Honestly, Elise, I know you love your knitting and crocheting, but you are definitely a Documentary Filmmaker!! I so enjoy your videos, in particular the personal ones!! I'm relieved to see that your son is doing well! He's had a rough road and he's a real peach about it!! God Bless you and your family and Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much, Vickie! It's been a long road and he never complains. He is the best human I know and I'm so grateful I get to be his momma. 🧶❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹
I am watching this on Mother's Day 2024 and couldn't keep from crying. I can totally understand the panic that comes from not having your knitting to hand when you have hours of waiting ahead of you. I'm so glad your son's surgery went well and that you all survived the ordeal. Thank you for sharing this experience. Happy Mother's Day!
So glad your son’s surgery was a success ❤. A few years ago my daughter had to have a benign tumor, that was resting on her brain stem, removed. I took a book with me but I never opened it. A college friend of hers came with me and she talked nonstop. I mean nonstop 😂 for the 6 hour surgery. At the end of the day my head was pounding and it wasn’t until I was in the car going home that I started shaking. All is well with her though, and she doesn’t have to go back for scans anymore 😊
Oh I'm so glad your daughter is doing well now. I cannot imagine the nonstop talking during the surgery. My husband and I barely said a word. It was just something we had to get through, we kept looking at the clock and thankfully it was over quickly. Thanks for sharing your experience! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
I’m so glad that your son’s surgery went well! Having a project with you helps so much, but a time of prayer and quiet is priceless. Happy Thanksgiving weekend ☺️🦃💕……Karen from Greenleaf Idaho
Good morning, Elise! So happy that your son is doing well! I noticed your Rosary beads. You may not realize it, but praying on your Rosary is very soothing. It’s hard to ‘let go and let God’ but it’s easier with our Rosary in our hands. Believe me, I know - and I learned from my late mother. You could tell if she was having a bad day because of the sound of her Rosary beads in her pocket - the bigger the worry, the faster and louder came the sound of her Rosary beads! God bless you and your family! 🙏☺️💕
I’m so glad Jackson is doing well. On a knitting note, you may have heard about a knitting life line, but I thought I’d pass this along in case you haven’t. After you have completed the first row of the pattern, you weave a separate piece of long yarn through all the stitches. Then you continue with the remainder of the pattern, that way if you make a mistake, it’s much easier to pull back the yarn to your life line. Let me know if this makes sense. This technique has saved my sanity many times. 😊
It is the fact you have Holy God with you that you could deal with such a time of your son in the situation he was. I love your knitting. I have a Norwegian grandmother, in which I never met, she was deceased by the time I came around. But I still cherish the heritage she brought into my family.
Thank you so much. It was God who got me through this entire ordeal, I have no doubts. And that's so wonderful that you carry those traditions with you! ❤️🩹🧶🙏🏻
Oh boy, I probably would have found one of those Wal-Mart superstores and bought yarn and hooks and just sat and mindlessly crocheted or knitted. I'm not great at sitting without something to do, especially when I'm stressed. It looks like you had a lovely Thanksgiving, your in-laws have a lovely house and the food looked amazing. I hope your son continues to recover well. ❤ My younger brother was diagnosed with a heart condition when he was in his late teens (he had epilepsy too) and he had open heart surgery when he was 23. He's 53 now and still doing great!
What a sweet video. Your son looks so much like you. This video made me tear up sooooo much. Your cardigan, button band and buttons are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! love, hugs, prayers to you. Love the scenery, too. :)
I'm glad your son's surgery went well. Thank you for sharing your experience. I love the cardigan you are making. It is beautiful! What an accomplishment that will be.
I’m watching this in early July in 2024 and in tears. Your son is so sweet. I have been there with my kids going thru hospital procedures (nothing as serious as a pacemaker but serious enough). I’ve just bing-watched a bunch of your videos and was not expecting to cry. I relate very hard to not having something to occupy my mind and hands in times of stress. I hope your son is doing well with his pacemaker! Blessings on you and yours. 💗🌸
Prayers for your son's speedy recovery. I'm glad everything went well. I also cannot just sit. My hands always have to be busy knitting, crocheting or sewing. Your cardigan is looking lovely. Follow whatever instructions you are given for blocking the sweater...it will make the cardigan look totally professional. Blessings to you all.
So pleased your son got through his surgery, God bless. Look forward to seeing your new knitting project, like you I need to keep my hands busy and your work is so inspiring
Glad your son’s surgery was a success. He seems like such a nice young man and such a trooper about it all! Perhaps it was better that you forgot your cardigan project at home - it definitely looks like a pattern that would take a lot of concentration that you might not have had during your son’s surgery. It’s g going to be a fantastic cardigan for you and such an achievement. Beautiful buttons and button band 😍 I too have perfectionism issues but, you know, watching some of your videos and you sharing about how it’s kept you from doing things and how you’ve been battling that has given me inspiration 😊
Thank you so much and I think you're right. I wouldn't have had the focus needed! Perfectionism is something I battle a lot, but boy it makes life better when that's no longer the goal!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
I certainly understand taking a project bag with you to appointments, etc! I usually have a small cotton dish cloth going! It’s just enough stitches in garter stitch to make a nice sized square to wash dishes with. It’s what I call mindless knitting, so I can stop anytime I need to and continue with ease! So thankful your son is doing well! Thanks for sharing! Many prayers for you and your family!
I understand this so well! Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with Celiac's disease about ten years ago. We had so many hospital visits for tests and treatments! I would always pack a craft bag to keep me busy! I think if I was going several hours away like that, I would say "if we pass a Walmart, I'll run in for a few skeins of yarn and a hook..." I could pull a simple amigurumi pattern from Ravelry and work on that.
That would have been a good idea! I don't know that I could have focused on anything for that two days. There was so much going on and the room was teeny tiny!! I hope your daughter is ok now! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
I love your videos so much and I’m always looking forward to the next one. My prayers are with your family and in particular your son. I hope you are enjoying this weekend and resting after a stressful week.
Congratulations on this important time with your son, your Thanksgiving, the visit to the wedding venue, and showing us your Norwegian sweater-in-process! A combination of nerve-wrenching time, spiritual contemplation, and overwhelming great LOVE! Thank you for sharing. Blessings!❤
Praying your sons surgery has been successful ❤. Your knitting project looks very difficult but beautiful. When you showed the button band I felt panicked. I hope you have time to catch up to your class. Your daughter looks just like a mini you.
Prayers for you and your family! I'm happy to hear that your son is doing well! I can certainly empathize with you about using the knitting and crochet to cope with a waiting during surgery. My husband goes in for a quintuple bypass and afib correction surgery coming up soon. I'm not sure that I would be able to handle the long surgery stress without something to distract me. Thank you for being you and providing all of your viewers amazing content each week!
Awwww, my heart goes out to you!! Put your project by the door so you don't forget it when you leave for the hospital!! 😂 Your husband's surgery sounds like it will be much longer than my son's was! Good luck to you all!! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Jackson is AWESOME I'm so so happy it all went well 🙏 You and Steve are such great parents Elise, seriously your kids are a credit to you. Stay strong my lovely, sending hugs your way ❤️😘
Your family is in my prayers. ❤ I know the stress and heartache you’ve been going through as my adult son has ongoing medical needs. Crocheting definitely helps calm my mind when I’m coming unglued. Thank you for continuing to share your amazing videos with us!
I am so glad that all went well for Jackson. How grateful I am that we live in a world of amazing medical procedures, keeping our loved ones well. Your Norwegian jumper will be a work of art when it is finished - how darling are those buttons? Sending hugs to you all from the chilly UK xx
Your son is so sweet and I think looks just like you! Happy he’s going to do so well. I know sometimes it’s hard to be strong for your children. Hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as mine! I’m sure it was with your beautiful family!❤❤❤
you went by my house going to Duke. Duke has been a blessing to me and my Husband, too. I could have given you some yarn and a needle. We're still in the Duke system with our Drs. here. I know how you felt. Jackson looks like he came thru like a Champ. He has a wonderful since of humor and atitude. I know you are so proud of him.
Thank you so much!! It's not a bad drive up there either. It is such a blessing to have such good doctors so close. 💙💙💙 Jackson always has such a good attitude and the best sense of humor!! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Many blessings to you and your family. Your Cardigan looks amazing. I know you can do it, keep pushing forward. The venue looks like some of the places here in Texas,up in the Hill Country . I love you channel. I learn so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and recommending so many wonderful crochet artists . It keeps Me inspired . ❤️
Thank you for the beautiful video. A great reminder to us all to surrender. You didn't need your knitting after all! Mother Mary held you close instead. So glad your son is doing well and that thanksgiving was day of rest for you.💙💙💙💙🙏🙏
Thank you so much. The Rosary has gotten me through so many tough moments these past few years. Thanksgiving was extra special this year for sure! Hope you had a wonderful one as well, Nancy! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹
Wow what a lot you have all been through in your family! Glad it is all behind you now, especially for Jackson who seemed very calm and accepting. Prayer makes such a difference as God is always loving and supporting us when we trust him. Just as well you left such challenging ( but gorgeous) knitting behind as you probably would have had a lot of errors to unravel!😊
That's exactly what I thought, it was probably a good thing I left it at home, I would have made too many mistakes! Thanks so much for the kind words! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Glad to see Jackson doing well! I would have been a basket case! The cardigan looks so pretty and those buttons! Can't wait to see what it looks like when you have it finished. Your daughter's wedding venue is amazing! It'll be beautiful by the time her wedding rolls around.
I’m so glad your son’s procedure went well!! 🙏🏻 Your cardigan is looking beautiful and I can’t wait to see it finished! Also, those buttons and button band are gorgeous!! 😍
All the best for your son! You all have been through quite a bit with his health issues. May you all have a lovely, relaxed and catastrophe-free Christmas season! Love from Germany 🥰
So, so thankful that your son’s surgery went well. I loved the part of the two of you talking in the hotel room. He just seems so positive and kind. What a wonderful family you have. I think you’ll get a kick out of this. I was watching this video with my husband and he was shocked that he recognized your husband from several nascar related TH-cam videos that he watches. My husband is a big nascar fan and I’m a big crocheter. We’re in Raleigh and his family members are all medical staff at Duke, so we know what a great facility it is. Such a small world. 😊 Have a very merry Christmas!
Thank you so much! He is the sweetest boy!! That's so funny!!! Yes, that's my husband!! Very small world!! I'll have to tell him, he will love that! ❤️❤️❤️
So glad your son is doing well now! I’m crying as my maternal instincts are kicking in, even though it’s not my child. The good thing about knitting and crocheting is that they’re always there for you when you’re ready and want them. The Kofta is going to be absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see it finished! Congratulations to your daughter and future son in law! How exciting!! Thank you for sharing your family with us. 💜🧶
Thank you so very much!! It was probably a good thing I left my knitting project at home. It's a project I have to focus on and that would have been impossible at the hospital! And thank you about the kofte and our future son-in-law! We are very excited!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet When I saw how complicated the knitting was, I agreed with you that it was best left at home - who knows how many rows you’d have to frog! 😂😂😂 💜💜💜🧶🧶🧶
I feel your anguish. I have been in similar, not identical (my mother, not my son) project-forgotten situation. I drew thank you cards for the amazing staff with pens/pencils I had & the stationary paper in her room. Not the same as the cross-median soothing activity, but it kept me from jumping out of my own skin & taking any focus from her comfort/recovery. It reminds me of the wonderful Colonel Brandon in Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility saying “give me an occupation, lest I run mad.” Anyhoo, it’s all trivium compared to the blessing of having it all go well in that operating room & afterwards. I’m so glad it went well. I know this message comes from months after this event. Hopefully, this can be a reminder of how blessed our lives truly are. ❤
Prayers for Jackson, and all of you. Recently found you when I decided to take on Amigurumi and LOVE your videos! Hope to try knitting again sometime in the future. Take care of that beautiful boy, AND don’t forget to take care of YOU!
I love the movie where the crawdads sing. I also read the book too. Read the book first. I was in love with that book from the 1st page. So glad your son is doing well. I can't imagine the stress you've been under.
I read the book first too. Absolutely loved it. I also thought they did a great job with the movie! It looked exactly how I saw her world in my mind! 📚📚📚
Oh Elise, what an adventure you three went on. I'm so glad your son's surgery went well. Biggest hugs to you! Not getting to keep your hands busy as a worried mama is rough😪 I would've wanted to run into a yarn store too, hehe
I’m so glad your son is ok. I watched the video you included in this video and I can’t believe his own medication was making him sicker. That sweater is going to be a work of art! I love the colors! Lately, I’ve started two mitered square blankets, one is called Domino baby blanket and the other is coziest memory. I really enjand I didn’t think I would. Also, I’ve been making key fobs from patterns free on TH-cam and that takes up a lot of mental space because the pattern is new to me and I really love them! Take care! Rosy
That's awesome, Rosy!! I need to look up those blanket projects!! They sound amazing!! And yes, he was so so very sick in January 2021 and we had no idea. It's been a long (almost) two years and it feels like it is finally over. ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
I’m so glad the surgery came out well. I have forgotten my knitting before I just find the nearest Walmart and buy more. In fact I’ve done this so many times that I now have a knitting project in both vehicles that I work on only in the car. I also have spare needles etc in the glove box 😂 The mountains are just gorgeous! I live pretty close to Mount Rainier I love it. My son lives in Raleigh North Carolina. When I visit I’ll have to have him take us there. ❤❤
Hello Elise 👋👋. All I seem to do at the hospital 🙏. My husband has had a lot of surgeries. His heart. Broken arm.stay safe and healthy. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Thank you so much! We really do have so much to be thankful for. I'm not very good at recognizing it sometimes, but I'm working on it!! Happy Thanksgiving!! ❤️🩹🧶🦃
I hadn’t thought about how nerve-wracking it can be to be waiting on the other side of the OR doors. My mom had surgery almost a decade ago, but it was my turn back in June/July - and I’m up for surgery again next year! Next time I’ll have to be more mindful of my parents’ feelings, because I’m sure they were stressed!
Awwww, yes, it is incredibly stressful as a parent. I would gladly have taken his place because selfishly it would have been easier for me. Nothing makes me more anxious than my kids not being well. God luck on your upcoming surgery! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Wow! You sure had a roller coaster of a holiday! As far as your knitting project is concerned, sometimes the Lord purposely puts distractions out of our way, so that we can focus more on him and his work in our lives. Congratulations to your daughter and best wishes and healing to your son, and keep up the good work sister! Loving you from Pennsylvania!
Hi Elise, Thank you for sharing- I hope you and your family had a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🥧 I’m so glad to hear all went well for Jackson and the surgery went well. And your daughters wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful that place is really beautiful ⛪️ God bless you all. Your Kofte is going to be stunning, I will one day learn how to knit but for now I’ll just admire your work 😍 Take care and stay safe and warm. God bless 🙏🏼💗😊🧶
Thank you so much!! It was a wonderful thanksgiving knowing our son was through the surgery and back home. So much to be thankful for this year. ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Your son is so handsome 😍... Elise your videos are so useful to me...I have watched all your videos and now iam rewatching your old ones..❤ Iam a yarn addict like you and very soon will be opening an online amigurumi shop..thanks to your videos which inspired me to keep going. Sending you Lots of love and blessings ❤❤
I am happy , your son’s surgery went well . I can understand you wanted your knitting , but I don’t think you could really concentrate on it . The place your daughter is going to get married at , is gorgeous!! Have a wonderful blessed, thanksgiving weekend 🦃🍁❤️
I'm really glad he's okay. Let him know I'm sending good wishes/thoughts to him from New Jersey, :) Honestly, I think your assessment was right. That knitting project, (while looking gorgeous so far,) was probably better left at home. It seems like the kind of thing that would have stressed you out more if you tried to work on it during a hospital stay. Can I suggest you just keep a bag of random yarn and a spare crochet hook or knitting needles in the car? That way, you always have something in a stressful situation, but there's no pressure to work on something that's supposed to follow directions. If you want, you can just single crochet back and forth the entire time to keep your hands busy. Also, that wedding venue looks beautiful!
Thank you so much, Kate! I will definitely tell him! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹 I love your suggestion! I think something like that would be wonderful to always have in the car!! We really liked the venue and it will look gorgeous this summer with everything in bloom! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
So happy your baby made it through surgery ok! (I know he's a grown man but they are always our babies no matter the age!) I do a form of healing called Reiki. I will happily send healing and good intentions to your son, if you all are comfortable with that. Some religions may not be comfortable with what I do, so if that's the case I completely understand. Wish you and your entire family all the best. Happy Holidays!🥰🖤🙏
Hi😃, so happy that the surgery went well. I understand the stress you have experienced, especially forgetting your knitting project in this kind of situation🥺. It looks really beautiful by the way 😍. I just do the same, crocheting or doing something while "listening" tv 😆. Love from France to you and your family 💜
I'm glad you made it through without your project. You likely would have had trouble knitting under your stress and have made more mistakes. I'm glad his surgery went well. I got my pacemaker in 2014. I in the next few months will be getting a new pacemaker. I love life with a pacemaker. Now, Susan bates interchangeable crochet hooks, have you tested them? I just have heard of them and would like to hear your opinion of them. I have small hands and heard that the handle is large.
Thank you so much!! And I think you're right, it would have been way too much. And I haven't tested them before!! Am getting ready to test some new crochet gadgets I found on Amazon and wish I had known about these before I placed my order! I'm intrigued!! Thanks for sharing!! 🧶🧶🧶
So glad all is well! Questions: (1) where can I buy the Furls Odessey hook in size 3.5? It seems to be out of stock. (2) What is your favorite place to buy Berroco Vintage yarn?
I've heard that over and over about the Furls 3.5 mm hooks. Honestly, I would look for something else at this point. I buy Berroco Vintage on Love Crafts and Jimmy Beans. You might check WEBS as well! Hope that helps! 🧶🧶🧶
It happened to me, I went to WalMart and purchased yarn needles and a free pattern. I completed a baby sweater and hat. I was able to donate these items to a local charity. Now I occasionally knit items to donate. From a potentially uncomfortable situation came a way of giving back. Hope if this happens to you, will remember me and how I solved my problem.

A combination of nerve-wrenching time, spiritual contemplation, and overwhelming great LOVE!
Thank you for sharing.
Blessings!❤
Awwww, thanks so much, Nettonya. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and coming along with me for a very blessed and stressful week! 🧶❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹
Your videos are always amazing. I’m a crochet addict at heart and love all your ideas.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for your son.
Thank you so much!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Praying your sons surgery has been successful ❤. Your knitting project looks very difficult but beautiful. When you showed the button band I felt panicked. I hope you have time to catch up to your class. Your daughter looks just like a mini you.
I will be able to take it at my pace, so even though I'm technically behind, I can finish as I can! Thank you so much! 🧶❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹
Thanks for letting us know what is going on in your life. I'm glad everything turned out well. Sending prayers for continued good health for your son.
Thank you so much!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Jackson is AWESOME I'm so so happy it all went well 🙏 You and Steve are such great parents Elise, seriously your kids are a credit to you. Stay strong my lovely, sending hugs your way ❤️😘
Thank you so much, Dawn! I'm so glad it's all over with! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
happy thanksgiving. I am so happy to hear your son's surgery went well. Take care all of you.
Thank you, Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️🩹🧶🦃
Your family is in my prayers. ❤ I know the stress and heartache you’ve been going through as my adult son has ongoing medical needs. Crocheting definitely helps calm my mind when I’m coming unglued. Thank you for continuing to share your amazing videos with us!
My heart goes out to you. There's nothing worse than watching your child go through something so difficult. ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Prayers. I used to be a Pacemaker Technician for a group of 9 Cardiologist’s, I also worked as a Cath Lab Technician.
Oh that's amazing! Jackson has a leadless pacemaker and we are so glad the surgery is over and he's on the mend! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
I am so glad that all went well for Jackson. How grateful I am that we live in a world of amazing medical procedures, keeping our loved ones well. Your Norwegian jumper will be a work of art when it is finished - how darling are those buttons? Sending hugs to you all from the chilly UK xx
Thank you so much! I am so very thankful to live in these times! Hope you stay cozy and warm there!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Such good news that Jackson’s surgery went well. What a sweetheart he is!! Your knitting is beautiful and those yarns are gorgeous!!
Thank you! He is the sweetest young man! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Your son is so sweet and I think looks just like you! Happy he’s going to do so well. I know sometimes it’s hard to be strong for your children. Hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as mine! I’m sure it was with your beautiful family!❤❤❤
Thank you so very much! He is such a sweet young man! I'm so glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!! 🧶❤️🩹🦃
Hi Elise. Thank u so so much for this video. Glad everything went OK. My thoughts and love r with u all .
Thank you so very much!! He's doing so much better!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
you went by my house going to Duke.
Speedy recovery for him. My cardiologist moved to Duke.
So many prayers for your family. Happy Thanksgiving!!! - Kimberly
Thank you!! Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️🩹🧶🦃
Thank you so much!! I keep pushing myself with the cardigan. I fix those mistakes and keep moving forward!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
So glad to know that your son is doing well. Praying for him to have a healthy life and a wonderful future ahead. All the best to you and your family
Thank you so very much!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet 💙💙💙💜 blessings for Advent!!
Yes our quiet time with God is precious. So glad all went well with your son. Your project is beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you so much! Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️🩹🧶🦃
You have a beautiful family and Jackson is looking great🫂❤
Thank you so much!! We are thrilled to see how well he's doing!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Thank you so much!! ❤️🩹 I just hope I don't completely mess up the cardigan!! 😂
I’m so glad your son’s procedure went well!! 🙏🏻 Your cardigan is looking beautiful and I can’t wait to see it finished! Also, those buttons and button band are gorgeous!! 😍
Thank you so much, Taralah! The buttons and button band are even more beautiful in person!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
All the best for your son! You all have been through quite a bit with his health issues. May you all have a lovely, relaxed and catastrophe-free Christmas season! Love from Germany 🥰
Thank you so much!! Merry Christmas to you!! 🎄🎄🎄
💜💜💜🧶🧶🧶
@@StitchesbySharonH exactly!! 😂
It reminds me of the wonderful Colonel Brandon in Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility saying “give me an occupation, lest I run mad.”
Anyhoo, it’s all trivium compared to the blessing of having it all go well in that operating room & afterwards.
I’m so glad it went well. I know this message comes from months after this event. Hopefully, this can be a reminder of how blessed our lives truly are. ❤
Thank you so very much and the quote from Jane Austen is something I should get put on a T-shirt!!! 🧶❤️🧶❤️
I agree, the colors, buttons and pattern are beautiful
Thank you so much! ❤️🩹🧶🐑💙
Prayers for Jackson, and all of you. Recently found you when I decided to take on Amigurumi and LOVE your videos! Hope to try knitting again sometime in the future. Take care of that beautiful boy, AND don’t forget to take care of YOU!
Awww! Thank you so much!! He is doing so well!! I feel like I can breathe again! 🧶🧶🧶
Glad it went well ❤️🩹.
Thank you so much!! 🦃❤️🩹🧶
Oh Elise, what an adventure you three went on. I'm so glad your son's surgery went well. Biggest hugs to you! Not getting to keep your hands busy as a worried mama is rough😪 I would've wanted to run into a yarn store too, hehe
Thank you so much, Katie!! I'm so glad it's all over with!! Thankfully those amazing nurses kept us pretty busy the whole time we were there! 😂❤️🩹🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet I didn’t realize it was an older video until you mentioned your 🐶 dog
I’m so glad the surgery came out well. I have forgotten my knitting before I just find the nearest Walmart and buy more. In fact I’ve done this so many times that I now have a knitting project in both vehicles that I work on only in the car. I also have spare needles etc in the glove box 😂
The mountains are just gorgeous! I live pretty close to Mount Rainier I love it. My son lives in Raleigh North Carolina. When I visit I’ll have to have him take us there. ❤❤
Thank you so much!! That's such a good idea to keep a project in the car at all times!! ❤️❤️❤️
So glad everything went well with the surgery.
Thank you! 🧶❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹
Hello Elise 👋👋. All I seem to do at the hospital 🙏. My husband has had a lot of surgeries. His heart. Broken arm.stay safe and healthy. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Awwww, my heart goes out to you, Deb. Being in the hospital is so stressful and draining. 🙏🏻🧶❤️🩹
Oh what a stressful time for you all I hope he has a swift recovery
Thank you so much!! He's getting better every day! 🧶❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹
So happy the surgery went well…it brought tears to my eyes knowing how much we all have to be grateful…love the sweater …it already looks amazing…❤
Thank you so much! We really do have so much to be thankful for. I'm not very good at recognizing it sometimes, but I'm working on it!! Happy Thanksgiving!! ❤️🩹🧶🦃
I am so glad everything went well. Continuing in prayer for Jackson.
Thank you so very much! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Thank you for sharing that. I hadn't thought of it that way!! ❤️🩹🧶🙏🏻
Get well wishes to Jackson! Kofte will be beautiful.
Thank you so much! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
God is in the details! He was with your son through his surgery and you made it without your knitting. Mary Dyke, RN
Thank you so much, Mary! I totally agree, He got us through. ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
I have been in this situation before (more times than I like) so now I have a back up knitting project in my car! Just one of my coping strategies!
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Hi Elise,
Thank you for sharing- I hope you and your family had a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🥧
I’m so glad to hear all went well for Jackson and the surgery went well. And your daughters wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful that place is really beautiful ⛪️
God bless you all.
Your Kofte is going to be stunning, I will one day learn how to knit but for now I’ll just admire your work 😍
Take care and stay safe and warm. God bless 🙏🏼💗😊🧶
Thank you so much!! It was a wonderful thanksgiving knowing our son was through the surgery and back home. So much to be thankful for this year. ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶

Thank you! I think you're right. This project requires a lot of focus and it would have been too much! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
You probably would have had to rip back anyway. I failed at the cowl class! My stitches were not good. Glad it worked out. Jackson is a trouper.
Yes, I think it was for the best that I didn't have a project with me! Would not have been able to focus!! 🧶🧶🧶
I'm really glad he's okay. Let him know I'm sending good wishes/thoughts to him from New Jersey, :)
Honestly, I think your assessment was right.
Would love the healing energy! Thank you! And yes, he's still my baby no matter how old he is! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
So happy all is well❤love you
Thank you so much! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
God bless you all.
Thank you!! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
You two are awesome parents. :)
Thank you so much! ❤
Thank you so much!! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹 I think all of us knitters and crocheters "listen" to the television! 😂📺📺📺
@@EliseRoseCrochet Yes exactly 🤣
I was born and raised with the Appalachian mountains practically in my backyard.
It's such a beautiful place! Love being able to drive up in just a couple of hours! ⛰️⛰️⛰️
Oh my dear. Sorry about everything.
Thank you so much. He's doing so much better now! ❤️❤️❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Oh thank goodness. Much love to you and your family...
So glad his surgery went well ❤I knew how he feels I’ve actually been there before. I got my pacemaker at 13
Oh wow!! I hope you're still doing well! It is a huge relief to have the decision and the surgery behind us. ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
Hey Jackson, hope you’re doing very well ❤
Thank you! He is doing much better! ❤️❤️❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochet that is wonderful news☺️
great to hear jackson is well, maybe now you can sneak to a yarn shop and buy some yarn ;)
Haha!! We are home now and I have more yarn than I actually need!! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet you can never have to much yarn :p
I would have totally stopped into a yarn shop and bought something.
Haha!! It ended up being a good thing. There wasn't a lot of just sitting except for during the surgery itself.
Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️🩹🧶❤️🩹🧶
If you can do colorwork in knit, you're an expert in my book!
Lol. It's going to be putting it all together into a garment that will actually fit me is the part I'm nervous about!! 🧶🧶🧶
