    Thanks for uploading. Yours is the best video I could find on YT. I have a 17 Fifty, so it's getting close to change time. I subbed as well 👍

      @Sandkei definitely make it easier. It's really not bad to do. Mine cranks over super fast now!

    Thanks for the video. Did all the car settings erase after replacing the battery?

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @kamranrahmatnejad5640 no I don't think they did. The radio usually has a little capacitor to hold memory functions

    You are wrong about the vent hose and connection. All interior mounted batteries require a vent hose. My 2016 2SS came with an AGM battery and it had a vent on it. The vent pipe connection is an elbow and I left mine in the old battery. It fits in a hole on the side of the battery. My Interstate AGM replacement battery has a vent hole on both sides. You have to remove the old vent from the old battery and then install the little elbow that the vent hose hooks to. NO BODY MENTIONS THIS ON ANY VIDEO I HAVE SEEN. Yes, the AGM battery requires a vent hose! I am shocked by the number of wrong answers on this. Good luck finding anyone who even has a clue SO DON'T LOSE THE OLD FITTING!!! MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE IT FROM THE OLD BATTERY or else you can buy a new complete vent hose assembly for $28 from dealer!

    How did you keep all the digital items powered up during the swap so as not to lose all that data?

      Usually the radio has a little capacitor that holds the settings.

    I change mine (original from 2017 ss) to the ACDELCO 48AGMHR and when I do the crank test it says “cranking low” “cranking time 2967 ms”…why is that on a new battery?

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd make sure it's fully charged with trickle charger and try again.

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The camaro isn't my daily driver so if I'm not using I keep it on a triple charger. But I can let it sit 2 weeks with no charger and it starts just fine

    You gloss over the drain valve

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The AGM battery I got doesn't have drain hose as it's sealed.

      It is not a drain hose! It is a vent hose and ALL interior mounted batteries(AKA trunk) are required by Federal Law to have a vent hose!! My 2016 2 SS has one and the fitting that mounts to the battery and attaches to the hose must be removed from the old battery!!! If you don't, you will have to buy a new complete vent assembly for $28.

    • @DavidSprinkle-n5q
      @DavidSprinkle-n5q 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      ALL batteries, AGM or Lead Acid, people are mistating that AGM batteries do not need the vent hose. Wrong! My new INterstate AGM replacement battery has a vent hole on both sides where the fitting goes.
