I have already received V2 replacements from Cerekote. I’m giving them a fair second chance because I liked the way they handled the issue with V1. Sometimes things don’t always turn out the way you want. I know I have made mistakes in detailing too. Thank you Pan for following up with the product. I think they got it right this time. It’s still a great plan , easy application and removal, low cost. I’m’ watching the durability with V2 and we will see. Thanks Cerekote for owning up and addressing the issues, thank you Pan for following up and your continued professionalism KRIS CAPPS AUTO DETAIL. Green Valley AZ
They sent me replacements super fast with version 2. They reached out via email first which I appreciated. Bought three originally having installed 1, they sent me three no questions.
I purchased a full case, they exchanged me a new full case! Amazing response! Props to Cerakote for being an incredible company! Thanks Pan! and the community for being such good people!
It speaks well for a company when they admit their mistakes and it speaks even higher for them when they react quickly to correct it. This is a great example of how to handle it when something doesn't work right.
I agree. I haven't seen many brands take ownership of mistakes and publicly admit to it, and then actually deliver on the promise of correcting the issue.
Hey Pan. It's good that the company listened to the customers and improved their product and even better that you gave them a second chance and showed us (your viewers) also.
This is great news. I got the original and installed it on a Land Rover Defender. 4 months later, still performing well. Installed in my garage at 68° and 40% humidity. There was one problem area on the tailgate, but the rest is still good. It has gone through a tunnel wash 4 times against my advice. Now I'll need to get the 2.0 version and try that.
Thanks for the update Pan. I'm glad i didn't purchase the first one. Good to see Cerakote back up their product by taking care of those who purchased the original formula.
This is great news Pan. My friend had version 1, and it indeed did fail also. He recently received version 2. I just passed this video on to him. We were just talking about this, this morning and that we haven’t seen an update on version 2 from you. I get home and there it was. Thank you for everything you do👍
Same results here Pan. It had a quicker cure time here since we are in tropical weather at an ambient temp of 28C and 61% humidity. Customer service of Cerakote is really top notch! Kaitlin such a big help!
Really pleased to see the follow up on your end on the Cerakote. I have not yet tried the new version, I just saw your video and it is impressive. The price is absolutely unbelievable, I have confidence in this company following your interview with the CEO where he took full responsibility and vowed to correct the issue.....He followed true and kept his word. Thanks again for your efforts on this.....Edmond
Fwiw, I applied version 1 and its been absolutely amazing for me. The gloss and slickness is fantastic and after 6 mos the hydrophobics are just as good as when I first applied. My success with the product could be because I'm in the pacific northwest which is where they're plant is located. I say that because they claim the failure was due to curing in certain climates.
Hey Pam, what’s up? I received my kit. I applied it on my wife’s car the other bottle I applied it on a customer car. It’s been a month. Everything is 100% good. I am happy my customers happy.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I do like when a company is open and admit that their products aren't pure perfection. These kinds of companies i do feel way better about spending my money on.
So I never had a problem with the first version of it. I'm in Hawaii and followed all the steps, but we don't get cold weather out here. It went back 24hrs after coating as well. I'm ok with this coating but I'm an authorized installer for other professional coatings. They are my go too but THIS IS A GOOD COATING.
I ordered the first version last year but couldn't apply it because we were heading into winter. I'm glad I wasn't able to because of the issues the coating was having. I received my version 2 and applied it last week. It was easy to apply but I did have to adjust the 5 minute wait time to a bit longer because it was a bit grabby still. Thanks to you Pan and Yvan for all the tips and tricks you really need to know before applying any coating. It gave me the confidence to tackle this job for the first time. I haven't given the vehicle it's first wash yet but the gloss and slickness are amazing. It's been driven in the rain and the dirt and pollen doesn't even cling to the paint! Thanks Cerakote for making this so affordable and easy to do. I also used their trim coat and glass coat on the vehicle. Amazing line of products!
Hi Pan. I’m here in Quebec City and after requesting a replacement they shipped out FedEx Air which I received in 48 hours. That just blew me away. Hats off to Cerakote for taking responsibility and thank you for your reviews.
Pretty sick results with that square box. It will be interesting to see how long it holds up. Congrats to Cerakote for listening to its customers and taking action to make it right. It would be nice if they sold the product individually for customers who just want to do a small car.
Pan, I just had V1 installed, after decon and claying and am very happy with it (so far). My car is garaged and the paint was near pristine to start with. My son gave it a contact wash last weekend and I observed the rinse off. It behaved as expected. It's about a month old and we'll see how it does, but I will be getting a new vehicle in the fairly near future and will definitely be ordering some V2 to coat it with. The company did right by It's handling of the curing issue, kudos to them!
Pan, Good timing on the video, I was curious when you would be following up on this. I saw that the coating was suddenly available on their website for purchase so I gave it a shot. I coated a vehicle about a month ago and it’s been super slick and hydrophobic. I paired it with their trim coat restorer and a 7 year old car looks brand even weeks later. I’m impressed.
Hello Pan. Cerakote is a standup company. They sent me the original V1 version. I had some curing issues. I emailed them and they had no problem with sending me the new updated V2 version. That speaks volumes. Thanks as always for the great job you do. Enjoy your weekend.
Always good to know they keep their word in offering free replacements or a refund. They do stand behind their products it seems. So far so good for v2. :)
Hi Pan, WOW! What a dramatic difference. Great video and save by Cerakote 2.0. I also purchased version 1 and received version 2 about 2 weeks ago. I am waiting for the right customer to apply the new coating. Thank you again for all that you do.
I recently received my replacement V2 and discovered that one of the bottles leaked in shipping. I immediately emailed cerakote and they responded and shipped out another package ASAP. I have not yet had time to apply the newest version. Thanks Pan for the update.
I've been waiting for this update for months and now you have given us the news we have been waiting for Pan , back here in the Uk the summer time is more like autumn with rain and cold conditions still it's bloody awful. Looking forward to trying it out once the sun shines .
Much better. Most people don't realize that EVERY company when releasing new products there is always issues. Show me another company going on social media and owning up 2 a mistake than remedy the problem.
Hi Pan. Hello from PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND. Another great video! I used the previous version with great success on a 2022 Mercedes. I received my replacement V2 but I have not used it yet. I'm really looking forward to it. I really wish I had your energy at my 56 years of age. You are truly inspirational!
Thanks! I'm 43 now, and I have to admit I'm a bit of a workaholic! It's like 7 days a week pretty much all the time between detailing, the TH-cam channel, etc. I can't seem to take a break haha. But my back sure hurts like crazy after 27+ years of detailing cars. Thankfully, it's still my life's biggest passion so I enjoy every minute of it.
My goodness, 43 what I wouldn’t give for your head of hair! I’m 56. I still have some hair but I’m losing it lol if you ever make it to PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, please stop in! I’m actually going to Quebec in October to visit my cousin Karl and Sherbrooke!I’ve been telling him about your channel. He’s looking forward to be giving him some tips on car detailing. Keep up the good work.
So funny you say that you live in PEI !! My girlfriend and I are planning a short 3 day trip there in August, to rediscover the place as adults! (Last time I went I was like 8 or 9 years old). We are looking forward to relaxing and swimming in the sea, and eating good seafood. I'm allergic to fish, but I can eat seafood. I love lobster rolls and scallops! :) Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on TH-cam as we surpassed 1 million subscribers and we have over 140 million views! Well, that’s awesome. I’ll be home. I have tons of room at my place and you’re more than welcome to stay here free of charge of course because you’ve provided me with so much knowledge! And a good friend of mine and Charlie McGeoghan is a lobster fisherman so I can get us lots of lobster! Let me know if you wanna make it work as I’d love to have you as a guest! It would be my honor. Have a great evening.
Hey Pan! Hope you’re doing well👍🏼 I applied the original formula to my car a few months back in optimal conditions and drive a lot. About 2,000 miles per month. Wash my vehicle a couple times a month and the coating has held up phenomenally! Will have to purchase more and get to work on my brothers car next!

You have to egnowledge Cerikote's transparency, which you did, on how well they have responded for their "Industry Disrupting" debacle. Cerikote's customer outreach was outstanding, they contacted me shortly after realizing their coating was substandard. I received two v2 replacements. I have applying v2 to a local Uber drivers vehicle (no charge) for some durability testing before suggesting this reasonably priced ceramic coating to others. I would like to note using Cerikote's Rapid Ceramic Paint Sealant Spray as a topper is quite satisfying to use and their Trim Coat Kit is showing very good durability Thank you Pan for your professionalism unskewed review and interviews. Gives us DIYers confirmation the formulas was a bit off and not necessarily incorrectly applied.
Super video!!! Excellent to see the way that you did the 2 square panels to get a really good idea as to how well the coating performed over the past months on the test areas compared to the whole door and bonnet. Glad to see that it indeed held up as well as it did. Lets see in another 6 months how its going
Great video. I’m glad they improved it. I just cannot get behind a company that did not fully own up to the problem from day one and tried to blame it on installation. Obviously if it failed for you in ideal conditions they had not done proper testing before the launch. I appreciate more the new companies that are out there where the owner/creators are directly involved. You can contact them and they don’t hide behind a desk and blame the installers. I do wish them luck.
Great video Pan! I was burned with Cerakote1. I use other Cerakote products and was shocked/disappointed. I’m glad they took responsibility. I just requested a sample pack, it never hurts to ask, I’d be willing to try Cetakote2 due to their positive handling of the issue!
Excellent video and now I am excited to try the updated version Cerakote sent out. It was a bumpy ride but Cerakote is making progress. Now to wait and see how the coating holds up. Thank you for the video Pan and I hope you guys are doing well.
Thanks for the update Pan. Had purchases v1 but did not apply it after hearing your comments about the possibility of failure. Just received the v2. Will be applying sometime in the near future. Thanks for the great follow up video. I was waiting to see if you were going to review v2 before deciding to apply it. Thanks
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the company and how well they handled the situation. Honestly just for that reason when I am able to save up i’m using cerakote just for this reason. I don’t care if it’s the best deal for the performance. Not sure how well it compares to others. But I really can’t wait
I'm going to try this product just because of the way the company handled this problem. Tells me they care about the product and the customer. Kind of rare these days.
I have to agree, it's the first time I see a public apology from a detailing brand's CEO and them taking full responsibility, and also keeping their word. And yet they're not the only brand in my 27 years of detailing that released a faulty product, and no brand is perfect and bulletproof from mistakes. They took full ownership here. They said they'd do a new version to correct the issue, and they did. They said they'd offer free replacements or a full refund no questions asked, and they did. Kudos to them!
Pan, great video! Happy to see the update. I am actually prepping to put Cerakote 2.0 on my personal vehicle tomorrow. Finished compound step today and polish tomorrow followed by Cerakote ceramic coating. I’m excited to see and share the results!
Well, I finished everything and the results are B-E-U-T-I-F-U-L!!! A 2009 restore project looks like a brand new car. I believe I shared and did the correct hashtag on instagram.
I received my 2.0 but had to get a second kit shipped as the first one leaked all over. I haven’t used it yet but will soon and are looking forward to it.
Just received replacements from Cerakote. Customer service was top notch and they even sent an extra kit. I’m waiting a little longer to install on customer vehicles, but hoping V2 is up to the task. Regardless of coating performance, I think it’s pretty cool to see a company own their position and make it right with customers.
As promised, I was sent a version 2 replacement; thanks, Cerakote!! It's just refreshing and unfortunately, in today's business environment, uncommon, to see a company stand behind it's product. So happy. I'm sure it cost a lot of money, but reputation is everything and it looks like they got it right. Is it the best coating? Who knows, but it's a great product and very competitively priced. Far from one of the priciest coatings.
Well said. It's a rare occurrence in today's business world where 1) a CEO actually takes full responsibility for an issue 2) the company promises to make it right and 3) they actually deliver on their promise to make it right and offer a full free replacement or refund. So yeah this must have cost them a fortune, above being a logistics nightmare to have to go back and send bottles left and right, but it's a short price to pay in order to conserve their reputation which is a stand-up company. So in the long run, this will likely pay them dividends for sure, and ensure their customers know they will be taken care of if anything were to happen. No brand is immune to making mistakes. Even the biggest brands can make mistakes. It's how they deal with those mistakes that leaves a lasting impression on customers.
V2 has been amazing, coated my new car a few months ago and performing very well, the only problem I can see is that in the U.K. we don’t often get days warmer than 20*c 😊
V1 has been on my car for 6 months now. It now has same problems as seen. Roof, hood etc working still like day one, but lower parts of doors is gone. They just mailed me about v2 and sent me new bottles for free. Great stuff still i think. Have a great summer Pan!
You will likely enjoy v2 a lot more. So far so good, I'm looking forward to future updates. Where do you live? Did you apply in cold temperatures or live in a colder climate?
Purchased the original black bottle, curing mechanism didn’t activate , purchase the 2.0 version and waited two weeks after washing and saw positive results. 2.0 versions worked for me. Thanks
I just emailed the company. I am a DIY er and paid for the original. I am hoping they will replace my order. Since I never applied the original based on the results I was seeing. Thank you for the update.
Hi Tim. If you had ordered the original black bottle version, and you were expecting to hear from Cerakote but didn’t, you can reach out to Cerakote at info@cerakoteceramics.com and they should get you taken care of.
I also tried the new and latest so far no issues FYI the first version is still on the vehicle in did and is still beading after four months now. So here we go again. Thanks Pan. See ya @Sema😉
Cerakote sent me 2 replacement kits, and they had leaks so they sent another. Those also had a leak, and they sent more again. They did not have to do that, as the leaks were minor and still useable. They are great just as the coating is.
I've got 3 kits that were replaced, great redponse and extremely fast shipping! I'm going to try this stuff out on my daily beater and see how it fares.
Thanks for this video, Pan. I actually didn’t know that Cerakote had reached out to me via email to offer the replacement. After watching your video I checked my old unopened emails and there it was! I will definitely take advantage of this great offer. That email has been sitting there since last month. Hopefully the offer is still good 😂 Thanks again.. 👍🏽
I applied the first version seven months ago and it’s still beading like crazy, when the coating was applied it was in the mid eighties in SoCal and the car was polished with NSP 45 before it was coated.
Yeah the weather and conditions for version one really seems to have influenced results a lot. You’re proof that in warmer climates even version #1 could do well. But at least now with v2 it seems everyone will be able to get good results as long as they follow the instructions.

i will be getting with them. i applied the 1st . bottles! & i have seen a poor results. i have given it a chance & well thanks for doing a redo! i hope they will be kind to send me new bottles!

Hey Pan! I made a video on it myself as well, on the application I had great results. I wonder if it was my video that you watched, since in one of the small channels that has made a video, if so, it is an honor 🫡🤝Hopefully you can do a follow up video also at the 6 month and on year mark to see how it holds up in your environment. I Will be doing some update videos on it also, and see how it works in San Diego weather only a daily driven car 🚗
Hey man! Yes you were part of the channel I saw that had made an update video. Good stuff and you seem to be enjoying it! When did you apply version 2.0 ?
@@PanTheOrganizer awesome, I’m honored as someone who’s followed you for years. It’s been a week and half since I applied it, and will do my first update video when the two week mark hits and then one month, 6 month, year & 2 years if it lasts till then hopefully 🤞
Time will tell. And thanks for supporting my channel too over the years. Welcome to my channel. LOL Pan , you are too funny - you do know you are a little more particular about how clean your car's on.... it looked like a typical Montreal car...DISCUSTING :) TY for doing another video follow up - i recieved my v2 and as soon as its a little warmer in NS i'll give it a whirl ... keep up the great content, cheers!
Good morning how’s it going? I have one of my cars with Adam’s graphene advanced ceramic coating and the other car I’m planning on to apply cerakote. My question is, I have 2 shampoo one is the Adam’s graphene shampoo and the other shampoo is P&S pearl shampoo, am I good with those or to be safe should I get some ph neutral with no adds. Btw the pearl shampoo I use more for foam cannon Thank you! Have a good day Thank you have a good day
I purchased a new vehicle in January 2024 and performed a true paint correction before applying the Cerakote original. The application's temperature was 55 degrees, and garage kept for 2 days . No water exposure for 3 weeks. I couldn't have asked for better product performance, horizontal and vertical. Cerakote has provided me with the new version as well. Was it luck with the original or extra cure time .
You were for sure not in deal conditions, but at least you weren't in freezing temperatures, which seems to have been the worse outcome for version 1. The first days and weeks of curing are critical for a coating's bonding. If the coating is performing well for you, and you still see strong water behaviour (beading, sheeting) and characteristics like day 1 when you applied, then the brand says you can continue as is. I wouldn't take a chance personally, if you asked me, and would polish the old one off, use a paint prep spray to remove polishing oils and residue, and apply version 2.0 in temperatures of AT LEAST 65F as required.
By the time there were rumblings of failure, I had not applied V1. I have v2 and will apply it to my personal vehicle to see the longevity of the coating. I need to get at least a year out of it before I start offering it to customers.
for the price forget it you cant compare 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 , i love there product line already so this is a plus for me and the 2 hour cure and give back to the customer is key for us mobile guys. I'm in Miami and we have high heat here as it is so it's gonna do wonders for us here.
Hey Pam good morning thank you for reviewing this. I've been messaging you to see if you had tested it out yet I was waiting to use it once they sent me my new V2 version and now I definitely can go ahead and use it. I appreciate your video
@@PanTheOrganizer I've always appreciated detailers online who actually just go for the truth and test products. There are people out here such as me who detail that pray and hope our clients aren't out there throwing acid and wheel cleaner on the paint of their vehicles just to make a product fail. We don't know what our clients will do with their cars but we just hope they're not doing silly stuff like that
I tried Cerakote's trim wipes when those first came out and they worked very well at removing fading and adding hydrophobic properties to the old BMW trim. It's nice to know they listened to feedback and worked to improve their product. Out of curiosity, have you looked into Griot's all-in-one ceramic wax? And if so, what are your thoughts on it?
It was surprisingly good for a spray protectant. I had it in my real world durability test here: th-cam.com/video/MoBTLpRFFw4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=F2n1tPFy711p6PQN
I actually used the bad stuff on my 2 ATV’s. Didn’t want to throw it away, lol. Not much work to put it on my ATV’s as there’s not much paint area on them.
I love the channel, but I am going to have a hard time not getting myself booted for being percieved as rude. Lol! Some of the ignorant negative comments warrant a nasty reply and I am having a hard time holding my tongue. Anyway, I for one appreciate this update, and I appreciate that the cerakote company fixed the issues relatively quickly. This idea that they sent out thousands of these bottles as a beta test is absurd though. I am sure it costs money to make this stuff. And seriously, would they really purposely send out a defective product knowing Pan would be discussing it on his channel? My business is more related to window tonting, but we do coatings too. I see the same things on the tint side. If a film has a lower price point than the one they use, they assume its bad amd the people in those companies are too. A lot of them are very good though.
Well said. To even think a company would purposely release a faulty product is crazy to me. They had an issue, the figured it out with the help of feedback, took full responsibility for it and delivered on the promise to make a new version. Time will tell if they got it right, but for now all seems good.
I never even tried V1 due to the responses/experiences from people like yourself. And I ordered V1 due to your video. Would you recommend just throwing away V1 and not taking any chances of wasted time experimenting with it? Or in warm temperatures now in the summer, would it cure properly? It's in the 90's now every day here and mid 70's at night.
I would not apply V1 at this point. Ask Cerakote for version 2.0 If you had ordered the original black bottle version, and you were expecting to hear from Cerakote but didn’t, you can reach out to Cerakote at info@cerakoteceramics.com and they will get you taken care of right away with a free replacement kit of the new coating version which is now in a clear/frosted bottle.
I sent them an email as soon as I saw your video. Using my order number of course and it requested. Very good, thanks for the quick response. I will not use the version one and will simply throw it away.
hi pan, great video as always. very good to see that cerakote improve the coating and fix the problem of the v1.0 version. does cerakote also send out the v2.0 to the companies that have the free sample? in my case for europe
Thanks as well Pan suggesting possible reason for failure on version 1 because I knew you applied in perfect temperature yet it failed. The cold temperatures in your region versus here in SoCal make possible sense. Thanks for that insight. Hope it works been holding off applying to my new bmw until this version came out.
Man Pan, I tried the first version but after the debacle. I am one bitten twice shy. I hope folks have good luck with the product but I will be using others instead.
experienced a similar issue: I had my car coated last year with a new line of product from a well known coatings company but the hydrophobics ended up being pretty poor in the end. A few months ago I brought my car back to the detailer - one of the best in the Boston area - and they removed and reapplied the coating. Not sure what the exact problem was but the coating manufacturer stood by their warranty and shop stood by their work and saved me from a big headache.
Yeah it happens more often than people think. Sometimes you can also just get a bad batch of a product and that can be an issue too. Or the person who installed it. There are so many variables and ways for things to go wrong.
Brilliant update, Pan! Thank you! So very happy to see this! I got my replacement but I've yet to apply it, still waiting on the temperature here to reach 18c or even for the rain to stop for that matter! I used Fusso coat in the interim and as much as I love it, it's nothing compared to a ceramic coating. Can't wait to get the buckets and polisher out and get to work. I am disappointed that there is still no mention in the documentation about PH level tolerance though. Last thing I want to do is use Bilt Hamber Auto Foam and find it destroys the coating like it appeared to have done with my last (not Cerakote) coating.
Bilt Hamber Auto Foam is a super high pH 13 snow foam, and I would never recommend that for regular weekly washes. It would eventually weaken even the best of coatings, as you are at the limit of the chemical resistance of most coatings, which is around pH 3-12 in most cases. So it's no wonder that BH destroyed your previous coating. For regular weekly washes, stick to a pH neutral snow foam and soap. That's all you need to maintain a coating. Once in a while, like in spring, for a deeper clean, then you can use a high pH snow foam like BH Auto-Foam or my favourite, BH Touch-Less (new version is pH 10.5) or Koch Chemie Active Foam (pH 9.5) and an acidic soap like CarPro Reset (pH 6) for the contact wash. That should revive most coatings.
@@PanTheOrganizer Oh, of course! I've only used the auto foam a single time and that was enough to kill the coating. It wasn't till after the fact that I realised the coating was only rated up to a ph of 11... My fault for not checking first but I'm now super conscious of it. Hoping the Cerakote can handle it but having no stated rating is concerning. As you said, the Auto Foam is only for every 6 months or so for a deep clean with some Carpro Descale as the contact wash.

That new Rupes looks amazing. I'm using a Milwaukee Fuel 21mm for work which I love (albeit heavyish), but the newer, lighter stuff is calling my name. I've also been on the DIY Detail pad/polish combo to finish all corrections. Fantastic products I can't recommend highly enough.

They said they did. But they are located in Oregon (USA) and so they don't necessarily have the same conditions and weather like the much colder climates in Canada or North Eastern USA states for example. Not sure exactly what real world testing they did though, but for version 2.0, they told me they sent it out to people in different climates to test (I'm guessing from November when the issue was highlighted, until late April when the final version was released) so that gave them more data points to consider most probably.
@@PanTheOrganizer I suppose geography does limit the amount of real-world testing they can do themselves, but they can artificially create just about any environment. It's a fairly common practice for products like coatings. Oh well, at least they have a much improved v2.

Yes indeed!
AGREED
I have already received V2 replacements from Cerekote. I’m giving them a fair second chance because I liked the way they handled the issue with V1. Sometimes things don’t always turn out the way you want. I know I have made mistakes in detailing too. Thank you Pan for following up with the product. I think they got it right this time. They sent me replacements super fast with version 2. They reached out via email first which I appreciated. Bought three originally having installed 1, they sent me three no questions.
oh wait they send replacements?
Thanks for using DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish and DIY Detail Panel Prep
Diy detail is looking to be on its way to one of, if not the best detail company out there.
Fantastic combo. Saves a significant amount of time, which is everything if polishing pays the bills.
It works. :)
Wow!! Version 1 was just as desapointing!!! V2 nice that's is what we want
@@rayvalero8580 thank you!
I purchased a full case, they exchanged me a new full case! Amazing response! Props to Cerakote for being an incredible company! Thanks Pan! and the community for being such good people!
Great to hear!
👍🏻👍🏻
It speaks well for a company when they admit their mistakes and it speaks even higher for them when they react quickly to correct it. This is a great example of how to handle it when something doesn't work right.
I agree. I haven't seen many brands take ownership of mistakes and publicly admit to it, and then actually deliver on the promise of correcting the issue.
Thank you 👍🏻
@@CerakoteCeramicCoatingshi can v2 be applied on top of v1? (V1 that cured when it was applied).
Hey Pan. It's good that the company listened to the customers and improved their product and even better that you gave them a second chance and showed us (your viewers) also.
Thanks Ammar!
Same here, original formula going strong
Thanks for the update Pan. I'm glad i didn't purchase the first one. Good to see Cerakote back up their product by taking care of those who purchased the original formula.
Thanks for watching Richard.
This is great news Pan. My friend had version 1, and it indeed did fail also. He recently received version 2. I just passed this video on to him. We were just talking about this, this morning and that we haven’t seen an update on version 2 from you. I get home and there it was. Thank you for everything you do👍
It's like I read your mind! :)
Same results here Pan. It had a quicker cure time here since we are in tropical weather at an ambient temp of 28C and 61% humidity. Customer service of Cerakote is really top notch! Kaitlin such a big help!
Thanks for sharing!
Kaitlin is awesome. Kudos to her.
Thanks for the feedback Edmond!
Great to see a company that was honest about that fact that it got something wrong, did something about it, and did the right thing by its customers.
👍🏻
Fwiw, I applied version 1 and its been absolutely amazing for me. The gloss and slickness is fantastic and after 6 mos the hydrophobics are just as good as when I first applied. My success with the product could be because I'm in the pacific northwest which is where they're plant is located. I say that because they claim the failure was due to curing in certain climates.
Thanks for this update. I sent Cerakote an email and asked for a replacement as I was one of the first customers that purchased the original formula.
Nick996 we'll get you taken care of!
@@CerakoteCeramicCoatings Thanks..... I received my shipment this week. 👍
Hey Pam, what’s up? I received my kit. I applied it on my wife’s car the other bottle I applied it on a customer car. It’s been a month. Everything is 100% good. I am happy my customers happy.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Cool. Good to know! Was it the new v2?
👍🏻👍🏻
the term "industry disrupting" will never be the same after Cerakote V1 (aka Cherrycheeks) and Stoner's Iron Remover V1 (aka Stainer's).
I'm sure many companies will avoid using those terms in the future haha
In fairness, sending a defective product is definitely going to be disruptive to an industry. 🤣
I do like when a company is open and admit that their products aren't pure perfection. These kinds of companies i do feel way better about spending my money on.
Yes it was nice to see them take ownership of a mistake.
👍🏻
Nice to see the initial one month update performing well! Looking forward to seeing how long it last and long term update. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Good to know! How long has version one been applied for on cars you tested it on?
Thanks for sharing your experience Chris! Keep us posted on future durability.
You're welcome and thank you for being a good customer!
Hi Pan. I’m here in Quebec City and after requesting a replacement they shipped out FedEx Air which I received in 48 hours. That just blew me away. Hats off to Cerakote for taking responsibility and thank you for your reviews.
Good to know! 👍🏻
👍🏻 you’re welcome!
Thanks for sharing Robert!
Thanks!!
Thanks for being a customer, and for the great testimonial!
Thanks for sharing your experience! Keep us posted over the coming months. But yeah so far it seems version 2 is doing great.
Thanks for this video Pan. I never used the v1 kit, but just recently ordered and just received my v2 kit. Looking forward to applying.
Glad it was helpful!

Good to see they are quick to respond and correct issues.
I've been waiting for this update for months and now you have given us the news we have been waiting for Pan , back here in the Uk the summer time is more like autumn with rain and cold conditions still it's bloody awful.
Looking forward to trying it out once the sun shines .
Yes make sure you are above 18C temperature when applying this. Ideally 20-22C.
It seems that they are now in the right way.. but wait a while until I have tested it myself in the Netherlands. Thank you Pan for your test
Thanks!
Much better. Most people don't realize that EVERY company when releasing new products there is always issues. Show me another company going on social media and owning up 2 a mistake than remedy the problem.
Well said.

Thanks for the great review!
I would like to note using Cerikote's Rapid Ceramic Paint Sealant Spray as a topper is quite satisfying to use and their Trim Coat Kit is showing very good durability
Thank you Pan for your professionalism unskewed review and interviews. Gives us DIYers confirmation the formulas was a bit off and not necessarily incorrectly applied.
Thanks for your detailed comment. Nice to see people sharing their personal experience.
Thank you for the great testimonial to our products!
Super video!!! Excellent to see the way that you did the 2 square panels to get a really good idea as to how well the coating performed over the past months on the test areas compared to the whole door and bonnet. Glad to see that it indeed held up as well as it did. Lets see in another 6 months how its going
Glad you enjoyed it! And yeah I will try to do multiple updates over the coming months.
Thanks for watching Barry!
Hats off to them for owing it, and getting it right. If I wasn't such a turttle wax guy I would try this. Good video
Great Response from Cerakote. Happy for them. My testing was very much the same for V1 failed. V2 excellent
Excellent video and now I am excited to try the updated version Cerakote sent out. It was a bumpy ride but Cerakote is making progress. Now to wait and see how the coating holds up. Thank you for the video Pan and I hope you guys are doing well.
Thanks Neil. I hope you are doing well too.
Thanks for the update Pan. Had purchases v1 but did not apply it after hearing your comments about the possibility of failure. Just received the v2. Will be applying sometime in the near future. Thanks for the great follow up video. I was waiting to see if you were going to review v2 before deciding to apply it. Thanks
Thanks man! And thanks for the trust you place in my opinion.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the company and how well they handled the situation. Honestly just for that reason when I am able to save up i’m using cerakote just for this reason. I don’t care if it’s the best deal for the performance. Not sure how well it compares to others. But I really can’t wait
Thank you!
Thank you!
Pan, great video! Happy to see the update. I am actually prepping to put Cerakote 2.0 on my personal vehicle tomorrow. Finished compound step today and polish tomorrow followed by Cerakote ceramic coating. I’m excited to see and share the results!

Looks good so far. I'm happy to see this.
Well said.
Thank you! We’re looking forward to your review!
Thanks Pan. Reached out to them for replacement. Looking forward to apply this coating
Have a great weekend!
Thank you!
V2 has been amazing, coated my new car a few months ago and performing very well, the only problem I can see is that in the U.K. we don’t often get days warmer than 20*c 😊
Yeah they don't recommend applying in temps below 18.3C (65F)
What a big difference, thanks Pan 👍😁
You bet!
@@PanTheOrganizer i do live in finland, so pretty harsh climate. I applied the coating in the carage.
Yeah make sure to apply in temperatures of 18C or more (ideally 20-21C).

My question is, I have 2 shampoo one is the Adam’s graphene shampoo and the other shampoo is P&S pearl shampoo, am I good with those or to be safe should I get some ph neutral with no adds.
Btw the pearl shampoo I use more for foam cannon
Thank you! Have a good day
Thank you have a good day
Good to see they are offering free replacement or refund.
Great video! As a consumer I will be willing to give them a chance, it sure seems like as a company they are doing everything to make this right.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
I haven't used the original formula , but I ordered the new one the other day and should have it Mon. 5/10.
Cool!
Been waiting for this video , I just got the new bottles can't wait to use them
Cool! Keep me posted on performance. ;)
Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend man.

Hey Pam good morning thank you for reviewing this. I've been messaging you to see if you had tested it out yet I was waiting to use it once they sent me my new V2 version and now I definitely can go ahead and use it. I appreciate your video
Thanks!
@@PanTheOrganizer I've always appreciated detailers online who actually just go for the truth and test products. There are people out here such as me who detail that pray and hope our clients aren't out there throwing acid and wheel cleaner on the paint of their vehicles just to make a product fail. We don't know what our clients will do with their cars but we just hope they're not doing silly stuff like that
This video makes me hopeful for the company.
It sure is nice to see a company take full responsibility and actually promise to make things right and deliver on that promise.
Hi Pan, can we apply the cerakote on a ppf?
Thanks, as always!
Yes you can! Paint, wheels, glass, PPF and vinyl wraps.
Thank you for the supportive words!
Awesome video Pan I appreciate this video I ordered my replacement

I never even tried V1 due to the responses/experiences from people like yourself. And I ordered V1 due to your video. Would you recommend just throwing away V1 and not taking any chances of wasted time experimenting with it? Or in warm temperatures now in the summer, would it cure properly? It's in the 90's now every day here and mid 70's at night.
I would not apply V1 at this point. Ask Cerakote for version 2.0

Anyone who had ordered the first version can get free replacements.
If only due diligence was done on the first version before advertising it to the world.
Thanks I was waiting for V2 and feedback to use it ! Thanks Pan
Thanks for watching!
experienced a similar issue: I had my car coated last year with a new line of product from a well known coatings company but the hydrophobics ended up being pretty poor in the end.

Thanks for sharing!
Well done. Love your practical results oriented approach

I have to wonder if Cerakote didn’t do any real-world testing with v1. Surely they would have noticed what everyone else did.
