The alcohol in the CeraVe Vitamin C is absolutely not enough to be drying, it's there as a penetration enhancer, it's downfall is how crazy fast it oxidizes. So sick of Alcohol in skincare being demonized, it's utterly not true!

I believe it comes to seeing the type of skin one has. If a person is extremely dry skinned, then denatured alcohol can worsen the situation. But I also think formulation is the main thing: if denatured alcohol is paired with harmonizing hydrating ingredients, then it should be fine 😀
@@MatMat-qi2rd totally agree, my main issue is that the people that demonize it flat out demonize it. The vitamin C serum works for me and never dried my skin out and honestly it helped me achieve a better complexion but then again everyone has different needs and skin type, I have moderate oily skin.
Cerave vitamin C works so well for my oily skin , I’ve tried many brands and most don’t work well for oily skin, for me it’s 8/10 easy and never caused any dryness to my skin .
My personal Cerave must-haves: cream in a jar + SA cream + european version of sunscreen SPF 50 + Night cream (unfortunately not yet available in EU) + both retinol serums. (I was used to buying their cleanser for dry skin, but I am not anymore as it started make my skin feel dry...)
Still searching for a replacement for their night cream in my routine, and I'm continually disappointed. Nothing I've tried from "more ethical" brands seems capable of fully moisturizing my dry, dehydrated, rosacea-prone skin without triggering irritation.
If that cream is the only thing that works for your skin and the rest of your routine is more ethical products, just use it. You're already reducing your harm in so many ways in the rest of your routine, and youve only got one life to live. No reason your skin should suffer just because of one product.
I just bought that sunscreen today. Dr drey recommended it in one of her videos and I’ve been looking for a good one. Hopefully it’s good on my skin because I’m so tired of buying/trying to find a sunscreen that will work for me

It’s just the risk isn’t worth the reward when you can get other penetration enhancers without such a high risk of irritation
Alcohol shouldn't be in any skincare. Ill never understand why they put it in spfs

Same here, I have dry rosacea prone skin and haven’t had a problem.
I do love the SA cleanser. I struggle with exfoliating acids so I use this every morning.
Cerave Moisturizing cream in winters and Moisturizing lotion in summers keeps my skin hydrated and supple.
