water spots for about 6 weeks before and not enough time to deal with it. They were baked in. I had DIY "The Stack" 8/3 yr coating on it which was only about 5 months old. I simply did a wash, CarPro IronX/decon towel and then some Nanoskin Spot Free and back to good as new again! I was so relieved!
I applied the Cerakote V2 on my 2015 Camry I would estimate 6 months ago. I live in Toronto, Canada. It is Parking garage kept in the evening but parked outside next to a GO train line from 7-4 Monday-Friday. It is going strong since the day I applied it. I try and wash the car every other week outside during the warmer months and then in my parking garage using rinseless washes in the cooler months.
Shockingly impressed. While their initial setback is going to be a challenge in this product for some time, at the price point and for the quantity you get, I’d consider this for my older vehicles. And glad your CLEAN product line is performing really well. Can’t wait to give them a try.
Thanks!! If you ever try my products, I’m sure you’ll love them. Many of them actually made the 2024 best of the year awards in Detailing Dogma’s new video here: th-cam.com/video/3z1g9WSr4eM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y2g0HOoDI25IHqfv
I applied v2 in the middle of July. Truck sits outside and has been washed twice since then. Still going strong on paint and glass. The real test will be in the coming months with neo Ohio winters. Also will be using touchless car washes on it. I used Adam’s graphene also last November and both have pretty much been knocked out.
I must say, I am very impressed. V1 worked fine on the car I used it on, and customer is happy. But I know many did not have that. But v2 I think may have to be a part of my line up if I head down the route of cheaper coating jobs.
@ it wasn’t cold but it wasn’t warm. Very humid on the day. I did let it sit for the full 5mins. I’m in a sub tropical type region and it was probably spring that I did it. (New Zealand).
Nice Pan! I was actually just thinking about getting the cerakote so I can save my Clean by Pan coatings for my personal vehicles. Or for people who are willing to pay more for me to apply your coatings. BTW cerakote is on sale right now on Amazon for 60$
Pan, I applied Cerokote V2 on my 2023 MB E 350 in August of this year, which is a daily driver and I live in the metro Detroit area. I also applied Glassparency to the windshield and CarPro DLUX to the AMG wheels. In October I applied TW Hybrid Pro Graphene Flex Wax as a topper. So far when I wash the car or get caught in the rain the beading is as you say "Insane".
Pan, did you have a Water blaster gun as a child? I bet you were a Menace !! haha.. Great stuff, again! My GMC truck is in version 1, and Its not been a year and Its lost some of its water beading properties. Hand washed 15 times ( its Black).
Used V1 AND V2 on motorcycles and ATVs with absolutely no failures whatsoever. The price point on these coatings are undeniable. However … I prefer Gtechniq’s CSL as my go to for ceramic coatings. 😊😊😊
Thanks for the update. I’ve been waiting wanting to know if all my labor in putting that on my fifth wheel was worth it. Mine sits in the shop most of the time so I expect great long term results from it.
I did Cerakote V2 a month ago, looks great. I have your Clean Ceramic Spray Sealant and was planning to use it as a topper in a few months? Still a good idea over the Cerakote V2?
Not to my knowledge. I don't live in a dusty area, but haven't heard of coatings really "attracting" dust. I haven't seen any paint protection really prevent that yet though, other than a few spray toppers that sometimes have antistatic properties, but even then there are no miracles against dust unfortunately. Regular washing of your car is the key.
Hey Pan, I loved your best products of 2023 video. Will you please upload the best of 2024 video, atleast without the controversial part. They are really helpful. Thanks and Regards
Here's the nozzle I use: bit.ly/3Vxbaio 40 degree tip. 4.5 orifice for my Kranzle 1122TST. You have to get the appropriate orifice size for your specific pressure washer.
Great video Pan! I just finished my first wash with your 8 year coating and I've never seen such awesome beading. I noticed there's a little bit of overspray on the paint what would you recommend to clean it with?
You got paint overspray on the paint? You were repainting the car after having applied the coating? I’m confused. What is an “under coating overspray”? If you want me to try and help you, you have to be more precise about what you did, what steps, what products, what sequence of events, etc
@@PanTheOrganizer Sorry for the confusion. So I was spraying some black rust paint underneath the car and some undercoating in the wheel wells. This is how I got overspray on the new ceramic coating. I was thinking of just trying a clay towel with some detail spray. But I figured I'd ask the expert first. Lol!
OUCH. Don't use any chemicals for the first 7 days. That's when you reach full chemical cure. In the meantime, you can wash the car with a pH neutral soap and warm water, that should help to start cleaning some of it. After applying the coating, you need to wait 12 hours before washing the car with a pH neutral soap. Maybe let a full day go by, and then wash it. I have never had to deal with undercoating overspray though, as I don't do that to my cars (German cars use high quality galvanized steel so no real need for that, plus I get a new car every three years hehe). It will be somewhat complicated as you wouldn't want to damage the coating. You could certainly try a non abrasive perforated decontamination towel like my new clay towel which isn't abrasive, here's a link: tinyurl.com/2xdm94p4 But before attempting to do that decon, wait a full week. Mechanical friction could weaken a fresh coating.
I haven't done ceramic coating on my 1.5-year-old new BMW for a couple of reasons. (1) I'm lazy :) and (2) I only put about 3000 miles on the car each year and almost never in the rain/snow. It's also parked in garage with AC. Should I still get it ceramic coated? I have been washing it religiously and applying TurtleWax ceramic spray was(the one that Pan recommended in another video) Just wondering. Thanks!
For sure, true coatings in glass bottles absolutely obliterate any spray on product. True coatings have more of everything: better durability, better gloss/slickness, better hydrophobics, greater resistance to chemicals, better self-cleaning properties, etc. That's the general rule of thumb. But there are many people who don't want to take the time to apply a true coating, and just like the simplicity, ease of use, and much less expensive purchase price of spray on products. You have to pick what you prefer at the end of the day. There's nothing wrong with using a good spray product like the TW Ceramic Spray Coating you are using, or the new CLEAN By Pan The Organizer Ceramic Spray Sealant should you want to try that one too. Here's a link: tinyurl.com/2kbbjwsr
You should try living on the coast edge in Nova Scotia. Our SUV lives outside all year round and in the summer the salt spray is really bad. I have to wash at least once a week and in the winter ?. 🇨🇦👍👍
Yeah Canada in general is pretty brutal on coatings and paint protection in general. Here in Montreal, we have all that nasty winter but also those road salts which weaken most coatings especially on neglected cars.
Thanks for watching Doug! How did you discover my channel by the way? Welcome to my channel. I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Hey pan! Im about to get a flex polisher and am looking at gear driven or random orbital. Im new to polishing so i want a unit that will be more forgiving. Would a gear driven be good for a beginner to learn on? I know this is random but this is your most recent vid lol…thanks!!!
Pan, what is the long power washer wand you are using? Can you link it please. Also this vehicle here represents my clients real world washing regiments. 99% of my ceramic coating clients are not washing their vehicle multiple times a week let alone once a month. They are going a few months between washes. Thats why i would love to see what i consider real word durability ratings on neglected coatings. For an example only. Let’s say coating A claims a 5 year durability. Is that based on a vehicle that is garage kept, never driven in the snow, never sees rain, washed once a week and driven under 1,000 miles a year????
I will let others speak to that. I never talk badly about brands. But I am sure once you try CLEAN coatings you’ll see why they’re so good. Check out another channel’s 2024 best of the year awards to see which coating too his first place in the top tier category here: th-cam.com/video/3z1g9WSr4eM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y2g0HOoDI25IHqfv
Assuming the coating was properly applied and is well within its durability claims, yes. Water spot removers are designed to remove the accumulated mineral contamination that can clog coatings. Or remove light water spots.
Yeah only testing in your own conditions on your own daily driver is how you get the full picture. What works for one person might not work for you. And what fails for one person might actually work super well for you.
I made the mistake of buying this after your initial endorsement, and then the largest fiasco in detailing history followed about this product. Super disappointing.
Hopefully you contacted Cerakote and got your free replacement. It put me back a few months and weather hasn't permitted me to do it since getting the v2, but I'm still excited about it
@ENDEE666 Ahhh I see. The price point is what got me, no coatings available for double what I paid so it got me to take the chance. My car is outdoors 24/7 (albeit in mild California weather) but application will also be outdoors so dropping a couple hundred on Adam's or DIYs coatings was a gamble I wasn't willing to take
I just get scared of having high spots streaks that wont go away for a long time. DIY becomes a nightmare if that happens. ugh, and I dont consider myself a n00b.
Honestly, with today's high quality modern coatings, you'd really have to be unlucky to get high spots. Modern coatings have come a long way and are now more user friendly than ever. I developed my own new line of premium car care products called CLEAN By Pan The Organizer, and I made sure my coatings are the easiest to apply and are forgiving enough to never have to worry about high spots, as long as you follow the simple instructions. DIY Detail Water Spot remover is in spray form. CarPro Descale is a soap. Both have acidic chemistries to help remove water spots (assuming they haven't been left unattended for too long and started etching through the clear coat). They remove mineral buildup that often "clog" coatings.

I have used V2 on 3 vehicles now. The longest one being 6 months ago and it’s still perfect here in the Caribbean weather of Trinidad.
Thanks for sharing Charles!
Great update video. I have 2 bottles coming as Christmas gift. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for sharing your results.
Thanks Bryan!
Thank you for the support! Let us know what you think!
Thanks for the feedback Chris, and for the kind words about my channel. I appreciate it!
Thanks for the update Pan. Cerakote sent me a V2 after I emailed them after ur vid previously. Still waiting for the weather to behave a bit so I can apply it on my wife’s car. Happy thanksgiving to you, Andy and the rest of ur family.
Thanks man! Happy thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!
@PanTheOrganizer I can't believe it's been 7 months! Seems like yesterday!
Major congrats on the new products btw!🎉
Time flies!
Have fun! 👍🏻👍🏻
South Carolina. Yes, I believe the warmer weather played a factor.
Happy thanksgiving!
Thanks for the follow up, Pan. We appreciate your efforts.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the updates!
Wow, I'm impressed. Great update.
I bought the 2 pack and I'm waiting until spring to get my paint ready.
I did apply it to my front end for the winter in Ohio.
But I'll be buffing the whole car come spring and applying it to the whole car.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
I've coated a couple of vehicles with CeraKote V2... the owners of both of them are very happy with the perforance on their vehicles.
Thanks for sharing Ron.
I showed the pads and spoke about them in this recent video: th-cam.com/video/lZsPKHNC4i4/w-d-xo.html
In the meantime, if you want a good polishing pad, I highly recommend this one: tinyurl.com/5n7hbwzm
We appreciate the second chance!
I got my V2 sample 3 month ago, still didnt used it because i want to make a full paint cleaning and correction, so i can see the real deal, but as i see its very good, respect all companies that admits the mistakes and correct them.
Yeah living up to mistakes and how you address and correct them is important.
Thank you!
Looks like the second version is fine. Water spot remover certainly helps to keep the hydrophobics alive! Great video, Pan
Thanks!
Great video pan! Yes, I remember when they had a problem with v one. But as you said in the industry, it can happen. More importantly, the c e o stepped up and immediately fixed the problem. Willing to compensate the customers that had the original product, and turned out a superior product in v 2!! 👊🇨🇦
Well said!
Thanks!
Absolutely loved this update! Always giving us exactly what we want to see! Thank you for your extremely hard diligent work and top of the food chain content and products! Happy Thanksgiving Pan!
Thank you! 🙏
I’m really pleased with the V2, had it on a car for 7 months now here in the U.K., (and it’s rained a lot), daily driver and its performance is excellent. Car stays so much cleaner, and is so easy to clean ! 👍👍👍 well done Cerakote !
Thanks for sharing your personal experience!
Thank you!
Good stuff Pan. Cerakote V1 didn’t work well for me. I sent Cerakote an email. They gladly sent me V2 and it is holding up like a charm. That’s a stand up company. Enjoy your thanksgiving with family and friends.
Glad to hear V2 is working out for you! Enjoy your Thanksgiving as well!
Thank you!
Thank you for the update. Cerakote is very impressive. Your Clean shampoo looks amazing
Thanks Tim! 👍🏻
Thank you!
I've had it on two test panels on my car for about a month or so now. Super slick and glossy, and the water behavior is great.
Thanks for the update!
Thank you for your business!
@ No previous protection and a panel prep spray was my final step before I applied the coating. Thanks for all the great diy videos.
Give us some updates after the winter and thank you for the support!
I installed it about two weeks ago, live in SW FL (HOT) vehicle stays inside. Daily driver. so far so good
Cool!
any update on Cerakote V1.0? I think you were one of the few reviewers (or perhaps the only reviewer) that actually managed to get it to work.
There you go! 👍🏻
Thanks for the update!
Great update, thank you!
It's looking good, Pan!
Yeah they seem to have corrected the issue. So far so good
I applied v2 in the middle of July. Truck sits outside and has been washed twice since then. Still going strong on paint and glass. The real test will be in the coming months with neo Ohio winters. Also will be using touchless car washes on it. I used Adam’s graphene also last November and both have pretty much been knocked out.
That's great to hear! I'm also curious to see how it holds up through the winter.
Let us know how we do!
Love these videos Pan. Thanks for still doing them......
You are welcome, I'm glad you like them!
I must say, I am very impressed. V1 worked fine on the car I used it on, and customer is happy. But I know many did not have that. But v2 I think may have to be a part of my line up if I head down the route of cheaper coating jobs.
Where do you live? I’m assuming it’s a warmer climate?
@ it wasn’t cold but it wasn’t warm. Very humid on the day. I did let it sit for the full 5mins. I’m in a sub tropical type region and it was probably spring that I did it. (New Zealand).
Good to know. Thanks for sharing your personal experience.
More affordable without compromising on the quality of raw materials-crafted with care at our state-of-the-art facility in Oregon.
Still going strong after 3 months on my new truck. Minnesota.
Thanks for sharing Josh!
Whoever "hand washed" that car was probably so confused.. lol
Haha for sure! Like “WTF are these squares with water beading?!”
Nice Pan! I was actually just thinking about getting the cerakote so I can save my Clean by Pan coatings for my personal vehicles. Or for people who are willing to pay more for me to apply your coatings. BTW cerakote is on sale right now on Amazon for 60$
That’s a great idea!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Pan, did you have a Water blaster gun as a child? I bet you were a Menace !! haha.. Great stuff, again! My GMC truck is in version 1, and Its not been a year and Its lost some of its water beading properties. Hand washed 15 times ( its Black).
Hehe thanks for watching and happy Thanksgiving!
Used V1 AND V2 on motorcycles and ATVs with absolutely no failures whatsoever. The price point on these coatings are undeniable.
However … I prefer Gtechniq’s CSL as my go to for ceramic coatings.
😊😊😊
I respect your preference! There are so many great ceramic coatings out there.
Alright Cerakote definitely looks like they brought the heat with V2 💯
Coming to THOR soon?.. 😏
@ not in the works but I might give it a test again in 2025
It’s definitely a huge improvement over V1!
@@JamieTheCleaner you’ll have to create a “30$ coating company” tab on the website 😂 it’s all in good fun
😂
Hi Pan, would you recommend Cerakote v2 or Avalon King ix???
Cerakote V2
Cerakote V2 hands down!
Thanks for the update. I’ve been waiting wanting to know if all my labor in putting that on my fifth wheel was worth it. Mine sits in the shop most of the time so I expect great long term results from it.
Thanks for watching!
I did Cerakote V2 a month ago, looks great. I have your Clean Ceramic Spray Sealant and was planning to use it as a topper in a few months? Still a good idea over the Cerakote V2?
You can absolutely use it as a topper! :)
Do you know of any coatings that specifically repel dust? I live in a windy and dusty area.
Thanks for the response!
Great video thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
Hey Pan,
I loved your best products of 2023 video. Will you please upload the best of 2024 video, atleast without the controversial part.
They are really helpful.
Thanks and Regards
Not this year. I will rethink the format for next year.
Hello Pan. Thank you for the excellent and thorough review. Where would I be able to purchase the spray nozzle you used in this video. Thanks
Here's the nozzle I use: bit.ly/3Vxbaio
40 degree tip. 4.5 orifice for my Kranzle 1122TST. You have to get the appropriate orifice size for your specific pressure washer.
Thank you Pan for your response.
Thank you Pan looks good. Al, NJ
You are very welcome Al. 😎
Pan you’re the best! Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 to you and yours! I wish for you life and many good days my friend!
Thanks Jon! Happy thanksgiving to you and your loves ones!
Great video Pan! I just finished my first wash with your 8 year coating and I've never seen such awesome beading. I noticed there's a little bit of overspray on the paint what would you recommend to clean it with?
What do you mean by overspray?
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks for the fast reply! Paint overspray, and a little bit of under coating overspray.
You could certainly try a non abrasive perforated decontamination towel like my new clay towel which isn't abrasive, here's a link: tinyurl.com/2xdm94p4
But before attempting to do that decon, wait a full week. Mechanical friction could weaken a fresh coating.
If it can beat the 2 year mark with cold winters I am very impressed.
I agree
Game on!
Great update, Pan! Do you still have C6 on your new car? Any update on that coming if so?
Yeah it’s still on the Porsche and doing great so far. Yes I’m planning on future updates
@ thanks for the reply! Happy Thanksgiving!
Same to you!
What is the difference between DIY Detail Water Spot Remover and CarPro Descale?
Nice video Pan, as always.
Descale is an acidic shampoo
PAAAAAAAN! Happy Thanksgiving! Have a good weekend :) 🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I hope you enjoy your weekend too.
Wow, very impressive for sure.

Good Work Pan! just have a question, coz im in a Hot Humid Rainy country, u think it will have same result? also how to remove that ceramic coating
If you applied V2 you shouldn’t have any issues.
The only way to ensure 100% removal of an existing ceramic coating is by machine polishing.

Here’s a link to my gun and wand: bit.ly/3sQxxAh

Thank you sir

How does Cerakote 2.0 compare to Clean 3 yr ceramic coating
I will let others speak to that. I never talk badly about brands.
But I am sure once you try CLEAN coatings you’ll see why they’re so good.
Check out another channel’s 2024 best of the year awards to see which coating too his first place in the top tier category here: th-cam.com/video/3z1g9WSr4eM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y2g0HOoDI25IHqfv
@ understand … thanks!
In Portugal we wash 1 time in month
Will any water spot remover revive any ceramic coating?
I’ve tried several, and I think you get what you pay for in many cases. But more or less, yes. Even dilute vinegar will work to an extent
Assuming the coating was properly applied and is well within its durability claims, yes. Water spot removers are designed to remove the accumulated mineral contamination that can clog coatings. Or remove light water spots.
Cerakote looks like they got it right with V.2. Unfortunately, coatings are one of those products you have to wait years to try a new one.
Yeah only testing in your own conditions on your own daily driver is how you get the full picture. What works for one person might not work for you. And what fails for one person might actually work super well for you.
Not bad cerakote….Not too bad!
They seem to have corrected the issue so far.
@ Indeed it does seem that way. I’m glad they did!
Thanks for watching!
@ Always! Keep killing it pan!!🫱🏽🫲🏻
Thanks man! Happy thanksgiving!
Are you going to recoat the rest of that vehicle?
Depending on how well it does during winter, or perhaps use another coating. We’ll see.
Only washed it once in 7 months..... should be once a month....✌️
Or more. I wash my car twice weekly. But yeah once a month is minimum in my books.
I made the mistake of buying this after your initial endorsement, and then the largest fiasco in detailing history followed about this product. Super disappointing.
May I ask what your disappointment is? Is it due to an emotional letdown or something to do with your experience with the product?
Hopefully you contacted Cerakote and got your free replacement. It put me back a few months and weather hasn't permitted me to do it since getting the v2, but I'm still excited about it
@@DanielReyes-hz1qk I opted for the refund. There's plenty proven coatings.
@ENDEE666 Ahhh I see. The price point is what got me, no coatings available for double what I paid so it got me to take the chance. My car is outdoors 24/7 (albeit in mild California weather) but application will also be outdoors so dropping a couple hundred on Adam's or DIYs coatings was a gamble I wasn't willing to take
Great video as always!!! I still have version one cam I still return it and get version two? Thanks again!!
See my video about the coatings here: th-cam.com/video/lZsPKHNC4i4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FQqd1nugupfAX7H9

Very smart to only do a controlled section. V1 wasn’t very good. Imagine doing a complete car and it doesn’t last.

My car is so dirty, I shouldn’t be allowed to be here

What is the difference between DIY Detail Water Spot Remover and CarPro Descale?
Nice video Pan, as always.
DIY Detail Water Spot remover is in spray form. CarPro Descale is a soap. Both have acidic chemistries to help remove water spots (assuming they haven't been left unattended for too long and started etching through the clear coat). They remove mineral buildup that often "clog" coatings.
