Since when is it the policy of a newspaper to publish the name and address of a witness to a crime? Wouldn't that just discourage other witnesses form coming forward?
Great writers on this show, but on many occasions they goofed, in this instance they goofed bigtime, the release of a witnesses name and address is one big goof by the writers, newspapers and many types of media cannot simply release that type of information without consent

I remember seeing a newspaper clipping from when my Aunt got married in the early 60's. It had a picture of her (as well as other newlywed brides) and stated her name and the street she lived on. I don't think it had the number though. I remember being surprised that they published the street where newlywed brides lived. This was a northeast NJ paper.
it was kind of normal back in the day. Look up old newspaper and they would sometime publish address.

When it comes to Archie's eternal tormentor Michael, a.k.a. "Meathead," I love when Archie shot him down with, "Why is it you remember everything I say? Except how to work!!" Archie was a Bigot. Michael was a Holier Than Thou Pain in The Ass. Make that an Unemployed, Holier Than Thou Pain In The Ass!! He was an entertaining Pain in the Ass though. Just like the rest of this All World cast. Most of all the incomparable Jean Stapelton. The Artist who portrayed Archie's martyred wife Edith. Archie's loveable Dingbat never ceases to drive him up the Proverbial tree. "Arch, do you know the circulation of that Newpaper?" Edith chimes in, "Two Million!!" Anybody as Bigoted and Obstinate as Archie deserves to have his buttons pushed. An entire panel of them!! All in The Family is among the three best Sitcoms of all time. My third choice is this legendary show. Sanford and Son is my second pick. My all time favorite is the fabulous Andy Griffith Show. This while the peerless Don Knotts was on the show as the Bumbling, Loveable Barbey Fife. These three shows set the Gold Standard and every other Standard for Comedic Excellence. Lofty company indeed.
