I heard the rumors when I was a kid too. I remember one guy told me how he got Waluigi in SM64DS, and for some reason I still remember his method. First, find all the sparkling rabbits and claim their power star. Then, as Luigi, go to the mirror room where Snowman's Land and Wario's painting are. Grab one of the power flowers used to enter Wario's painting and run down to the room where you swap characters as fast as you can. If the power-up is still active, enter the other Peach window opposite of the one used to get to Peach's Secret Slide. If done correctly, Waluigi will be behind the window and will be unlocked. The empty room where the sparkling rabbits' power star was will now have a purple frame with Waluigi's symbol above it and a purple carpet in front of the door. No matter how many times I tried this as a kid, the power flower always ran out when I went through the door to get from the upstairs to the main area.

@@Theamazingsamdwich And there are far more beyond that, Tip of the day if the requirements are so critical and requires too many things and very certain levels and placements it's probably not real Like one time so many people believed Sonic was unlocked in Melee if you eliminate 20 fighters in cruel smash which of course you don't but funny enough Sonic was planned to be in the game they just ran out of time. Which means that in some cases even though they aren't unlockables they were planned to be in the game just didn't make it like how Luigi was planned for Mario 64 but had to scrap him But in the case of Mario 64 DS even though there were purple bunny's as placeholders Waluigi was never planned to be in the game giving Waluigi fans and even bigger slap to the face
