Dude, nice video! I am Brazilian, this is absolutely normal where I came from, hahaha, Once I was chased by a group of 20 dogs, big dogs, and the fun thing is, if you stop, they stop running after you, so I had to stop and push my bike like 200 meters, get up fast and run away, hahaha

I was absolutely taken by the pacing of your commentary, this kind of narrative story telling with video is not that common among the "TH-camr" community on so many levels. Really well done, and as I've said before, Spain is stunning, thank you for taking us along.

Thank you Richard, by the way I am still really learning how to tell a story. I don't know whether to record it at the time like I do or to 'voiceover' the footage. I'll keep practicing as I think it could be a good skill to work on... Thanks for the kind comment.

You needs a Suzuki sv650 in your life Sean, a nice v twin. You can pick up cheap one a couple of years old. The last batch of these bikes have just been delivered to the dealerships. Sadly the end of the v twins. thanks for sharing your adventures Sean.

Great video Sean great commentary, and quite like the RS 650 personally the Honda is probably superb but looks just like a Honda 🤣 yeah watch out for the bulls mate especially the ones that look like they take out bull fighters for breakfast 😳 I’d be definitely sticking to the roads mate, but well done you, go steady mate 👍 ….. Great stuff, yes I have done that in our Suzuki Jinny, Jeep, tried once solo on a Dr 350 but the hounds got the bettter of me, used to go that area for a day ride out, stop at the auto us station in poets for a coffee and breakfast bun, loved it, your darn good at this vid stuff, as winter is iminent think I need to get editing the stuff I have of the Lake District, thanks again NW biker dude alias Bay Bimbler

Well the hounds certainly got the better of me too. I would love a little Suzuki DRZ4 the new one for tracks like this but would it be as good on the road sections? Did you use your DR350 on the road much? Thanks 👍 Edit: yes much better to start editing over the winter when you can't get out and film half as much...

Some superb views. For myself, sub 900cc is ideal, although I have owned 3 1100 cruisers. A 1980 Kawasaki Z650 was one of my favourite bikes but I haven't ridden the new one.
I am tempted by the Bear 650 and have had notification from my RE dealer that they are taking orders. I need to try one out first.

Thank you Haxan, appreciate that. I'd go for a smaller capacity lighter bike every time, for the kind of riding I do... Do you think Bear will outsell Classic 650? I'm interested in peoples opinions...

Interesting video , glad you got passed the dogs okay. Look forward to the next one. I looked at the z650rs quite liked it but ended up with a Triumph Trident which I really like. Another option for you could be a Yamaha XSR 700.

I'm with you on the potential future bike choices. Being an individual instead of an adventure bike rider clone and all the accessories you think you need on it. Ask me how I know.
However, one accessory I have found really valuable is a thing called Indimate, which sends an indicator clicking sound to your headset. I used to be just like you with the indicators. Very easy to set up. I have no connection with the supplier by the way. You could do with an air horn strapped to your handlebars for the dogs!
    Keep up the good work.

Well, those dogs certainly don't keep a welcome in the hill sides do they?🤨 You did well keeping the bike under control with that going on whilst controlling a fairly heavy bike on rough track.🤗

Mate, stick with you've got, the Gold Star just invokes a slow meandering riding style; time to spot things as well as natter. The recent spate of trashing the Gold Star does not jade my opinion of said bike. I sold my CFMOTO 700 MT just before leaving Portugal as the bike was plated Portugal and I'm selling up, it was a great bike with phenomena smooth power and road holding but way too big for out here. The dogs are only doing their job and if the flock had not been so close to the road they would not have bothered you; scary all the same😮

    • @MindfulMotorcyclist
      @MindfulMotorcyclist  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Thanks Bob, you know much as it is popular to change bikes for a 'channel' and to keep things fresh I can't see myself parting with the Goldstar. It just suits me so well and 652cc is enough if you know what I mean.

I had the same problem trying to get out to follow me and since have learnt that you have to let it find you first then push record if that makes sense.
Brill vlog mate, I would have got in a wiggy about the price of eggs there lol.
Lovely picture on the camera. The hornet is a good bike but very "racy".
You may think 47hp may not be enough but I can recommend the Honda CL500.... Try to have a go on one, it's really good fun after you settle into it. Super reliable and cheap to run. Looks are subjective but it has alot of character and Brill for laning as well, that's my recommendation as mentioned in the video.
The kawasaki is cool aswell but I haven't had a go on one yet.

  • @leegreveson

I'd love Honda to do a proper retro in the 500cc range (lower tax than a 650) but Kawasaki might be doing their RS in a lower cc too. I wanted the Z650RS but insurance was too high as a new rider. Maybe next year or wait for a smaller cc RS 🙄 I never use the full potential of my 650, it does seem a bit wasted on me to be honest 😂 Why not sell your Triumph instead?
Update ! Just read today Honda will be shipping the CB350 to the UK next year, fingers crossed a 500cc version follows suit 🤞🏻

I wasn’t convinced that this was the bike for mountain passes… I realise the main camera was chest-mounted, but it looked a very stony and unpleasant surface, but I guess if you enjoyed it that’s OK.
I wouldn’t kick out at dogs, as the pendulum effect will see you and the bike sprawled on the ground… I’d be inclined to make noise yourself which might scare/surprise them. Anyway, it’s all ‘in the can’ now, so we’ll see how you get on!

A "naked" bike?! Say it ain't so! The proper and more adult term to use is "Standard" motorbike. Who save a (Portmanteau ALERT!) sophomoronically priapic yooot would tell another human being that they own and ride a "naked" motorbike? I bite my thumb a such creatures! The Hornet and Z650R both have nigh on useless passenger accommodations with the wHornet (LOL!) being the worser of the two.
Bikes are an investment in yourself. I tell folk that in general I tend to keep my bikes at least 10 years. I get my money's worth by keeping, riding and enjoying myself.
I like dogs but not when they're on duty like those were. I look forward to more of this ride! Thank you!
