That was definitely worth the effort. And you're getting your money's worth out of the knobblies again. The MP on the marker posts stands for the Latin phrase "milia passuum" meaning "a thousand steps". It represents a Roman mile, and the Romans used to put it on many of their distance markers.
@luddite6239 it was funny I came up onto the track with the mileposts that bridges the spine of the hills, I'd like to find where that road begins or ends...
very impressive, both the goldstar's tenacity and your bravery taking it there it was definitely a bold move, can't help but think BSA should be paying you for showing their bike in such a positive light😀
Haha thank you Steven but I don't think BSA will be paying me anytime soon. I do really like the bike and I hope the brand can get past the current bad press.
Looks good, we used to go to Burgos for a weekend treat, paradors of course, we also had a Mitsubishi 4x4 for going up mountain trails with a trailer for wood for our log burner, and in the snowy times, I would go out with a Spanish guy called Pedro Sanchez He knew lots of routes, it’s a great life and living the dream, I still do it every day living on the edge of the Lake District, Morecambe bay to be precise, thanks for the video Sean, great work Ted
Another great installment Sean. Really enjoying the way that the channel is developing to include items such as bike touring and not just bike reviews. Really inspiring me to try something similar next year.
Thank you so much Wayne, really appreciate that feedback. You can't please everyone, as I well know but bike reviews are a little repetitive these days so I wanted to expand a little. Really appreciate the vote of confidence 👍
Amazing views Sean And great to see the chest view that’s always my favourite view😊😊😊 Wow sunshine and heat stunning 😍 Great series As always phil green
Thanks Phil, I don't know what it is with the DJI camera and Goldie seating position but the helmet view seems to overshoot the clocks and misses all the nice parts of the bike 😀. They do say however that the colours out of camera are better on the GoPro 12/13
@ Go Pro 12 is very good The clock view to me especially on my bikes to me is far better and stable unlike the helmet camera moving left and right and missing the bike. Glad I put that post in Gold Star owners the other day saw you liked it 😊😊👍
Thanks Malcolm, yes I'm thinking just to soften up the front a little and it will he the perfect trail bike. I don't need high ground clearance in fact I like being able to get my feet down 😀. She can't cross water however because there's some electrical gubbins down below the engine. Thanks
Great video Mindful and really pleasing to see you enjoy the bike after your modifications. Being able to look after your machine and let it take you where you want to go is what motorcycling is all about. Cheers man
Bloody hell Sean i enjoyed that ride into no where, albeit i was getting a little worried with the terrain and the sun going down. Glad we didnt see any bears so i guess we ride again. Cheers and thanks, bfn Mike Sunny Wales .
What a great advert for the BSA and it's capabilities and of course your riding skills after the negativity on YT this week surrounding the bike. I didn't realise I needed another G-Shock watch until you put yours on screen with the altitude sensor on it😎. Oh well I might as well make it 8 as that's a lucky number in China!
Yes I suppose my BSA on a 72 plate I might add one of the early ones, seems to be bucking the trend and just keeps going and going. No complaints from me. Oh and G shock, yes a Christmas present 2 years ago and very much used and enjoyed. I'm a casio fan from my school days!
Another beautiful day on the bike. There must be a reason we choose to live on this crowded island but I can't think of it at the moment. I reckon the enfield bear 650 might suit you perfectly as your next bike but the bsa does look good up there.
You're the second person Walt to suggest the Bear 650, I am going to see it in the metal in 1 week at the NEC show. I'll likely do a video on my thoughts...
Thanks Trev for the kind feedback. Tour content seems to appeal to less people overall but I know some people get a lot of enjoyment out of it so happy to make it. If you're happy with my amateur efforts then so I am 😀😄. Thank you
Hi, I've just recently found your channel and thoroughly enjoying the tour of Spain, so many thanks for sharing. The BSA appears to be behaving impeccably, one in the eye for all those Haters out there 😆 Enjoy & ride safe.
Nice one Sean great watch with some fab scenery sorry to hear you got ripped off in that way unfortunately these days their are so many people out to rip others off , personally I would never buy off Facebook certainly without checking the item out first .Those Paradors really are so nice and it's such a good idea to use old buildings in this way fantastic and much enjoyed .👌👍
Thanks Crumbly for the comment, oh 100% we will never buy off Facebook again always a genuine company with a credit card for the protection that affords... the paradors are in the best locations I would recommend them especially if staying with your wife/partner as it's quite an experience. Cheers, Sean
Thank you, yes I am using the original suspension. If there was a kit to change it I think I would. I am also waiting for the BSA Scramber because that might have interchangeable parts that could he used on my bike....
Morning Sian, cracking hotel mate, watch out doing those u turns you may get in the way of traffic !!!!!!! We found central Spain was virtually traffic free we rode for hours sometimes and not see a car magical. Please go steady mate by yourself on the tracks just in case you go arse over tit, but definitely see the attraction. Brilliant views mate, just stand and stare beautiful, hopefully gonna be me next year 👍 …. Pete 🇫🇷

@@MindfulMotorcyclist I assume that will be September 2034…. It’s an illness you know. I can’t tell you how many bikes I’ve had, the men from Bellevue would turn up with a straight jacket.
Love the way you said I've not seen a soul up here when you'd also not seen a soul when in that town. Do they only come out at night or does anybody actually live in Spain.
As above there are umpteen bike reviews channels, it's fun to ride new bikes admittedly but it's not sustainable, you are competing for new models and it's also not that creative rehashing talking points/stats. If a bike comes my way I'll ride it, but likely won't even term it a review, more of an experience of that bike... anyway if bike reviews are your thing you're not short of options! Cheers...

Lovely views, well done, I bet that was outside your comfort zone. I’m not sure alone, I’d have gone any further.
I was pushing the envelope for me to be honest, silly as that sounds to a proper trail rider....
